Indianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receiver Parris Campbell have shown a strong connection early in training camp practices after they spent plenty of time together away from the team's facilities in the offseason. "When I'm lined up in the slot running those crossers, that's Matt's bread and butter," Campbell said. The 25-year-old has caught 17 of his 19 targets between the numbers on short and intermediate routes for 149 yards in his three NFL seasons. Campbell has been working with the starting offense in two-receiver sets early on as well over rookie Alec Pierce. The early returns look good, but Campbell has only played in 15 games in three seasons due to injuries. Fantasy managers will want to see Campbell produce and stay healthy in the regular season before they add him to their rosters in most leagues.

Dynasty | Colts receiver Parris Campbell was a standout in OTAs and was running with the first team. Dynasty Analysis: So we're doing this again are we? Dynasty leaguers have been burned for three seasons running on the hype and impressive camp performance(s) of Campbell, who turns 25 later this month. There's clearly upside for the fourth-year player who could be considered the WR2 behind Michael Pittman. The Colts are also high on 2022 rookie Alec Pierce but, as a rookie, nothing can be guaranteed until we see the starting lineup come week one. As for Campbell, there's no questioning the receiver's upside if he's able to remain healthy through training camp and open the season as a starter, but now sparsely ranked as DLF"s WR113, it's obvious that there's little expectation for either.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Parris Campbell has been exclusively running with the first unit during minicamp. The 24-year-old entered the league in 2019 with plenty of hype following his second round selection. Since then, Campbell has played in a total of 15 games over the course of three seasons. The departure of T.Y. Hilton and Zach Pascal should open up more chances for Campbell next season. Campbell could very well be a major target for the Colts offense next season. Although, it remains to be seen if he can actually be a healthy and reliable option.

Although the Indianapolis Colts organized team activity practices aren't in pads, new quarterback Matt Ryan has looked good, and his smooth and sharp release is a weapon the team intends to use. Ryan's presence has quickened the offense and should make the unit more efficient and productive, especially through the air. Ryan mostly carved up the defense on Wednesday, at one point hitting wide receiver Parris Campbell for three straight touchdowns. Campbell caught a dozen or so balls on Wednesday. Injury concerns continue to hover over him, but he's been very consistent in the early stages of the offseason and could be the biggest beneficiary of Ryan leading the offense.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Parris Campbell (foot) said he feels great and hasn't had any physical limitations this offseason. He is fully participating in all team drills during organized team activities. Campbell had foot surgery in the middle of last season and played in just six games, recording 10 receptions for 162 yards and one touchdown on 20 targets for the Colts. The 24-year-old has played in a total of 15 games in his three NFL seasons and hasn't been able to shake the injury bug. He still has a lot to prove and will have to earn a starting role, especially after the Colts drafted rookie pass-catcher Alec Pierce in the second round.

Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard said that he's "not quitting on Parris Campbell." "But does it mean we're going to sit here and count on him to be our No. 2 or 3 right away? No. We will add competition to the position." Campbell managed to play just six games in 2021 and needed foot surgery in the middle of the season. In three seasons in Indy, he has played in only 15 games (eight starts) due to injuries, and he finished last year with 10 receptions on 20 targets for 162 yards and one touchdown. The Colts have questions at quarterback, but T.Y. Hilton and Zach Pascal are impending free agents, so Campbell could have a significant role in 2022 if Hilton and Pascal don't return and he can stay on the field.
