The Las Vegas Raiders are releasing cornerback Marcus Peters on Monday. The veteran defensive back signed with the Raiders this offseason, but his tenure with the organization is coming to an end after just ten games in the Silver and Black. Peters is a three-time Pro Bowler and has intercepted 33 passes in eight seasons -- most in the NFL during that span. Although he has taken a step back, there could be a few contending teams interested in his services.

The veteran corner didn't practice to open the week, but returned for limited sessions each of the next two days. It sounds like Peters is on track to suit up for this game and he could've been out on Wednesday for rest purposes. Peters has played surprisingly well for the Raiders this season, so having him out there would certainly be a boost for this defense. Otherwise, Jakorian Bennett and Amik Robertson would see increased playing time, assuming Peters does sit out.
