San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been in trade rumors ever since the team lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII. Although general manager John Lynch has seemingly tried to shut down trade rumors, NFL insider Michael Silver said a potential trade is still "very much in play." "To this point, the 49ers have asked for a 2024 first-round pick," Silver wrote. An executive for another team reportedly said the asking price is too high, while another league general manager said he believes the 49ers might ultimately accept a second-round selection. Aiyuk's camp is reportedly asking for an average salary of around $25 million, a price that San Francisco has been unwilling to offer. The 26-year-old could be a true No. 1 wide receiver for another organization, but the target competition on the 49ers roster has made it more difficult for him to be a consistent producer.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has not formally requested a trade from the organization, but he is still in the thick of trade rumors this offseason. When asked whether or not the team has received calls regarding a trade for Aiyuk, General Manager John Lynch said "Sure. We receive calls for a lot of players." That's a vague answer and does not give fantasy managers clarity on the situation, but it's worth noting teams have reached out. Aiyuk posted a career-high 1,342 receiving yards and seven touchdowns last season despite ranking 28th in total targets (125). With Brock Purdy, Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Nick Bosa, and Fred Warner either on or set to receive expensive contracts, it will be a tough road to locking up Aiyuk to a long-term deal. If the team does decide to trade him, a first-round pick should be coming in return. Although Lynch has stated they would like to keep the 26-year-old, it wouldn't be shocking if he's dealt on draft night.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk recently unfollowed the 49ers' account on the social media platform Instagram. He's also voiced his displeasure regarding his contract situation. However, the wideout's agent, Ryan Williams, responding to a post on X, denied that a trade had been requested. Aiyuk is coming off his best season, amassing 75 catches for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns. Understandably, he wants a new deal instead of playing under his fifth-year option, which would pay him just over $14 million in 2024-25. Nonetheless, while general manager John Lynch has stated the organization doesn't plan to deal Aiyuk, it seems things aren't moving in a favorable direction. As usual in this type of situation, more updates should be on the horizon.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk remains without a long-term contract. While general manager John Lynch indicated that the team doesn't have plans to trade the wideout, the relationship between both sides doesn't appear to be moving in a positive direction. He has already been open about his desire to earn big money. However, in the most recent development in the situation, it was discovered that Aiyuk unfollowed the 49ers' account on the social media platform Instagram. This isn't the first time a player has done this kind of thing. Yet, it's still not an ideal scenario for a club hoping to make it back to the Super Bowl. Aiyuk is coming off his best season since entering the league in 2020, amassing 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns off 75 catches. With numbers like that, the Niners will need to pay in order to keep him on the roster for years to come. The 26-year-old is due to make just over $14 million during the 2024-25 campaign.

Dynasty | The 49ers are reportedly not fielding offers for wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, Dynasty Analysis: Rumors of him being traded are going to persist until he works out a long-term contract extension. Aiyuk has raised the bar for his game over the past two seasons and posted a 75/1,342/7 season last year, showcasing his talent. He's on the last year of his contract, so something has to give. Regardless, Aiyuk's dynasty arrow is pointing up and he looks like a solid WR2 moving forward.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Mar 25 2:30pm ET

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said the team is actively talking with wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk about a long-term contract extension and there have been no trade discussions, despite reports to the contrary. Lynch said the team would be OK with Aiyuk playing on the fifth-year option in 2024. Given all the 49ers' other star players on both offense and defense, it might be hard for the organization to keep the 26-year-old former first-rounder past the 2024 campaign. Aiyuk now has back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and posted a career-best 1,342 receiving yards and 75 receptions for seven touchdowns in 16 regular-season starts in 2023. With at least one more season in the Bay Area coming, Aiyuk should be a highly sought-after WR2 in fantasy drafts this fall.

