Xavier Legette logged another quiet performance in Carolina's Week 13 surprising triumph over the Los Angeles Rams. The Carolina WR caught one of his two targets for one yard. This is the second time in the last four weeks that Legette finished a game with fewer than 10 yards. The Panthers will be up against New Orleans for the second time this season in Week 15 after a bye. In the last four weeks leading up to Week 13, the Saints ranked 20th in Fantasy Points Per Game Allowed to WRs. Legette registered no fantasy points vs. the Saints in Week 10 and was targeted only once. The second-year wide receiver has finished with less than 5.0 PPR points over four of the last six weeks. It is apparent that Legette has no statistical floor, and he should not be rostered heading into the fantasy football playoffs.

Xavier Legette finished Week 12 with 22 yards on three receptions and totaled 5.2 PPR points. This marked the fourth time in the last five games that Legette registered fewer than 10 PPR points. Legette has a middling matchup this week as the Panthers will take on the Rams. Los Angeles ranks 16th in Fantasy Points Per Game allowed to WRs. Legette's volume has been inconsistent this season, as he has been targeted 5+ times in only three games since Week 5. Considering his mediocre fantasy output and variable volume, fantasy players should not consider Legette for Week 13.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette delivered another underwhelming result in the Panthers' 20-9 defeat in Week 12 to the 49ers. The Carolina WR had three receptions for 22 yards and posted 5.2 PPR points. In 10 games played this season, Legette has logged double-digit PPR points only three times. The Panthers will next take on the Los Angeles Rams, who rank 16th in Fantasy Points Per Game allowed to WRs this season. However, Legette has not shown enough promise through the season to take advantage of the decent matchup. Plus, the Los Angeles pass rush may make it a very long day for Carolina QB Bryce Young. Legette registered more than 22 receiving yards only once in the past five weeks. Due to his lack of consistent quality results and volume, fantasy players should continue to leave Legette on their free agent lists.

Last week, Xavier Legette delivered his best fantasy outing since Week 7. The second-year WR caught four passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. He finished with 18.3 PPR fantasy points. It was only the second time in 2025 that Legette registered more than 15 PPR points. However, he also injured his hip during the fourth quarter. He was a full participant in all practices for Week 12 and is not on the injury report for Monday's game against the 49ers. The Niners have surrendered 36.6 Fantasy Points Per Game to opposing WRs this season, which ranks 28th of all teams. Legette has been targeted more than five times just twice since Week 7. Inconsistent volume throughout the year, despite a favorable matchup, makes Legette an unreliable option in deeper fantasy leagues for Week 12.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette (hip) is practicing on Thursday after injuring his hip late in the Week 12 overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, according to Joe Person of The Athletic. Head coach Dave Canales said that Legette was a full participant on Thursday, which means he should be fine to play on Monday night versus the San Francisco 49ers. The 24-year-old had one of his best performances of the year on Sunday before injuring his hip, catching four of his eight targets for 83 yards and a touchdown. It was Legette's third touchdown of the year and first since Oct. 19. The former first-rounder has been Carolina's No. 2 this year behind rookie Tetairoa McMillan, but he's been pretty inconsistent for his fantasy managers. Legette has had only two games with over 31 receiving yards. The Niners have been a top-10 matchup for opposing WRs this year, but Legette's volatility makes him a boom/bust WR4/flex in fantasy in Week 12.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette (hip) told reporters on Tuesday that he plans to play on Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12 despite injuring his hip late in the Week 11 overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, according to Joe Person of The Athletic. The 24-year-old pass-catcher had one of his best performances of the season against Atlanta before his injury, securing four catches on eight targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in what was a career day for quarterback Bryce Young. Legette will probably be limited in practice on Thursday, but it sounds like he shouldn't be in danger of sitting out for Monday's primetime game. The former first-rounder now has a 24-264-3 line on 46 targets through nine games in his sophomore season. He has been operating as the WR2 behind rookie first-rounder Tetairoa McMillan and has been an inconsistent WR4/flex for fantasy managers.

