New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. has taken over as the team's lead back over the past two games with Cam Skattebo (ankle) out for the season. After playing fewer snaps than veteran Devin Singletary in Week 9 against the 49ers, Tracy took back the lead role in Week 10, playing 65.7% of the snaps and handling 14 carries for 71 yards, and added one reception (two targets) for no yards. The first half was a struggle for the second-year back, gaining zero yards on five carries, but he bounced back with a strong second half and should have some positive momentum rolling into Week 11 against the Packers. Tracy could catch more passes with a less mobile Jameis Winston filling in for an injured Jaxson Dart (concussion) on Sunday, and ranks as RotoBaller's RB24 in PPR leagues.

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. remains the team's starter heading into Week 10 against the Chicago Bears, offensive coordinator Mike Kafka told members of the media. When asked about Tracy and Devin Singletary handling a roughly equal snap share last week, Kafka explained that snaps are allocated based on the flow of the game, and factors include players who are running well and whether a running back taps their helmet to come out of the game. He said that it's difficult to track running back snaps when a drive is moving quickly, and it's easier to monitor per quarter or per half. All of these comments seem to indicate that while Tracy will earn the start in Week 10, New York's backfield structure is dynamic. We could see Tracy lead the backfield in some weeks, Singletary in some weeks, and an even split from time to time. For now, Tracy remains the preferred Giants running back in fantasy football, ranking as a high-end RB3 against a solid Bears run defense.

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. is in a precarious fantasy position entering Week 10, as he is dealing with a murky workload split and a difficult opponent. Despite the season-ending injury to Cam Skattebo, Tracy Jr. saw only five carries for 18 yards in Week 9, being out-carried by Devin Singletary (eight) as the Giants transitioned to a running back committee approach. As the 47th-ranked fantasy RB, averaging 5.56 points per game, Tracy Jr.'s outlook is dimmed by the upcoming matchup with the Chicago Bears, who, while generally a poor defense, have been tougher against the run. The Bears are the 21st-ranked fantasy defense against running backs, allowing a hefty 22.73 points per game, which does offer a glimmer of hope for a committee back. Given his diminished role and low 3.5 yards per carry average, Tracy Jr. remains a risky Flex option.

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. is in line to serve as the team's lead back in Week 9 with rookie Cam Skattebo (ankle) sidelined for the remainder of the season. The 25-year-old began the season as the Giants' starter, but ended up missing two games due to a shoulder injury, which opened the door for Skattebo. Now, Tracy and veteran Devin Singletary are expected to see the majority of the snaps moving forward. Tracy hasn't been overly efficient with his touches in six games this season, handling 45 carries for 159 yards and a touchdown while adding 10 catches for 68 yards on 16 targets. The New York offense looks much more exciting with rookie Jaxson Dart at the helm, although they are lacking legitimate pass-catching threats at the moment. Tracy ranks as RotoBaller's RB17 for the Giants' Week 9 matchup at home against the San Francisco Giants.

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. has had a relatively quiet season so far after missing two games with a shoulder injury, which allowed rookie Cam Skattebo to take over as lead back. With Skattebo now out for the season after suffering an ankle injury in Week 8 against the Eagles, Tracy is set up to handle the majority of the touches in New York's backfield. The 25-year-old worked as the Giants' lead back last season from Week 5 on and earned over 17 opportunities per game while playing 68.3% of the snaps. He averaged 14.3 PPR points per game during that stretch, ranking as RB20. Veteran Devin Singletary should mix in for touches occasionally, but most of the volume will likely go to Tracy. He's a must-add player this week and is worth a heavy FAAB investment if he is available.

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. has had a disappointing second season in some respects, recording just 227 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown across six games played. However, Tracy Jr. could now find himself back in a lead role in the Giants' backfield after star rookie running back Cam Skattebo (ankle) suffered a season-ending dislocated ankle in Week 8. Tracy Jr. was productive as a rookie in 2024, recording 1,123 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns on 230 touches across 17 games (12 starts). The Giants could also give veteran Devin Singletary some touches, but Tracy Jr. should be expected to dominate touches. In any fantasy league where he is available, Tracy Jr. is a must-add player off the waiver wire heading into a Week 9 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. remains a volatile, low-end flex option for the Week 8 road rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles, despite flashing with a 31-yard touchdown run last week. Currently ranked as the RB54 for the 2025 season and averaging only 5.48 Fantasy Points Per Game, Tracy is operating as the clear backup to Cam Skattebo. The divisional matchup presents a favorable rushing environment, as the Eagles defense ranks 25th against fantasy RBs, yielding an average of 23.39 points per game to the position. However, Tracy was completely shut down by this same defense in Week 6, logging just four carries for 6 yards and zero receptions, severely limiting his floor and making him reliant solely on an explosive play to hit value.

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. is a low-end flex option for Week 7, as he is firmly relegated to the backup role behind rookie Cam Skattebo. Tracy's season-long statistics are already concerning, with only 74 rushing yards on 26 carries for a meager 2.8 average yards per carry, and zero touchdowns on the year. This week presents a very challenging matchup, as the Broncos' defense ranks as the 4th-ranked fantasy defense against running backs, allowing just 17.47 fantasy points per game. Their rush defense is stifling, giving up only 89.0 rushing yards per game and having allowed a league-low two rushing touchdowns on the season. Following his return in Week 6, Tracy managed only four carries for six yards, suggesting minimal opportunity against one of the NFL's most dominant defenses.