Feb 28 12:20am ET

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said on Tuesday that the team would like to sign wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk to a long-term contract extension. "We've got a nice track record of extending guys and [Aiyuk] is a guy we'd like to keep around," Lynch said. The 25-year-old is entering the fifth and final year of his current deal in 2024 and is coming off a career-high 1,342 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 75 receptions in 16 regular-season games in 2023. Aiyuk has increased his yardage totals in each of his first four seasons in the NFL and has topped 1,000 yards receiving in each of the last two years while scoring a combined 15 touchdowns. He's racked up 3,931 yards and 25 TDs total in four years and will be a highly coveted wideout in fantasy this fall in his fifth year in San Francisco.

Feb 13 5:50pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2024, said he wants to remain a 49er "if it's the right move." When asked what that would look like, he said "being a champion." Aiyuk finished last season on a sour note after catching just three passes for 49 yards on six targets in the 25-22 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday. However, the 25-year-old former first-rounder had 75 catches (105 targets) for a career-high 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns in 16 regular-season games in his fourth year in the league. He has found the end zone 15 times the last two years. Aiyuk should remain plenty attractive as a strong WR2 for fantasy managers in 2024 as he heads into what could be his final season in the Bay Area.

Feb 12 2:10am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk continued a statically mediocre postseason in the team's 25-22 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII. The former first-rounder finished with just three receptions -- the same number in both of his previous playoff games this season -- on six targets for 49 yards. The 16.3 yards per reception in this game were near his regular-season number of 17.9, which was second in the NFL to Pittsburgh's George Pickens who had twelve fewer receptions and virtually the same amount of targets. Still, the 49ers and fantasy managers could have used one or two more big plays out of the fourth-year pro. Aiyuk will likely enter his age-26 season as a solid WR2 in 2024 fantasy drafts.

Feb 10 6:00pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will have his work cut out for him when the team faces the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII. In the regular season, the Chiefs' defense allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. In their first two playoff games, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo's unit muted the production of their opponent's alpha receivers, limiting Tyreek Hill to 62 yards receiving and Stefon Diggs to 21 yards before allowing 115 yards to Zay Flowers in the AFC Championship Game. It should be noted, however, that Flowers did all of his damage on big plays, nearly half of it coming on one catch out of just five total. Something like Flowers' high-efficiency performance is Aiyuk's most likely path to success in this game as the latter finished second in the NFL with 17.9 yards per reception. Aiyuk will be seeing his fair share of man coverage as the Chiefs played man at a top-10 rate and Aiyuk had a top-5 finish to the the regular season with 3.72 yards per route run against man. In a strength vs. strength matchup and only accumulating five catches in SF's two playoff games, Aiyuk is something of a boom/bust fantasy option in the Super Bowl.

Jan 29 1:40am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was instrumental in the team's 34-31 NFC Championship comeback win versus the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Aiyuk provided the latest all-time moment for the 49ers -- a franchise with its fair share -- midway through the third quarter with a 51-yard diving reception off his opponent's face mask. He would light up Levi's Stadium three plays later with a six-yard touchdown reception to get the 49ers within a touchdown. Aiyuk finished with only one other catch for a combined total of 68 yards. The Pro Bowl snub will go to Las Vegas and confront Steve Spagnuolo's red-hot Kansas City Chiefs pass defense in Super Bowl LVIII.

Jan 27 3:40pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will be a popular DFS play this Sunday when the team hosts the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship game, and for good reason. Detroit finished the regular season as the third-most generous defense to wide receivers in half-PPR scoring. Their worst performances were also the most recent, as they entered the playoffs as the single best matchup to wideouts over the last five games of the regular season. In the regular season through Week 16, the Lions played man coverage at a rate that ranked 10th in the NFL and Aiyuk ranks fifth among all receivers in yards per route run against man coverage. Last week's quiet line of three catches on six targets for 32 yards is unlikely to repeat and fantasy managers can put him in their lineups with confidence.

