2024 RTSports Outlook

Fant had an up and down first season with the Seahawks, splitting work at tight end with Will Dissly. Fant had some big games but disappeared in others. He was 17th overall in fantasy high end scoring. He had four games with double-digit fantasy points. Fant had at least 50 receptions for the third straight seasons. He is expected to play a similar role this year, splitting work with Dissly. Fant has a lot of ability but lacked some consistency to date. He can stretch the seam well because of his size and speed. He plays more like a receiver than a tight end. Fant also isn't a bad blocker.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Fant could be a little hit or miss once again in his current role. He has posted similar numbers throughout his career, making him a No. 2 fantasy tight end. He is likely to get around 50 receptions for 500 yards and four touchdowns.

Free-agent tight end Noah Fant is re-signing with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday for two years and $21 million, according to sources. The former first-round pick of the Denver Broncos in 2019 out of Iowa has over 2,800 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns in his five NFL seasons with Denver and Seattle. He hasn't been much more than a TE2 in fantasy, though, and he really disappointed last year with a career-low 32 receptions on 43 targets for 414 yards and no touchdowns in 17 starts. The good news is that both Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson are headed elsewhere in free agency, so perhaps the 26-year-old Fant is able to rebound as a more-involved pass-catcher in 2024. Until that happens, though, he should be left on the waiver wire in 12-team fantasy leagues.

Jan 7 5:50pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (hand) won't return to Sunday's meeting with the Arizona Cardinals. The 26-year-old suffered a hand injury in the first half, so he'll finish without a catch. At any rate, Fant hasn't been a routine fantasy performer all year, and Week 18 may cap off another underwhelming season. But if anything, his absence could open up more targets for Colby Parkinson and Will Dissly for the rest of the contest, although neither player can be trusted from a fantasy standpoint.

From RotoBaller

Jan 7 5:00pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (hand) exited during the first half of Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals and is officially questionable to return. At the time of his departure, he had not been targeted yet. The 26-year-old has been inconsistent this season but did impress last week, turning six targets into five catches for 59 yards. Look for Will Dissly to step up as the Seahawks' top tight end until Fant can return.

From RotoBaller

Jan 6 6:20am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant set season-highs for receptions and targets last Sunday, catching five of six targets for 59 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has led the team's tight end group in snap share all season but has seldom been involved as a pass catcher. Going into the last game of the regular season Fant has 32 receptions for 414 yards and no touchdowns. In Week 18, the Seahawks finish the season against the Arizona Cardinals who have given up the second-fewest receptions to tight ends in 2023, though they have allowed a touchdown to the position in each of their last two games. There is an outside chance that Fant's touchdown drought ends on Sunday, but not one big enough that managers playing in a Week 18 championship should bank on. Likewise, at his price in DFS contests, better options can be found.

Dec 30 6:40am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) is off the injury report for Week 17. The fifth-year veteran missed the first practice of the week with a knee injury but logged a full session on both Thursday and Friday. Already an afterthought in the Seahawks' passing game, in Week 16 Fant posted a goose egg and watched fellow tight end Colby Parkinson connect with Geno Smith for the go-ahead touchdown with one minute left in the game. He may get a few extra opportunities against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday with wide receiver DK Metcalf (back) ailing. Over the last four weeks, the Steelers have allowed four touchdowns to opposing tight ends, though it will be hard to trust that Fant will benefit from the trend based on Seattle's frequent rotation at the position. Championship week is not the time to gamble on Fant, there are better options available should you need a tight end.

From RotoBaller

Dec 28 8:50pm ET

After he was absent from practice on Wednesday, Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) was a full practice participant on Thursday. It's a sign that Fant will be good to go for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Receiver DK Metcalf (back) might be in danger of playing in Week 17 after being added to the injury report on Thursday with a new injury, so there's a chance that Fant could be forced into a bigger pass-catching role this weekend. Still, we wouldn't recommend fantasy managers put their faith into Fant in that scenario, as he's posted only 27 receptions for 355 yards and no touchdowns on 37 targets through 15 games as Seattle's top pass-catching tight end all year.

