2024 RTSports Outlook

Gano had a really good season last year, his third with the Giants. He made 90.6 percent of his field goals and scored 119 points. He was 11th overall in kicker scoring. He had four games with double-digit points. Gano has made at least 87 percent of his kicks three straight seasons with the Giants. He has been a much better kicker later in his career and should continue to start for a Giants offense that could be better this year. Gano has 114 or more points seven of his last nine seasons. Gano has a solid leg but not spectacular and his accuracy has been top notch in recent years.

FANTASY OUTLOOK:   Gano is a top-15 fantasy kicker. His numbers should improve a little in this offense once again, getting a few more chances. Gano can get around 125 points, making him a good platoon player.

New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (knee) needs surgery for a left-knee injury and is likely out for the rest of the season. The Giants officially placed him on Injured Reserve on Saturday. Veteran Randy Bullock was signed and eventually elevated to the active roster, but he didn't have a single kicking opportunity in the 30-6 Week 9 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The G-Men also added Cade York last week, but he was inactive on Sunday. In eight games for the Giants this year before his knee injury, the 36-year-old Gano made 11 of his 17 field-goal attempts and made all eight of his extra-point tries. Bullock and York could continue to compete for the starting kicking job on game days on Sundays, but fantasy managers should avoid the situation entirely.

OT Evan Neal (ankle), OT Andrew Thomas (hamstring) and RB Jashaun Corbin (hamstring) were limited in practice on Friday and are listed as questionable. LB Kayvon Thibodeaux (back) and WR Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) were limited in practice all week but have been removed from the injury report. New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (knee) was limited in Thursday's practice for the second straight day due to a left-knee injury. Gano has played the last two games with the injury, so it's safe to assume he will be active in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders, albeit likely at less than 100 percent. The Giants held tryouts for kickers Robbie Gould, Mason Crosby, Randy Bullock and Matthew Wright, for what it's worth. If the Giants sign one of those kickers, it will be a sign that they don't feel comfortable sending Gano out there this Sunday. New York will be getting quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) back this weekend, but fantasy managers should still be looking to avoid Gano or whoever kicks for them in Week 9 in an offense that has been one of the lowest-scoring units in the league this year.

New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (knee) put in a limited practice on Wednesday while dealing with a left-knee injury. Gano missed two of his three field-goal tries in a three-point overtime loss to the New York Jets in Week 8. It's a good sign that the 36-year-old veteran kicker is practicing again this week before a Week 9 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, but fantasy managers shouldn't put their faith in Gano at less than 100 percent in an offense that is among one of the worst in football. Through eight weeks of the season, Gano ranks as the No. 30 kicker in terms of overall fantasy points. He's attempted 17 field goals, which is tied for 10th most in the NFL, but the problem is he's made just 11 of them (64.7 percent).

Oct 28 11:10am ET

New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (knee) practiced in full on Thursday and Friday and has no injury designation for this weekend. As the offense struggles, Gano's attempts have fluctuated. In Week 7, he saw just one field goal try, which he missed. In fact, the veteran has missed four field goals through seven games. He's the K28 at this point in the season. The Jets' defense allows under 20 points per game, so opportunities may be scarce for Gano. There are at least 20 better kicker candidates for fantasy football lineups on Sunday.
