Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland has earned a bigger role in the offense ever since his 118-yard performance in Week 9. Since then, Loveland has finished with 40 receiving yards in every game but one. Last week, Loveland saw six targets, which was the second-highest total of the year during the win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The 21-year-old figures to remain a consistent part of the passing game ahead of the Week 14 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Loveland is on the TE1/2 borderline in fantasy football as he sees more involvement in Chicago's passing game, but he faces a difficult matchup this weekend. Green Bay has allowed the fewest half-PPR points to TEs in the last three games.

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland hauled in four of five targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in the 31-28 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Loveland has emerged as a key contributor in this Bears' passing attack, totaling 40 or more yards in four straight weeks. However, veteran Cole Kmet remains a factor, splitting the snaps evenly in Week 12 (65%). While Loveland is showcasing his potential, the Bears are the fifth-most run-heavy team in the NFL, and have seven receivers who have 195 yards or more on the season. Loveland faces a tough matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, who have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season. With a crowded receiving room and a tough matchup, Loveland is a risky start in Week 13.

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland has emerged as a big piece of the offense over the last few weeks and had another positive performance in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording four catches for 49 yards and a touchdown on five targets. Loveland is operating in close to a full-time role, playing at least 60% of the snaps in six straight games and totaling 23 receptions (29 targets) for 324 yards and three touchdowns. He has the third most PPR points in that span (73.4), only behind George Kittle and Trey McBride. The 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft is a dynamic receiving option and a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses at the tight end position. His role should only continue to expand in an explosive Bears offense. Loveland will rank as a borderline TE1 for Black Friday's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Chicago Bears rookie first-round tight end Colston Loveland had his breakout game in the Week 9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, catching six of his seven targets for a season-high 118 yards and the first two touchdowns of his career. The 10th overall pick out of Michigan hasn't come close to matching that type of production in three games since, but he did manage to find the end zone for the third time this year in Sunday's three-point win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, catching four of five targets for 49 yards. The 21-year-old was second on the team in catches and third in receiving yardage on the day as he continues to see his role increase in the second half of the year. In the last three weeks going into Week 12, Loveland was a top-five fantasy TE in half-PPR scoring. Loveland and the Bears have a bad matchup in Week 13 on Black Friday against Philly, but Loveland should be a waiver-wire target for those searching for an upgrade at the position. He's rostered in only 43% of Yahoo leagues.

Nov 22 9:00am CT

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland has slowed down in the past few weeks, hauling in three of four targets for 40 yards against the Minnesota Vikings. While Kmet was out due to a concussion, Loveland was far more productive, including a 118 and two-touchdown game against the Bengals. Despite his high draft capital and elite talent, Loveland is playing fewer snaps this season than Kmet (71% to 59%), and without a sure-fire role in the Bears' offense, Loveland will continue to disappoint this season. The matchup is ideal, as the Pittsburgh Steelers have allowed the sixth most fantasy points per game to tight ends this season. While a good matchup is there for the taking, Loveland will have to overcome a lack of volume to be worth starting this week.

Chicago Bears rookie first-round tight end Colston Loveland had a breakout performance in the Week 9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, catching six of seven targets for 118 yards and the first two touchdowns of his career. In two games since then, the 21-year-old out of Michigan has seven grabs for 95 yards and no touchdowns on his eight targets. His role in Chicago's passing game has grown over the last four games, although fellow TE Cole Kmet remains involved, as evidenced by his five catches for 45 yards on Sunday. Kmet's presence will continue to limit Loveland's opportunities, but a Week 12 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers will provide him with another chance to break out. The Steelers' defense has allowed the fourth-most half-PPR points per game to TEs this year, including six receiving touchdowns.

Nov 18 4:00pm CT

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland has seen his role in the offense increase lately, playing at least 60% of the snaps in all but one game since their Week 5 bye. Loveland had his breakout game in Week 9 against the Bengals, catching six of seven targets for 118 yards and two touchdowns. The production has been more modest in the past two weeks, with seven catches for 95 yards on eight targets, but he posted a 75.3% snap share in Week 11 against the Vikings, his highest in a game this season with Cole Kmet active. That number was still a tick behind Kmet for the week, with him playing 78.1% of the snaps, so he isn't overtaking Kmet necessarily, but Chicago used more two-tight-end sets to get them both on the field. The 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft has looked dynamic with his opportunities this season and should continue to see more reps, but it is still a crowded offense that will run the ball a lot. Loveland is a great player to roster because of his talent and increased role, but is still tough to trust in lineups for now.