Nov 17 5:30pm CT

Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales said on Monday that the way that quarterback Bryce Young spread the ball around to so many of the team's wide receivers on Sunday in the overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons "happened organically." However, Canales also said there was a "focused effort" to get Xavier Legette more targets. The 24-year-old saw eight targets in Week 11 after having only one target the week before. His eight targets against the Falcons were the second-most he's had this season. Legette caught half of those targets for 83 yards and his third touchdown of the year in the 30-27 victory. He'll be a waiver-wire target this week after his big game, but fantasy managers will want to monitor his status going into Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers after he left the game late with a hip injury. Other than his performance on Sunday, Legette has only one game with more than 31 receiving yards.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette caught four of his eight targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in a 30-27 overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons. Legette bounced back with one of his best performances of the season after going catchless last week against the Saints. The 2024 first-round pick hasn't been very involved in recent weeks, with Carolina leaning more run-heavy and not having much pass volume, but finished second on the team in receiving in Week 11, with Bryce Young throwing for a career high 448 yards on 45 attempts. The 24-year-old wideout will look to build on this performance and find week-to-week consistency to become fantasy relevant.

Nov 14 11:00pm CT

Xavier Legette may not be a factor in Week 11's matchup against the Falcons. Last week against the Saints, Legette failed to catch his lone target and was held to zero fantasy points for the first time this season. Outside of Week 7 against the Jets, where he totaled 92 receiving yards, one touchdown, and 24.2 PPR Fantasy points, Legette has been an afterthought this year. The Carolina WR has yet to score over five PPR Fantasy Points outside of Week 7 and has not been targeted more than three times in the past three games. The Falcons rank eighth in Fantasy Points allowed to WRs at 27.8 per game. Considering that the Panthers will rely on their run offense against an Atlanta defense ranked 29th in Fantasy Points Per Game allowed to RBs, Legette likely won't be involved in the offensive flow again. He should not be considered for usage in any format.

Nov 8 12:40am CT

Xavier Legette may have increased involvement in the passing game in this week's matchup against the Saints in Week 10. The Carolina WR was a non-factor last week against the Green Bay Packers, only logging one reception for 22 yards. Tetairoa McMillan was limited in Friday's practice with a hamstring injury and is questionable to start in Week 10. The rookie has been the Panthers' top receiver this season with 12.1 PPR Fantasy Points Per Game. If McMillan misses Sunday's game, Legette is likely to move up on the depth chart and become one of Bryce Young's top targets. Although Legette has not been productive for fantasy players this season, there was one notable exception: Week 7 against the Jets. In that game, Legette was the top receiver targeted as he had nine receptions for 92 yards, one receiving touchdown, and recorded 24.2 PPR fantasy points. So it is possible he could provide more fantasy production in an expanded role. Monitor McMillan's status before Sunday's game, and if he is out, consider Legette as a deeper flex play for Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette (concussion) left his team's Week 9 matchup against the Green Bay Packers and is being evaluated for a concussion, per Darin Gantt of Panthers.com. Legette recorded one catch for 22 yards on two targets before getting injured. If Legette is unable to return, Panthers wideouts Jimmy Horn Jr. and Brycen Tremayne would both likely see an uptick in playing time. Top Carolina wide receivers Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker could also see an uptick in target volume from quarterback Bryce Young.

Oct 31 11:50pm CT

Second-year wide receiver Xavier Legette will play in Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers despite missing two practices earlier in the week due to illness. Legette is coming off a disappointing Week 8 performance, where he logged 3.7 PPR fantasy points with two receptions and 17 receiving yards. This continues a concerning trend for Legette, as outside of Week 7 against the New York Jets, he was not targeted more than three times in a game by Panthers QBs since Week 2. Jalen Coker, who returned in Week 7 after recovering from a quad injury, finished with more receptions (3) and outdistanced Legette in receiving yards last week, 36 to 17. Despite Bryce Young returning as the starting QB this week, both McMillan and Coker will continue to be more involved in the passing game than Legette. The second-year Panthers WR is not rosterable right now.

Oct 31 1:20pm CT

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette (illness) was a full participant at Friday's practice. Legette had been held out of the week's first two practices with an illness, but he appears to have recovered, and he carries no injury designation heading into the team's Week 9 matchup with the Packers. With quarterback Bryce Young (ankle) also carrying no injury designation after missing one week with an ankle sprain, the Panthers' offense will look to get back on track after putting up fewer than 250 total yards and scoring only nine points in that Week 8 loss to the Bills. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere, though, as Legette's Week 7 explosion against the Jets is looking more like an outlier than a breakout, and Jalen Coker continues to see his usage increase since returning from the quad injury that caused him to miss the first six games of the year.

