New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (neck) is officially active for the Week 13 game on Sunday against the visiting Atlanta Falcons. Lazard was listed as questionable to play this week due to a neck injury, but he's good to go and will serve as receiver depth for a weak Jets passing attack led by veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Even though Garrett Wilson (knee) is on Injured Reserve, Lazard has been quickly passed on the WR depth chart by newcomers John Metchie III and Adonai Mitchell. The 29-year-old pass-catcher has not caught more than two passes in any of his seven games played in 2025, and he has just 54 receiving yards and one touchdown on eight catches. Lazard should be ignored in most fantasy football leagues against Atlanta on Sunday.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (coach's decision) has been inactive for the last two weeks, and he's trending toward being a healthy scratch again in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens. Lazard went from playing 78 percent of the snaps in Week 8 to being a healthy scratch for the Jets' next game, and he has been inactive ever since, even with the Jets trying to find ways to replace Garrett Wilson (knee). So far, Adonai Mitchell, John Metchie III, Tyler Johnson, Arian Smith, and Isaiah Williams have been the Jets' preferred replacements for Wilson, leaving Lazard as the odd man out. With all five of those receivers healthy, it looks like Lazard is heading for more of the same. Don't expect him to suit up against Baltimore.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard has seen minimal usage so far this season, recording seven catches for 45 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets across six games played. However, Lazard got a chance to play 78% of New York's offensive snaps in Week 8 due to injuries to top Jets wideouts Garrett Wilson (knee) and Josh Reynolds (hip). Wilson is expected to return in Week 10 following the team's Week 9 bye, but Reynolds must miss at least three more games on Injured Reserve. Still, Lazard's lack of production to this point makes him difficult for fantasy managers to rely upon. Even with Wilson and Reynolds sidelined in Week 8, Lazard recorded one catch for five yards in a game where the Jets scored 39 points. Lazard should remain off the radar of fantasy managers.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard has recorded just four catches for 24 yards on six targets across four games so far this season. Still, Lazard could have a chance to make his mark in New York now that star Jets wideout Garrett Wilson (knee) is facing a multi-week absence due to a knee injury. Lazard missed the team's Week 6 matchup against the Denver Broncos due to personal reasons, so his status for Week 7 is somewhat unclear. If he's able to return to the lineup in Week 7, Lazard could be the favorite to start at wide receiver for the Jets alongside fellow veteran Josh Reynolds in a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers. In the very deepest of fantasy leagues, Lazard could be a short-term desperation flex option while Wilson is sidelined.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (personal) is out for the game in Week 6, as he didn't make the trip to England, where the Jets take on the Denver Broncos. Lazard is dealing with an unspecified personal issue, and Arian Smith and Tyler Johnson could see an uptick in snaps and targets as a result. Garrett Wilson and Mason Taylor remain quarterback Justin Fields' go-to targets in the pass game and should continue to be precisely that with Lazard out. Lazard has struggled to find his groove in 2025, seeing only six targets through four games, which have translated to only 24 yards and one touchdown. Fantasy managers still rostering Lazard should look elsewhere on the waiver wire and target a player trending upward.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (personal) did not travel with the team to London for their Week 6 matchup against the Denver Broncos due to personal reasons. The team announcement states that Lazard's game status is not affected, but it's unclear at this point whether he will be available on Sunday. The 29-year-old has recorded four catches for 24 yards and a touchdown on six targets so far this season. If he is unable to play, it could mean more playing time for Jets wideouts Arian Smith, Josh Reynolds, and Tyler Johnson. Either way, Lazard should remain off the radar of fantasy managers in Week 6 against Denver.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard will make his 2025 debut in Week 2 against the division-rival Buffalo Bills on Sunday after he was a healthy scratch in the season-opening loss last Sunday to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lazard might only be active because Josh Reynolds is out with a hamstring injury. Although it's notable for New York's passing attack, we wouldn't recommend the 29-year-old as a streaming option this weekend, even in deep fantasy leagues. Garrett Wilson will continue to draw the majority of aerial targets from quarterback Justin Fields. Lazard, who has struggled with drops in his two seasons with the Jets, will be competing for targets with Tyler Johnson mostly. Last year in New York, Lazard bounced back from a rough 2023 campaign to catch 37 passes for 530 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games (10 starts).