From RotoBaller

Dec 27 10:40pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) didn't practice with the rest of the team on Wednesday. Fant is now up in the air to play in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers unless he's able to return to practice on Thursday or Friday. If the 26-year-old doesn't play this weekend, Will Dissly would see more targets as the top pass-catching tight end for Seattle. It's unlikely to suddenly make him streamable in fantasy, though, as Fant only has 27 receptions on the year for 355 yards and no touchdowns in 15 games played. For the first time since the season opener in Week 1, Fant was not targeted at all in this past Sunday's 20-17 win over the Tennessee Titans. Fant hasn't had more than four catches in a game this year and hasn't topped 50 receiving yards since Week 4.

From RotoBaller

Dec 23 5:50am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant matched season highs with three receptions and five targets in Week 16, but it only amounted to 16 receiving yards in the win against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Seahawks have not often utilized Fant or their other tight ends in their passing game, nor should they be expected to with the trio of DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba at wide receiver. In Week 16, the Seahawks take on the Tennessee Titans who have not allowed a touchdown to an opposing tight end all season and are giving up the fewest fantasy points per game to the position. As it has been all season, you would be safer streaming almost any other tight end available over Fant in Week 16.

From RotoBaller

Dec 21 9:00pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (toe) was added to the Week 16 injury report on Thursday, but he was still able to put in a full practice session. It's worth noting, but as long as Fant practices again on Friday, he should be just fine to play this Sunday in Tennessee against the Titans. Fant should be getting starting quarterback Geno Smith (groin) back this weekend, although that isn't really going to make Fant more attractive as a desperation fantasy streamer. The 26-year-old is the TE32 in half-PPR scoring this year with only 27 catches for 355 yards and no touchdowns in 14 games in 2023. Fant did have a season-high-tying five targets in Week 15, but it led to only three receptions for 16 yards. Fantasy managers should be able to find better streaming TE options in Week 16.

From RotoBaller

Dec 17 6:00am ET

Noah Fant is the only tight end on the Seattle Seahawks who runs routes more often than is used for blocking purposes. It was ironic, then, that it was Colby Parkinson scoring the group's first touchdown in Week 14 against the San Francisco 49ers. Fant does lead his companions in receptions (24) and yards (334) but his infrequent use in the Seahawks' passing game has made him irrelevant in fantasy week in and week out. The same goes for Week 15's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night. Even though Seattle figures to rely heavily on their passing attack to keep up with the Eagles' high-scoring offense, Fant simply isn't utilized enough to see any benefit and can be left on the waiver wire.

From RotoBaller

Dec 9 3:50am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant caught three passes for 43 yards against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 13. The fact that that was his most productive game since Week 4 should say something about his viability in fantasy football. With a receiver group that includes DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle's tight ends are not a priority in the team's passing game. Fant is the only one of the Seahawks' tight ends who runs routes more often than is used as a blocker, but the results of that speak for themselves. On Sunday, Seattle visits the Bay Area to take on the San Francisco 49ers for the second time in three weeks. In their last meeting, Fant caught two passes for 25 yards. On the season, the 49ers have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points, receiving yards, and touchdowns to opposing tight ends, making Fant an easy sit in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Nov 30 3:10am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant caught two passes for 25 yards in Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers. He was targeted just twice on Thanksgiving bringing his grand total on the season to 24. That amount leads Seattle's routinely circulating group of tight ends but it means little in terms of fantasy promise. Fant usually leads the group in snaps, too, though when he is on the field he splits his time between run blocking and running routes almost evenly. Next up for the Seahawks is another Thursday night game, this time against the Dallas Cowboys. Even with six teams on bye, almost any other tight end on the waiver wire would make for a better streaming candidate than Fant in Week 13.

From RotoBaller

Nov 23 3:50am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant added another reception for four yards to his season total in Week 11. The 26-year-old once again led Seattle's tight end group in snap share, though that does not amount to much when the likes of DK Metcalf (toe), Tyler Lockett (hamstring), and Jaxon Smith-Njigba are there to soak up targets. In Week 12, the Seahawks play the late game on Thanksgiving against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have allowed the second-fewest yards to opposing tight ends in 2023, making Fant's chances of having an impact even slimmer. Fant can be left on the wire in Week 12.

