Miami Dolphins WR Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) could return in Week 6 or 7, according to Kirk Herbstreit during an interview on the Pat McAfee Show on Thursday, Sept. 12.

Fantasy Spin: There is no way to know if this will have any impact in fantasy since Beckham has not practiced with the team since signing with the Dolphins this spring. Even if he practices with the team in the next couple of weeks, Beckham will be hard-pressed to earn many targets after Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. It is also possible in that time that Miami decides it is better off with De'Von Achane handling most of the slot work. For those reasons, OBJ is not worthy of being stashed in most leagues.

Aug 28 9:40pm ET

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) had surgery over the offseason, according to David Furones of the Sun Sentinel. Miami reportedly knew about Beckham's injury and procedure before signing him in free agency. Although Beckham wanted to play Week 1, the Dolphins placed him on the PUP list, delaying his debut with the team until Week 5 at the earliest. Furones notes that the team was comfortable with Beckham's injury status and made their decision based on the "long play" essentially banking on the fact that Beckham will get healthy over the next month and make a big impact down the stretch. From a fantasy football perspective, the veteran will operate behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, making it difficult for him to rack up points.

Aug 27 4:50pm ET

The Miami Dolphins are keeping wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list to start the 2024 regular season, meaning he will miss the first four games. The 31-year-old missed all of training camp and the preseason due to an undisclosed injury. Beckham was listed as the WR3 in the Dolphins' unofficial depth charts behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Braxton Berrios is expected to be Miami's No. 3 with Beckham sidelined. When he returns to action, he could still be an impactful fantasy player and warrants a roster spot in deep-league formats.

Aug 27 3:53pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) was placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list Tuesday, Aug. 27, and will miss at least the first four weeks of the regular season.

Fantasy Spin: Beckham has been sidelined for most of training camp and will have more time to recover from his injury. He probably will return around the middle of the season but probably will not be a starting option most weeks.

From TheHuddle

Aug 26 2:40pm ET

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said it's to be determined whether wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) will start the regular season on the Physically Unable to Perform list. McDaniel also said Beckham isn't going to put on a cape and play in games without practicing -- he hasn't been on the practice field all summer. He will need to get comfortable working with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in practices before he can play in games. If we had to guess, the 31-year-old would start on the PUP, but it depends on how quickly he can get on the field. He's running out of time with the regular-season opener just less than two weeks away. If OBJ does start on the PUP, he'd be forced to miss at least the first four games. With Beckham and River Cracraft dealing with injuries, Braxton Berrios is now the favorite to open the year as the WR3 behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Miami Dolphins WR Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) is hoping to practice before the start of the regular season, head coach Mike McDaniel said Friday, Aug. 23.

Miami Dolphins WR Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) is not expected to practice this week, according to head coach Mike McDaniel.

From TheHuddle

Aug 19 4:30pm ET

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) has not practiced with the team this offseason due to an undisclosed injury, and head coach Mike McDaniel said he will remain out of action this week. The veteran and former Super Bowl Champion is missing valuable preseason repetitions with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, but the organization might be holding him out as a precaution given his lengthy injury history. If Beckham is ready to go for Week 1, he's an interesting late-round best-ball option, but it would be a surprise if he's a weekly contributor in traditional fantasy football lineups. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle have a tight grip on the No. 1 and No. 2 wide receiver roles, and rookie Malik Washington could make an impact right away. Beckham has not posted more than 600 receiving yards in a season since 2019, so he can be ignored in most formats.

Aug 14 1:33pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) is working his way back but has not began running routes yet, head coach Mike McDaniel said on Wednesday, Aug. 14. McDaniel added that he isn't concerned about Beckham not practicing throughout camp.

From TheHuddle

Aug 14 1:20pm ET

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) signed with the team 97 days ago, but he remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list and has yet to resume running routes at training camp. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa said he's thrown to Beckham over the last three months, but it's just been "spot catching, him getting to see the way the ball spins, get a feel of it." "I've got to see him catching and running routes with our guys first and getting into the mix first before I can say anything," Tagovailoa said. When healthy, the 31-year-old Beckham is expected to be the No. 3 or 4 wideout behind Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Braxton Berrios, but the fact that he has yet to practice at all with the team with just three weeks until the regular-season opener isn't a good sign. As of right now, OBJ shouldn't be drafted in standard 12-team fantasy leagues.

From RotoBaller

Aug 12 1:10pm ET

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) won't come off the Physically Unable to Perform list this week and is considered week-to-week with an undisclosed ailment. It was originally believed that Beckham would be fine to play for the Week 1 regular-season opener in early September, but that sentiment is now changing since he's still on the PUP list as we head into the second week of the preseason. When healthy, the 31-year-old pass-catcher is expected to serve as the team's WR4 behind Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Braxton Berrios. OBJ failed to stand out with 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 regular-season games for Baltimore in a receiving corps that had much more opportunity than his current situation in Miami. Beckham is currently being drafted in just 2% of Yahoo leagues.

