Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku caught two passes for four yards against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13. He was targeted two times during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Njoku has become smaller part of the passing game as the season has gone on and has only 11 receiving yards in the last three games. He can be avoided in fantasy leagues unless Harold Fannin Jr. suffers an injury at some point.

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (knee) practiced fully on Friday after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday and is listed without an injury designation heading into Week 13's home matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Njoku will look to erase memories of Week 12, which saw him go without a target while playing on 49% of the team's offensive snaps. The veteran tight end has now drawn just four total targets across his past three games as the Browns continue to look away from him when they drop back to pass. The 49ers are allowing the 13th-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends this season but Njoku can't be trusted in fantasy given his current role in the Browns' offense.

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (knee) has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 13 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Njoku was limited during the first two practices of the week before getting in a full session on Friday. The full practice session was enough for Njoku to avoid an injury designation this weekend. At the moment, Njoku is looking like a touchdown-dependent option. Fellow tight end Harold Fannin Jr. continues to split up the reps with Njoku. The rookie tight end has been having good success and appears to be pulling away with the starting spot.

Nov 28 4:53pm CT

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 28, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

Fantasy Spin: Njoku has not been a big part of the passing recently with only four targets in the last three games. He may see a handful of targets this week against the San Francisco 49ers but is unlikely to be a starter in most fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 27.

Fantasy Spin: Njoku has been on the injury report for several weeks because of the injury but will likely be active for the Week 13 game. It appears like he has fallen behind Harold Fannin Jr. in terms of targets among the tight ends and is unlikely to be a starting option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 26 6:13pm CT

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Fantasy Spin: Njoku has been able to play despite the injury but has been held to only seven receiving yards total in the last two games. He may see a few targets this week against the San Francisco 49ers but is only a No. 2 fantasy tight end at this point.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku went without a catch or target in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Fantasy Spin: Njoku has been forced to reserve status in the Cleveland offense, as rookie Harold Fannin Jr. seems to have been the preferred tight end ever since training camp. For now, Njoku should be cut loose, as he has gone from fantasy TE1 to non-existent in less than a calendar year.

From TheHuddle

Nov 21 8:00pm CT

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (knee) got in a full practice on Friday and is listed without a final injury designation after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday this week. The veteran tight end will look to break a quiet stretch in Week 12's road matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Njoku has caught just three passes for 28 yards and a touchdown over his past two games as the Browns continue to lean on rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. at Njoku's expense in the passing attack. To make matters worse for Njoku, the Raiders have been tough on tight ends this season, allowing just the 28th-most fantasy points per game to the position. Njoku sets up as a low-end TE2 heading into Week 12.

Nov 21 5:20pm CT

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (knee) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's Week 12 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Njoku missed back-to-back practices before returning to the field on Friday. It appears his participation on Friday was enough to clear him for this game. His fantasy value is limited considering he continues splitting up the reps with Harold Fannin Jr. at the moment. Njoku has three receptions for 28 yards over his last two games. The veteran tight end is a risky start with Shedeur Sanders making his first career start under center.

Cleveland Browns DE Alex Wright (quad) and WR Jamari Thrash (not listed) did not practice on Friday, Nov. 21, and are out for Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders. QB Dillon Gabriel (concussion) was limited in practice on Friday and has been ruled out. OT Jack Conklin (knee) was limited in practice all week and has been listed as questionable. DE Myles Garrett (rest, illness) did not practice on Friday and is no longer on the injury report. G Joel Bitonio (rest), DL Maliek Collins (rest), S Grant Delpit (elbow), TE David Njoku (knee), OT Cam Robinson (knee), and CB Denzel Ward (rest) practiced in full and no longer appear on the injury report.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) practiced in full on Friday, Nov. 21, and no longer appears on the injury report.

Fantasy Spin: Njoku has not been the top target in the Browns' passing game out of the tight end position all year. He can be played in two tight end leagues, but can be avoided otherwise.

From TheHuddle

Nov 21 12:30pm CT

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (knee) returned to practice on Friday, according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN. It's unclear what Njoku's participation level was, but it at least gives him a chance to play in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders after he missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. The 29-year-old could very well be listed as questionable on the final injury report, though, and his status remains up in the air for the weekend. Njoku has already seen a drop in fantasy value this season with rookie Harold Fannin Jr. stealing lots of valuable targets from him, so he's even harder to trust going into Sunday's game, given his uncertain status. Through 11 weeks in the 2025 season, Njoku has 30 receptions for 288 yards and three touchdowns on his 45 targets. All of Cleveland's pass-catchers will be a bit more volatile in Week 12 with rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders making his first career start.

OG Joel Bitonio (non-injury), DT Maliek Collins (non-injury), S Grant Delpit (elbow), DE Myles Garrett (non-injury) and CB Denzel Ward (non-injury) fully participated in practice.

From TheHuddle

Nov 20 5:40pm CT

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (knee) missed another practice on Thursday, according to Scott Petrak of Browns Zone. The Browns listed Njoku as day-to-day to begin the week with a knee injury that he picked up in the Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. After two straight DNPs, though, the 29-year-old is on the wrong side of questionable to play this Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. If Njoku is unable to play in Week 12, it will open up more targets for rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. in what will be rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders' first career start. The Raiders might seem like a good matchup on paper for Fannin, but they've allowed the fourth-fewest half-PPR points to the tight end position in 2025. In theory, Fannin should see more looks, but he'll also be a bigger risk in Sanders' first NFL start.

From RotoBaller

Nov 20 1:03pm CT

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) did not practice on Thursday, Nov. 20.

Fantasy Spin: Since Njoku has not practiced to this point in the week, he is now trending towards not playing in Week 12. Fantasy players will want to plan for a backup in their lineups if they were relying on Njoku in Week 12.

From TheHuddle

Nov 19 6:03pm CT

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 19 due to the knee injury he picked up in Week 11.

Fantasy Spin: Njoku has devolved to a low-end TE2 in most fantasy leagues after a strong 2024 campaign. Rookie Harold Fannin Jr. has carved a nice role in the offense, pushing Njoku to the backburner. Njoku should be retained only in deeper leagues at this point.
