Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange hauled in all five of his targets for a career-high 93 yards in his return from injury in Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals. It was encouraging to see Strange return to a full snap share and look healthy after being sidelined since Week 5 due to a hip injury. The third-year tight end has been solid in six games of action this season, averaging 4.2 receptions for 49.5 receiving yards on 4.8 targets per game. Strange will have more competition for targets on Sunday against the Titans with Brian Thomas Jr. returning, but he still projects as a solid option. Strange ranks as RotoBaller's TE12 in PPR leagues for Week 13.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange returned from injury with a bang in Week 12, putting up a five-catch, 93 yard performance against the Arizona Cardinals. He was the leading receiver after being out since Week 5. It was an impressive return to an offense in need of a clear number one option, especially with Brian Thomas Jr. out with injury. Thomas Jr. is expected to return this week, but that shouldn't deter fantasy managers from starting Strange with confidence. At a shallow position, even a more difficult matchup and game script not in his favor makes Strange a low-end TE1 this week. The upside is limited, but the floor seems high enough to start Strange in Week 13 against the Titans.

Nov 26 9:10am CT

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange returned from the Injured Reserve in Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals and showed no signs of rust. He converted on all five of his targets for 93 receiving yards. Strange has always been a favorite target of quarterback Trevor Lawrence, and given their history together, Strange provides a reasonable floor as a tight end in PPR formats. His upside will be limited by the cluttered pass-catching room that now includes Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle), Jakobi Meyers, Parker Washington, and Strange. And while Lawrence is not the type of quarterback to make all of those pass-catchers a great fantasy play weekly, Strange's rapport with Lawrence provides a floor that makes him worth an add if you are struggling at the tight end position or lost Tucker Kraft (knee) or Sam LaPorta (back) to injury. Fantasy teams in a pinch, deep leagues, or even two flex spots can also consider Strange for that role. On the season, he's hauled in 25 of his 29 receptions for 297 yards in six games (one of which he was injured early on and did not return).

Nov 24 10:10pm CT

In his first game since suffering a hip injury in Week 5 that landed him on Injured Reserve, Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange recorded five catches for 93 yards on five targets in his team's Week 12 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Strange's encouraging return was a continuation of what he had shown before getting hurt. Across the four full games he played before the hip injury, Strange had recorded 19 receptions for 182 yards on 23 targets. Jacksonville could get wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) back from injury in Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans, which may impact the target share for Strange. However, Strange himself played just 71% of the Jaguars' offensive snaps in Week 12, which is a number that could rise as he gets fully healthy and re-integrated into the offense. Strange should be a waiver-wire target in fantasy leagues with 12 or more teams heading into Week 13.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (hip) is officially active for his team's Week 12 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Strange has been on Injured Reserve since Week 5 due to a hip injury. Across five games before getting hurt, the 24-year-old recorded 20 catches for 204 yards on 24 targets. With wide receivers Travis Hunter (knee) on Injured Reserve and Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) sidelined in Week 12 by an ankle injury, Strange has a chance to emerge as one of the lead pass-catching options for Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Still, Jacksonville could choose to bring him along slowly in his first game back from injury against the Cardinals. Fantasy managers may want to proceed with caution with Strange in Week 12, but he's a name to monitor on the waiver wire for the stretch run of the fantasy season.

