New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor performed well in his second start of the season last weekend and will try to build off of it against a fickle Atlanta Falcons defense this Sunday. The veteran wasn't exactly a fantasy-viable option in Week 12, although New York's offense encouragingly showed a bit of rhythm for at least one game. Atlanta has been formidable at times this season, affording opposing QBs the eleventh-fewest fantasy points per outing (15.41). Furthermore, their 190.4 passing yards per game allowed is the eighth-best mark in the league. While a porous rush defense may contribute to the overall numbers, it doesn't change Taylor's status as a risky play, making him only a low-ceiling streaming option in superflex/2QB formats. The 36-year-old is RotoBaller's QB26 in Week 13's ranks.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor performed well in his second start of the season in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens, completing 17 of 28 pass attempts for 222 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while adding five carries for 19 yards. Taylor performed well enough against his former team to remain the Jets starter moving forward. His 7.9 yards per attempt ranked eighth among quarterbacks, and his 71.3 QBR was the fifth-best mark in Week 12. The 36-year-old was a noticeable improvement over Fields for at least this game, with one of their trade deadline acquisitions, John Metchie III, posting a career high six catches for 65 yards and a touchdown. Still, the ceiling isn't high for Taylor in fantasy, and he's best viewed as a QB2/QB3 for Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor will remain the team's starting QB, according to Dennis Waszak Jr. "I thought he did a really good job for us. So, looking forward to seeing how he's going to operate moving forward -- because I know you guys want to ask me that question," head coach Aaron Glenn said on Monday. In his second start of the year, Taylor went 17-for-28 passing for a season-high 222 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the 23-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The 36-year-old also added five carries for 19 yards. Although Taylor couldn't help the Jets win, he did improve the passing game slightly and will continue to make starts with Justin Fields sitting on the bench. Taylor brings a low ceiling in fantasy football, though, as a QB2/3 as he heads into a Week 13 meeting with the Atlanta Falcons.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets QB Tyrod Taylor went 17-for-28 for 222 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12. He also rushed for 19 yards on five carries during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Taylor had a decent game against the Ravens and will likely continue to be the starting quarterback for the time being. He may have some success against the Atlanta Falcons next week and can be a starting option in two-quarterback leagues.
From TheHuddle
Although QB Tyrod Taylor was named the starter for Week 12's game versus the Baltimore Ravens, it does not mean that he is guaranteed to retain the job for the rest of the season. The Jets plan to re-evaluate the position after this week, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Fantasy Spin: Regardless of whether Taylor or Justin Fields is under center for the Jets, they should not be started outside of deeper superflex fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
In a move that had been put on hold due to a two-game win streak, New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn finally made the switch from a struggling Justin Fields to quarterback Tyrod Taylor ahead of Sunday's game with the hosting Baltimore Ravens. Taylor has appeared in three games already this season, though this will be his second official start, and he won't be given any courtesy. Despite favorable-looking season-long numbers for the defensive unit, Baltimore has been a force since Week 6, a span in which they've yet to allow more than 19 points. Teams have had luck moving the ball through the air versus the Ravens, but the veteran's lack of proven offensive weaponry figures to pose an issue against a talented group of players. Taylor lands as RotoBaller's QB24 for this weekend, and shouldn't be considered outside of a streaming option in superflex/2QB formats.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor was named the starter over Justin Fields for Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens. While Taylor has a pair of turnovers in each of his last two games, he could benefit from this week's matchup. Baltimore has allowed the 12th-most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks in 2025, and the Jets are 13.5-point underdogs, which means Taylor should have to throw the ball often. He'll benefit from increased passing volume, as well as the potential for garbage-time scoring if Baltimore takes a massive lead as expected. Plus, Taylor has some rushing upside, as he tallied 48 rushing yards in his lone start earlier this season. The dismal state of the Jets' offense is hard to ignore, and managers are right to be worried about Taylor's weapons with Garrett Wilson (knee) sidelined. However, this week's game script and matchup could put Taylor into the low-end QB2 tier, at least temporarily.

The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports that the New York Jets are making a change at quarterback and will bench Justin Fields in favor of veteran Tyrod Taylor, according to a source. The Jets will face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12 and rank last in the league in passing yards per game with 139.9. Fields had a decent day for fantasy managers who started him in last Thursday night's loss to the New England Patriots, but he threw for just 116 yards and a touchdown on 26 pass attempts. Fields has finished under 100 passing yards in four of his nine games in his first year in New York, and the Jets are going to go in another direction as they look for a spark. The 36-year-old Taylor isn't going to be a savior for the Jets, but he could be a steadying presence for the offense. In three games this year, he's gone 43-for-69 for 379 yards with three touchdowns and three picks. At best, Taylor is going to be a low-end desperation streamer for fantasy managers in superflex two-QB leagues going forward.