Updating previous reports, Miami Dolphins WR Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) won't come off the Physically Unable to Perform list and is week-to-week, according to head coach Mike McDaniel.

From TheHuddle

Aug 7 2:50pm ET

The Miami Dolphins signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) this offseason to be their third wide receiver, but he has yet to practice as he works through an undisclosed injury. When healthy, however, he should still be the third option in the passing game. He is not the only candidate; tight end Jonnu Smith is coming off a career year in 2023 with the Atlanta Falcons, while running back De'Von Achane has notably worked on his receiving game throughout the offseason. As it stands, Beckham would likely need either superstar wideout Tyreek Hill or star receiver Jaylen Waddle to miss time for a pronounced role in Miami's high-octane passing attack. The 31-year-old former Pro Bowler did show he still had something left in the tank with the Baltimore Ravens last year, racking up 16.1 yards per reception through 35 catches.

From RotoBaller

Jul 23 6:40pm ET

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) appears to be working through minor injuries to start training camp. The Dolphins placed Beckham on the active/PUP list on Tuesday. Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network indicated that this appears to be minor and part of the plan to ease Beckham back into football. After all, Beckham is a 31-year-old wide receiver who has not played a full season since 2019. After catching 35 balls for 565 yards and three touchdowns with the Ravens in 2023, Beckham will look to be a solid third option in the high-flying Miami offense in 2024. Unfortunately, the days of extreme production from Beckham are likely behind us. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle will undoubtedly steal the show in this offense when healthy. Not to mention, rookie Malik Washington could see significant playing time. It is better to pass on Beckham in fantasy this year, but the veteran remains an option in best ball or deep-league formats.

From RotoBaller

Jul 23 4:13pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) was placed on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list on Tuesday, July 23.

Fantasy Spin: Beckham is reportedly "working through minor things" and his absence is not expected to be lengthy. In the meantime, it should give rookie Malik Washington a chance to make his case to win some early-season reps. Beckham is unlikely to be all that relevant in fantasy in 2024 barring an injury to Tyreek Hill or Jaylen Waddle. Even if one of those players missed extended time, Beckham has not proven to be durable enough to be worth much of a gamble in fantasy.

From TheHuddle

May 4 12:43pm ET

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Odell Beckham Jr.'s one-year deal is worth a base value of $3 million and can go up to $8.25 million with incentives, according to a source on Friday, April 3.

From TheHuddle

May 3 1:03pm ET

Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. (Ravens) agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins on Friday, May 3, sources said. The contract could be worth up to $8.25 million.

Fantasy Spin: Beckham's per-game fantasy production has declined every single seasons since his rookie breakout in 2014, and he'll be entering an age-32 season having played one full slate since 2016. Being the third option on any given play further limits his fantasy appeal, but Beckham will post a relevant game here or there. The problem is confidently knowing when to trust him with a valuable lineup spot. At best, he's back-end roster material unless something happens to take Tyreek Hill and/or Jaylen Waddle off the field.

From TheHuddle

May 3 11:40am ET

The Miami Dolphins are signing veteran free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal worth up to $8.25 million, according to Tom Pelissero. The three-time Pro Bowler has been linked to Miami for much of the offseason, and he finally found his home for the 2024 season on Friday. While this is an exciting signing for the former superstar, fantasy football expectations should be tempered. The 31-year-old has not reached the 600-yard mark in a single season since 2019, and he will now compete with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle for targets. He's a nice depth boost for Mike McDaniel's offense, but he is nothing more than a late-round flyer in 2024 fantasy drafts. Despite playing in 14 games for the Ravens last year, he caught just 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns, finishing as the WR63 in PPR leagues.

From RotoBaller

Apr 16 6:13pm ET

Free-agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. (Ravens) has exchanged contract offers with the Miami Dolphins, but Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said the two sides are not close to an agreement at this point.

Fantasy Spin: The Dolphins have shown the most interest in Beckham this offseason, and the two sides have time to reach an agreement. He likely would be the No. 3 receiver for the Dolphins if he signs there and could be a late round pick in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Apr 16 2:20pm ET

There is "nothing imminent" on an agreement between the Miami Dolphins and free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., according to general manager Chris Grier. Beckham was in the facilities a few weeks ago to meet with the Dolphins and an offer was made, but it doesn't sound like the two sides are particularly close to getting anything done. OBJ would offer some more receiving depth for the Dolphins behind one of the best one-two receiver punches in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle if he were to sign with Miami. The 31-year-old former 12th overall pick of the New York Giants in 2014 out of LSU is clearly past his prime due to several significant lower-body injuries, but he can still splash for some big games as a deep threat. Beckham had 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 regular-season games (six starts) in Baltimore in 2023.