Nov 23 8:10am CT

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (hip) should carve out a significant workload in his return from injury during Sunday's Week 12 contest against the Arizona Cardinals. Strange is still listed as questionable for the game, but his activation from injured reserve on Saturday indicates that he will play. The 24-year-old's return comes at a convenient time for the Jaguars, who are without both Travis Hunter (knee) and Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle). Hunter is done for the season, while Thomas' injury is expected to be more temporary. Strange figures to operate as one of Trevor Lawrence's favorite targets alongside Jakobi Meyers and Parker Washington. Strange impressed earlier this season, catching 19 of 22 targets for 182 yards during the three games for which he was healthy. He should waste no time returning to this sizable target share on Sunday against the Cardinals, who have allowed the 12th-most fantasy points and ninth-most touchdowns to opposing tight ends in 2025.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (hip) has been activated off injured reserve and will play in Sunday's Week 12 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Strange had been sidelined due to a hip injury since Week 6. The Jaguars' offense has been desperately awaiting Strange's return, with Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) having been out of the lineup over the last couple of weeks and rookie Travis Hunter (knee) out for the remainder of the season. Before his injury, Strange was quarterback Trevor Lawrence's go-to target and should slide back into that role. He caught 20 passes for 204 yards over five games before the injury. Strange will face a stingy Cardinals' defense that has surrendered the eighth fewest receiving touchdowns this season. Despite the tough matchup, Strange is a viable tight end option in deeper fantasy leagues for fantasy managers.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (quad) is listed as questionable ahead of the Week 12 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Strange remains on the injured reserve at the moment, but has a chance of playing this weekend. The 24-year-old has missed the last five games due to a quad injury. He was able to practice as a limited participant this week. It's unclear if Strange would be limited at all, assuming he's cleared to play. If he's going to play, the Jaguars must activate him from the injured reserve by Saturday afternoon. Fantasy managers will need to check back for another update on his status.

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said on Wednesday that he's "optimistic" about tight end Brenton Strange (hip) returning in Week 12 to face the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, according to Mia O'Brien. However, Coen also said, "I really don't know" about Strange's status. The Jaguars opened the 24-year-old's 21-day practice window last week, and he managed to put in two limited practices before being ruled out for the Week 11 blowout win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Strange is probably going to need to upgrade to full practice this week if the Jags are going to activate him from Injured Reserve and have him active this Sunday in Sin City. But fantasy managers looking for a streaming TE the rest of the way should be looking at Strange, especially since rookie receiver Travis Hunter (knee) is out for the rest of the year. Strange caught 20 passes for 204 yards and no TDs in five games before his injury.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (hip) had his 21-day practice window opened last week, but after a week of limited practice participation, he was not made active for the team's Week 11 win over the Chargers. The Jaguars' Wednesday injury report might give an indication of which way he is trending, but for fantasy managers streaming the position, Strange is a smart pickup with a favorable schedule down the stretch. Four of the Jaguars' next six games come against teams that have been advantageous matchups for tight ends, including playoff matchups against the Jets and Colts. Strange has been sidelined since exiting the team's Week 5 loss to the Chiefs, and the Jaguars' offense looks considerably different since Strange last played, with a season-ending injury to Travis Hunter, the acquisition of Jakobi Meyers, and an ankle injury that has held Brian Thomas Jr. out of the last two games. However, in each of his previous two full games, Strange was targeted seven times for six receptions, and he could become an important part of an adapting Jacksonville passing attack.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (hip) has been ruled out for the Week 11 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Strange had his 21-day practice window opened this week. He was limited during the first two practice sessions of the week before sitting out on Friday. Strange has been sidelined since Week 6 and will remain out at least one more week. Fellow tight end Hunter Long (hip, knee) is also out, so Johnny Mundt and Quintin Morris are the primary tight ends this weekend.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (hip) was a limited participant in practice for the second day in a row on Thursday. Strange remains on injured reserve, but he was designated to return earlier this week, triggering a 21-day window in which he can practice without being officially activated. The 24-year-old's practice participation leaves his status for Week 11 up in the air. Being limited is a step in the right direction, but the Jaguars could choose to wait to activate him until he's 100 percent. Whenever he does return, he'll rank as a low-end TE1, earning a solid target share with Travis Hunter (knee) sidelined and Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) underperforming. Strange had 19 catches for 182 yards through his first four games earlier this year.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have opened the practice window for tight end Brenton Strange, who has been sidelined since suffering a hip injury in Week 5's thrilling win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Head coach Liam Coen said Monday that Strange is designated to return in Week 11 and is "hopeful" he can suit up against the Los Angeles Chargers. Before the injury, Strange was off to a promising start, catching 20 of 24 targets for 204 yards through four and a half games of action. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his practice participation this week, as Strange could be a sleeper to watch at the tight end position.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (quadriceps) is still on Injured Reserve, but the team is opening his 21-day practice window this week. It doesn't mean that Strange will be active in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, but the 24-year-old's return is on the horizon. The third-year TE had 20 grabs on 24 targets for 204 yards and no touchdowns in five games before landing on IR. The production doesn't stand out, but with the season-ending injury to rookie first-rounder Travis Hunter (knee), Strange figures to have an expanded role in the team's passing attack when he's activated from IR. Hunter Long (hip) also missed the Week 10 loss to the Houston Texans, so Jacksonville is hurting at the position right now. At the very least, Strange should be in play as a TE2 with upside when he's back. He's currently rostered in only 11% of Yahoo leagues.