New York Jets QB Tyrod Taylor was named the starting quarterback for Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens over QB Justin Fields.
Fantasy Spin: Taylor is only an option in superflex leagues you can use an extra quarterback.
From TheHuddle
Leading up to their Thursday night road matchup with the New England Patriots, New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn has refused to name a starting quarterback, again leaving doubt about whether it will be Justin Fields or Tyrod Taylor leading the offense. Although Glenn has stuck with Fields for the Jets' previous two games, the Ohio State alum put together another dismal performance in last weekend's 27-20 victory over the Cleveland Browns. In truth, it will be difficult to trust either in Week 11 outside of superflex/2QB formats, given New York will be without its top receiving threat, Garrett Wilson (knee). Even then, New England's defense has been stifling in 2025, affording the eighth-fewest total yards per contest (306.2) to opposing offenses. Fantasy managers can steer clear of this QB room until the offense gets back on track.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor would be a low-end streaming option in Week 10 if he gets the starting nod for the team's home bout with the Cleveland Browns. Even after a bye week, head coach Aaron Glenn has still not seen fit to name a starting quarterback. The 36-year-old looked like he might get a shot to run away with the starting gig back in Week 8, although he was eventually ruled out with a knee injury. Taylor looks to be over his ailment, carrying no designation into Sunday's contest. The sentiment around the team, however, seems to be that Justin Fields will again lead the Jets' offense. Whichever of the two winds up calling signals for New York will be met with a challenging outing against a Browns unit that's been unkind to opposing offenses. Through eight games, Cleveland is third in total defense (276.9) and has forced the fifth-most interceptions (eight) while yielding a dreary 12.13 rushing yards per game to QBs.

New York Jets QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 7, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players can monitor the Jets quarterback situation, but Taylor will most likely be the backup quarterback in Week 10. He could take over the starting role at some point but can be avoided in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets OG Xavier Newman (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 7, and is listed as questionable for Week 10. RB Khalil Herbert (groin) was limited during practice and is listed as questionable. LB Francisco Mauigoa (concussion) and WR Garrett Wilson (knee) fully participated in practice but are listed as questionable. RB Kene Nwangwu (concussion), TE Stone Smartt (quadriceps), TE Mason Taylor (quadriceps), QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) and DT Jay Tufele (knee) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

New York Jets QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 6.
Fantasy Spin: The Jets have not named a starter for this week, so Taylor still has a chance to have some value in fantasy leagues this week. Fantasy players should still avoid Taylor since Justin Fields is more likely to receive the start in Week 10.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor (knee) was able to practice in full on Wednesday. Taylor took over for Justin Fields during their loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 7. Sadly, Taylor suffered a knee injury during that game, which kept him sidelined in Week 8. Luckily, Taylor has been able to rest and recover over the last few weeks. It appears the 36-year-old will be ready to go if called upon to start against the Cleveland Browns this weekend. Head coach Aaron Glenn hasn't announced a starter yet, so fantasy managers will have to stay tuned for that.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Fantasy Spin: Taylor appeared to have a chance to take over as the starter before the injury, but Justin Fields played well in Week 8 and should keep the job for now. There is a chance Taylor starts at some point this season but can be avoided in fantasy leagues at this point.

From TheHuddle
New York Jets QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) is expected to participate in practice this week, according to head coach Aaron Glenn.
Fantasy Spin: Taylor was a candidate to start before the injury, but Justin Fields will likely keep the starting job after a successful Week 8 performance. There is a chance that Taylor starts at some point but can be avoided in fantasy leagues at this time.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn told reporters on Monday that veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor (knee) "will be practicing this week," according to Eric Allen of NewYorkJets.com. Glenn remains mum on who will be the team's starting QB coming out of their bye to face the Cleveland Browns this Sunday in Week 10. The Jets were leaning toward starting Taylor in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals before he came down with a knee injury, forcing Fields into another start. Fields led the Jets to their first win of 2025, going 21-for-32 passing for 244 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions while adding 31 rushing yards on 11 carries. It seemed as though Fields did enough to get another shot as the starter following the team's Week 9 bye, but apparently, New York isn't sold. If Taylor makes his first start of the year this Sunday, he'd be an unattractive, low-end QB2, at best, against a Browns defense that is the strength of their team.