Oct 30 3:30pm CT

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette (illness) did not practice on Thursday due to an illness. The 24-year-old's Week 9 status is unclear, but he'll have a few days to recover before Carolina's matchup against the Green Bay Packers. In six games played so far this season, Legette has recorded 19 catches for 159 yards and two touchdowns on 34 targets. If Legette is unable to go against Green Bay, Panthers wideouts Jalen Coker, Jimmy Horn Jr., and Hunter Renfrow would be the most likely candidates to see an uptick in targets and playing time alongside star rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan. Even if he's active, Legette is tough for fantasy managers to trust given his lack of consistent production and the difficult matchup against Green Bay.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 8:00am CT

Xavier Legette totally disappointed fantasy players who used him as a lineup plugger in Week 8. The former first-round pick was targeted only three times by Andy Dalton and caught two passes for 17 yards. In a blowout loss to Buffalo, He carried none of last week's momentum over. When Bryce Young was the starter in Week 7, Legette caught. nine passes for 92 yards and a TD. Dalton naturally prioritized Tetairoa McMillan, and Coker had three targets to Legette's two as the backup QB struggled mightily in a 31-point loss. Head coach Dave Canales mentioned that he hopes Young will be back for Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers. If Young returns next week, the Panthers could be more statistically productive playing from behind vs. Green Bay. But the recent return of Coker may also prevent Legette from being useful at all. Outside of Week 7, Legette has not caught more than three passes in a game this season. He is a cut candidate for Week 9.

Oct 24 9:10pm CT

Xavier Legette is coming off the best fantasy performance of his career last week against the New York Jets. The second-year wide receiver had nine catches for 92 receiving yards with one touchdown reception. He has experience working with Andy Dalton, catching two touchdowns in a three-game span from him in Weeks 4-6 last year. Fantasy players may be wondering if Legette can build on last week's performance or if it was just an outlier. If Buffalo gains a sizable lead, Legette could potentially boost his numbers as Carolina works from behind. Considering that there are six teams on bye for Week 8, Legette is worth a look as a streaming option, even though he has more to prove. Buffalo's defense ranks 15th in fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the last four weeks, so he is not facing a shutdown pass defense.

Oct 21 1:40pm CT

Carolina Panthers second-year wide receiver Xavier Legette is coming off the best game of his career, having caught nine passes for 92 yards and a score in a win over the Jets. With Bryce Young leaving the game in the third quarter with a high ankle sprain, three of those catches came from backup Andy Dalton, accounting for 54 yards on a 57% target share. It's obviously not much of a sample size and could have been skewed by the fact that rookie Tetairoa McMillan drew the attention of the Jets' top corner Sauce Gardner, but Legette and Dalton have shown a connection in the past. In an uninspiring waiver week, while six teams are on bye, Legette should be added wherever he's available and can be considered for a flex start against the Bills.

Oct 19 10:40pm CT

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette had the best game of his career in Sunday's 13-6 win over the hosting New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in Week 7, catching nine of his 11 targets for 92 yards and his second touchdown of the year. Legette surprisingly led the team in targets, catches, and yards on a day where quarterback Bryce Young left with an ankle injury and didn't return. The 24-year-old former first-rounder in 2024 only had eight grabs on 20 targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in four games coming into Week 7 action. While Sunday was encouraging for the second-year wideout, fantasy managers in 12-team leagues will want to see more of this from Legette before seriously considering him off the waiver wire. Fellow receiver Jalen Coker made his season debut in this one after recovering from a quad injury, but he didn't have a catch on two target. Coker should be more involved in the game plan moving forward, though, and could challenge Legette for WR2 duties behind rookie first-rounder Tetairoa McMillan.

From RotoBaller

Oct 18 6:00pm CT

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette was unable to find much success versus the Dallas Cowboys last week. Legette hauled in both his targets for 11 yards in the win. The 24-year-old has two or less receptions in three of his four games this season. Legette isn't viewed as a significant threat in this offense right now. His role on offense could take a hit with Jalen Coker (quad) returning from the injured reserve. Honestly, no one on this offense is trustworthy outside of Tetairoa McMillan and Rico Dowdle right now. Legette is a touchdown-dependent option against the New York Jets in Week 7.

From RotoBaller

Oct 11 12:00pm CT

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette returned in Week 5 from a hamstring injury that cost him two games and recorded two catches for 31 yards and a touchdown on three targets against the Miami Dolphins. Legette now has six catches for 39 yards and a score on 18 targets across three games this season. The Panthers have a favorable matchup on paper in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys, who allowed the most passing yards (1,520) and second-most passing touchdowns (12) in the NFL through the first five weeks of the season. Still, Legette's role in the Panthers' offense and his ability to produce are not secure enough to make him a trustworthy fantasy wide receiver. Additionally, Legette could have additional target competition in Week 6 with Panthers wideout Jalen Coker (quad) potentially set to return from Injured Reserve for his season debut. Legette should be avoided by fantasy managers against Dallas in Week 6.