Nov 10 12:40pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said on Monday that tight end Brenton Strange's (quadriceps) 21-day practice window will be opened this week. "He's very eager to get out there and compete... trying to not put a ton of huge expectations on him. More like 'hey, let's just get you back out there, practicing.' We're obviously hopeful, but taking it day to day," Coen said. The 24-year-old was initially projected to miss at least five weeks due to a quad and hip injury that included a ligament tear. Now that he's returning to practice, the Jags will have 21 days to officially activate Strange from IR, but that likely won't happen before the team's Week 11 game this Sunday versus the Los Angeles Chargers. Strange was emerging as an upside TE2 before his injury, catching 20 passes for 204 yards in five games, and he could be more involved when he returns with rookie first-round wideout Travis Hunter (knee) on IR.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (hip, quadriceps), who leads the team in catches through five weeks, is dealing with a hip and quad injury that includes a ligament tear, sources tell Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports. Strange suffered the injury in the Monday night win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Schultz said it's his understanding that Strange doesn't need surgery, but he will be out at least five weeks. It could have been worse, but Jacksonville is going to be without its top TE for a while. The 24-year-old was placed on Injured Reserve earlier this week, which means he'll be out at least four games. Strange was having a nice start to the year before his injury, catching 20 passes for 204 yards, although he hadn't found the end zone. In his absence, the Jags will look to both Hunter Long and Johnny Mundt for production at the TE position. Fantasy managers should be able to find better TE2 streamers elsewhere.

Dynasty | The Jaguars have placed tight end Brenton Strange on injured reserve. Dynasty Analysis: Strange is dealing with a hip injury that's now going to keep him out for at least a month. Poised for a breakout this year, Strange has posted a 20/204/0 line so far and been a bit of a disappointment. Hunter Long looks to be the beneficiary of his absence and could be a good pickup this week. Strange's ADP is likely to go down a touch with his rough start to 2025.

Oct 7 4:10pm CT

The Jacksonville Jaguars placed tight end Brenton Strange (quadriceps) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Strange will now miss at least the next four games due to a quad injury that he picked up in Monday night's win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5. The 24-year-old is believed to have avoided a season-ending injury, and the team thinks he'll be able to return in around a month. He caught his only target on Monday night for a 22-yard gain before departing. Over his first five games in 2025, Strange has 20 catches on 24 targets for 204 yards and no touchdowns in his third year in the league. Surprisingly, he leads the Jags with 20 receptions. With Strange sidelined at least four games, Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long will both have bigger roles at TE. The earliest Strange will be eligible to return will be in Week 11 on Nov. 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (hip) is questionable to return to his team's Week 5 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a hip injury. Strange recorded one catch for 22 yards on one target before getting injured. If he is unable to return, Jaguars tight ends Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long would likely handle the majority of the snaps the rest of the way in Week 5.