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard is a healthy scratch for the Week 1 regular-season opener on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With Davante Adams departing for the Los Angeles Rams in the offseason, Lazard was expected to be a starter behind Garrett Wilson in 2025, but that doesn't appear to be the case early on. The 29-year-old was a major disappointment in 2023 after signing a four-year, $44 million deal but bounced back slightly last year by catching 37 passes for 530 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games. Josh Reynolds has secured WR2 duties in New York with a strong training camp and preseason, and with Lazard being a healthy scratch in Week 1, it looks like Tyler Johnson will get first crack at WR3 duties in what is expected to be a run-heavy offense under first-year head coach Aaron Glenn.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard can't be trusted in fantasy for this week's home tilt with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lazard enters his third season with the Jets, a member of the team by way of longtime ex-teammate Aaron Rodgers. He was productive early in 2024, but fell victim to a chest injury and struggled to produce after the team acquired star wide receiver Davante Adams at the halfway point. Adams is gone, but Lazard still occupies the WR3 role on the team behind Garrett Wilson and first-year Jet Josh Reynolds. Furthermore, New York's projected propensity to run the ball could leave targets outside of Wilson sparse, and running back Breece Hall is a threat through the air, too. The former Green Bay Packer's standing in the pecking order - and an overall smaller passing pie - leave him on the outside looking in regarding the Jets' passing attack for now. He's RotoBaller's PPR WR114 for his outing with the Steelers.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) is on track to be available for Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 7, according to head coach Aaron Glenn. Lazard suffered a shoulder injury in the team's preseason opener on Aug. 9 and didn't play in the final two games. The 29-year-old will probably be on the first official injury report next week, but a long as he doesn't have a setback, he could be out on the field for the season opener. Fantasy managers will be avoiding him if he's active, though, as Lazard is merely competing for a depth role behind WR1 Garrett Wilson in New York with Josh Reynolds and Tyler Johnson. Lazard rebounded somewhat in 2024 in his second year with the team, but he's mostly been a dissapointment for the Jets with 60 catches on 109 targets for 841 yards and seven touchdowns in 26 games (22 starts).
From RotoBaller
New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) will be out for a couple of weeks as he tends to his shoulder injury, according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. Lazard will now most likely miss the rest of the preseason after picking up a right-shoulder injury in the preseason opener last weekend against the Green Bay Packers. Depending on how the 29-year-old recovers, he could be in danger of missing the Week 1 regular-season opener in early September as well. For a player that struggled with drops last year and is competing for a starting role in 2025, this isn't exactly great news. With Lazard out for a couple weeks, it will give Tyler Johnson a leg up as he looks to lock down the WR3 role in New York behind Garrett Wilson and Josh Reynolds. Lazard had 37 catche for 530 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games (10 starts) last year with the Jets.
From RotoBaller
ESPN's Rich Cimini reports that New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) injured his shoulder during Saturday's 30-10 win over the Green Bay Packers. Lazard picked up two catches in a span of three plays during the second quarter, but presumably sustained his injury on the latter of which when he was pushed out of bounds. Head coach Aaron Glenn reports that the veteran will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. It isn't good news for New York, as they're shockingly thin at wide receiver behind Garrett Wilson and Josh Reynolds. Teammate Tyler Johnson projects to be the most logical next man up. However, the door is still open for fellow wideouts Arian Smith or Malachi Corley to make a push for an elevated role. We'll likely get an update on Lazard over the next few days.
From RotoBaller
The New York Jets' Allen Lazard has had "a very quiet" training camp thus far and is dropping in the team's wide receiver pecking order as a result, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports. Meanwhile, free-agent addition Josh Reynolds has emerged as the odds-on favorite for the No. 2 role opposite star Garrett Wilson. Lazard appeared in 12 games last year and caught 37 of 60 targets for 530 yards and six touchdowns. The belief during the offseason was that the Jets would move on from Lazard, particularly with the departure of his friend and longtime quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but he wound up taking a pay cut to stay. Now a member of what could be a run-heavy offense with Justin Fields replacing Rodgers, Lazard probably won't make much of an impact from a fantasy standpoint in 2025.