Nov 15 1:20pm CT

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland was a key contributor in Week 10 and is looking to further his breakout this week. After demolishing the Bengals in Week 9, Loveland hauled in four passes for 55 yards against the Giants, which ranked second among the team. Despite coming off the breakout, his snap count did not improve, as Cole Kmet outsnapped the rookie (69%-63%) in Week 10. Loveland faces the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11, who rank in the middle of the pack in terms of fantasy production from tight ends. Despite the first-round talent and improving production, Loveland is still a risky start in fantasy leagues this week due to his low snap count.

Nov 8 10:40am CT

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland is coming off a huge performance, posting 118 yards and two touchdowns in the 47-42 win over Cincinnati. The breakout game finally arrived for the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, beating his previous career high in yards by 80 yards. However, that surge came with veteran Cole Kmet leaving early due to a concussion. Kmet is off the injury report and set to return for Week 10 against the Giants. On the season, Kmet has played 70% of the snaps compared to Loveland's 56%, and his presence has consistently capped Loveland's routes and target share. With Kmet back in the mix and 25+ mph winds expected to limit the passing game, Loveland is a strong candidate for regression this week.

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland broke out in a big way in Week 9, catching six of seven targets for 118 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears' 47-42 win over the Bengals. The highlight came on a 58-yard game-winning touchdown, capping off a monster performance that pushed Chicago to a 5-3 record. With Cole Kmet exiting early due to a concussion, Loveland stepped in as the primary tight end, logging 79% of the offensive snaps. Now, with Kmet still in concussion protocol entering Week 10, Loveland could once again handle a full workload against the New York Giants, who have allowed the ninth-most passing yards in the NFL this season. If Kmet remains sidelined, Loveland is a must-start fantasy option across all formats, offering TE1 upside in Week 10.

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland finally had the breakout game fantasy managers have been waiting for in Week 9, recording six catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets in his team's 47-42 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The 21-year-old has now hauled in 17 receptions for 234 yards and two scores on 25 targets across his first seven NFL games. Bears tight end Cole Kmet (concussion) was forced to leave the game early due to a concussion, which certainly helped Loveland play a career-high 65 offensive snaps. Still, Loveland's usage and target share are trending in the right direction for his fantasy production as Chicago hits the second half of its season. The Bears have a favorable matchup in Week 10 against the New York Giants, so Loveland could profile as a top-12 fantasy tight end if Kmet is unable to play. Either way, Loveland is a player to target on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues where he remains available.

Dynasty | Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland had six catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns in a win against the Bengals. Dynasty Analysis: Loveland has been dreadful all season but it seems a game against the Bengals can cure just about anything. His late touchdown sealed the game for the Bears and while this could just be a flash in the pan, he looked significantly better today than at any point in the season. Loveland will be a risky play moving forward but his ADP and rookie ranking slide will end with a resounding bang after today's performance.

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland put together a breakout performance against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The rookie tight end has been quiet throughout most of the season, but was excellent in Week 9. He snagged his first career touchdown with a five-yard grab in the third quarter. Loveland topped that with a 58-yard game-winning score with 17 seconds remaining on the clock. He finished his day by hauling in six of his seven targets for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win. It's worth noting that Cole Kmet (concussion) exited this game early. His status will play into Loveland's fantasy value for the Week 10 matchup against the New York Giants.

Nov 1 9:30am CT

Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland will remain a solid fantasy TE2 despite the return of Cole Kmet (back). This week, the Bears face off against the Cincinnati Bengals, offering Loveland a chance to break out. Cincinnati has allowed the most fantasy points to tight ends in 2025, as well as 10 touchdowns, and the gap between the Bengals and the No. 2 team is not particularly close. Loveland and Kmet can both carve out sizable roles against the Bengals, as we've seen from other teams this season. Just two weeks ago, Pittsburgh had three different tight ends score a touchdown against Cincinnati. That's why we're not particularly concerned about Loveland in Kmet's first game back, even though the rookie's workload will likely decline in future weeks. For now, though, Kmet and Loveland are mid-range TE2 options with TE1 upside.
