The Dallas Cowboys expect cornerback Trevon Diggs (knee) to be ready for the start of training camp this summer after he tore the ACL in his left knee during a Sept. 21 practice. He had surgery at the end of October. Fellow cornerback DaRon Bland, who set an NFL record with five interceptions returned for touchdowns last year, is expecting his teammate Diggs to make a full recovery. "I mean, a lot of people are not expecting what Tre is gonna come back with," Bland said. I know what Tre is gonna come back with. It's going to be something dangerous. Can't wait." The 25-year-old former second-round pick in 2020 out of Alabama as an All-Pro in both 2021 and 2022 and racked up 14 touchdowns (two returned for touchdowns). Providing he's fully healthy this fall, he should once again be a coveted defensive back in IDP fantasy formats because of his ball-hawking abilities.

The Dallas Cowboys are re-signing cornerback Jourdan Lewis to a one-year, fully guaranteed deal, according to Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team. Lewis played the third-most snaps at cornerback for Dallas last season, behind DaRon Bland and Stephon Gilmore. Over seven seasons with the organization, Lewis has posted 315 tackles, 8.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, eight fumble recoveries, nine interceptions, and 36 passes defended in 99 games. With Gilmore likely headed elsewhere in free agency and Trevon Diggs (knee) recovering from a torn ACL, new defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer will need Lewis at his best early on in the 2024 season.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback DaRon Bland added his seventh interception and fifth defensive touchdown in the Cowboys' 45-10 victory over the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving Day. Bland has made an interception in each of the past three games and taken the pick back to the house in each of the past two. In addition to the interception, Bland also made one pass breakup and ten tackles. The dominant performance was good for 32 points in RotoBaller IDP standard scoring. Bland is a set-em-and-forget-em IDP star when he faces the Seattle Seahawks next week.

The Dallas Cowboys defense played well again on Thanksgiving, leading to a 45-10 Week 12 win over the Washington Commanders. The Cowboys allowed just the 10 points while also recording an interception, four sacks, and a touchdown. The touchdown came near the end of the fourth quarter on another DaRon Bland 63-yard interception return, setting a new NFL record with five pick-sixes on the year with six games still to go. It was a 14-point fantasy performance in standard scoring leagues, which is almost sure to be another top-10 finish for one of the best fantasy defenses this season. They'll face the Seahawks in Week 13 for another Thursday game.