Jan 21 1:00am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk disappointed fantasy managers in Saturday night's 24-21 comeback victory over the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round at Levi's Stadium. Aiyuk only mustered three catches on six targets for 32 yards. However, from a real football standpoint, Aiyuk was much more valuable. His second reception was pulled from the tops of his ankles on the run and helped the 49ers get into field goal position, points that later on would prove to be the difference in the game. His third was a difficult third-down conversion near the turf with a defender draped all over him, an important contribution to San Francisco's game-winning drive. He'll look to get back on track statistically when the 49ers face either the Detroit Lions or Tampa Bay Buccaneers in next Sunday's NFC Championship Game.

Jan 20 12:00am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will look to carry his 2023 fantasy breakout into the playoffs when he faces the Green Bay Packers at home in the Divisional Round. In his last five full games, Aiyuk has averaged 7.2 targets, 5.4 receptions, and 87.2 receiving yards per game. He had two touchdowns in that time frame. Over Green Bay's last five regular-season games, they allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers. As of Week 17, Green Bay had run an even split of zone and man coverage, ranking 17th in each, which is relevant since Aiyuk tends to do better against man-heavy schemes. Aiyuk should be a good option in fantasy this week, and a worthy DFS play if moderately priced.

Jan 7 9:10pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk played a partial game in the team's 21-20 home loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. With San Francisco already locked into the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, Aiyuk saw his last action of the game in the second quarter. Before he was pulled, Aiyuk secured three of four targets for 25 yards receiving. He finishes the best fantasy year of his career with 75 receptions for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns. He'll likely be taken as a high-end WR2 in drafts this fall.

From RotoBaller

Jan 6 2:50am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is expected to start in Sunday's meaningless game versus the Los Angeles Rams in Santa Clara. With Week 17's seven-catch, 117-yard, one-touchdown performance in Washington, Aiyuk got to within six receptions of his season-long career high and needs one more touchdown to tie his career-best total of eight. The Rams represent the eighth-most favorable matchup for wide receivers in fantasy but a bigger determinant of Aiyuk's success will be his playing time, which hasn't been publicly stated. His role will likely be diminished to some degree and backup quarterback Sam Darnold is starting -- both of which add risk -- but odds are that he gets enough action to retain WR2 value.

Dec 31 5:20pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk exceeded his championship week projections in the team's 27-10 road win over the Washington Commanders. The former Sun Devil caught seven of eight targets for 114 yards and a touchdown to lead the 49ers in all categories. Aiyuk has found another gear in his fourth year, coming into Sunday as the league leader in yards per route run and adding on to his career-high yardage total. San Francisco gets the Los Angeles Rams at home in Week 18, but fantasy managers still playing will probably be looking elsewhere since that game will be meaningless for the 49ers following Sunday's clinch of the No. 1 seed.

From RotoBaller

Dec 31 4:30pm ET

49ers' WR Brandon Aiyuk had 7 receptions for 114 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's win in Washington. It was Aiyuk's 2nd consecutive 100+ yard receiving game. He has averaged 7 catches with 114 receiving yards in those games.

Dec 30 3:40am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk saved his fantasy football night in the second half of last week's Christmas night loss to Baltimore. The 25-year-old went into the halftime locker room with one catch on one target for 18 yards but became a focal point of Brock Purdy's -- and then Sam Darnold's -- effort to come back from a three-touchdown deficit. Coming off the 113-yard performance, Aiyuk faces the Commanders in Washington this week, which should be a good matchup. The Commanders have allowed the second-most half-PPR points to wide receivers this year. They play man coverage at the 12th-highest rate in the league, which Aiyuk ranks fourth in the NFL against at 3.6 yards per route run. Aiyuk has a pretty safe floor this week as a must-start mid/low WR1.

From RotoBaller

Dec 26 2:20am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk caught six of seven targets for 113 yards in the team's Christmas night 33-19 home loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The man-coverage slayer was held to just one catch for 18 yards in the first half but became a main target late. With San Francisco attempting a three-score comeback in the fourth quarter, it was Aiyuk who briefly made the effort look achievable. 95 of his receiving yards and five of his receptions -- including a game-extending third down conversion -- came during just two fourth-quarter drives. Aiyuk and the 49ers will look to right the ship in Week 17 in Washington versus a flailing Commanders defense.