From RotoBaller

Nov 18 7:00pm ET

After nine games, Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant has seen 20 targets for 16 receptions and 232 yards. That these totals lead the Seahawks' tight end group should say something about where Fant and Seattle's other tight ends are in the offense's pecking order. The fact of the matter is that the heavily rotated crew is somewhat of an afterthought in a passing attack that features DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett (hamstring), and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. In Week 11, Seattle faces the Los Angeles Rams who have been one of the league's more generous defenses to opposing tight ends, allowing 61.6 yards per game to the position. Fant still should not be relied on and better options can be found in all but the deepest of leagues.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 4:00am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (wrist) put up a goose egg in Week 9 against the Baltimore Ravens, though he saw a higher snap count than Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson for the third consecutive game. On the year, Fant has 14 catches for 226 yards. He has broken a few big plays in games past, but with the Seahawks' impressive wide receiver group and the team's dire need for extra pass protection, Fant is almost an afterthought in the passing game. In Week 10, Seattle hosts the Washington Commanders who have allowed at least one touchdown to opposing tight ends in four of their last five games. Truly desperate managers can turn to Fant on Sunday if there are no better options available on the wire.

From RotoBaller

Nov 4 2:40am ET

Noah Fant will be riding the Seattle Seahawks tight end carousel once again in Week 9 against the Baltimore Ravens. All season long, Fant and his fellow tight ends have regularly rotated in and out of usage, mostly to shore up Seattle's banged-up offensive line. Fant pulled ahead of his companions in snap share in Week 8 and was the only tight end on the Seahawks to see a target in that game, but it only amounted to two catches for 32 yards. Fant has ripped off a few big catches this season but he will never be reliably prioritized over Seattle's wide receivers in the team's passing attack. Fant can be left on the wire for the time being.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 3:40am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (toe) practiced in full on Thursday after being limited due to a toe injury on Wednesday. With 12 receptions for 196 yards, he is Seattle's most productive tight end so far in 2023, though those numbers are insignificant to fantasy managers with the season approaching the halfway mark. Fant and his fellow tight ends, Colby Parkinson and Will Dissly, all share similar snap counts and are vying for attention with the Seahawks' talented wide receiver group. On Sunday, Seattle plays the Cleveland Browns who are allowing the fewest points to the tight end position this season. Fant is an easy pass in Week 8.

From RotoBaller

Oct 21 3:50am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant caught one pass for nine yards in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals. It was also the third time in Seattle's five games this season that he saw a smaller snap share than fellow tight ends Colby Parkinson and Will Dissly. The Seahawks are simply too inconsistent in how they utilize their tight ends for any of them to be a viable fantasy option. In Week 7, Seattle faces the Arizona Cardinals, who are giving up the second-fewest points to the position this season. Managers who stream tight ends or are looking for a bye-week fill-in should search elsewhere.

From RotoBaller

Oct 14 6:20am ET

Tight end Noah Fant broke the longest play of the game when the Seattle Seahawks played the New York Giants in Week 4, catching a pass from quarterback Drew Lock and running it down the sideline for a 51-yard gain. Among tight ends, he ranks sixth-best in fantasy points per route and first in yards per route run. However, his snap share is only 52% on the season, and he has been outsnapped by his fellow tight ends in every game except the season opener. The Seahawks' constant rotation of their tight ends makes it difficult to predict when Fant will see action, but when he is involved he seems to make the most of it. Next up for the Seahawks is the Cincinnati Bengals, who are allowing the fourth-most points to opposing tight ends. Fant is a viable streaming option for desperate managers in Week 6.

From RotoBaller

Oct 2 7:30pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight ends Will Dissly (shoulder) and Noah Fant (knee) are both officially active for the Monday night contest against the New York Giants. Both Dissly and Fant came in with questionable designations, but they'll both suit up to close out Week 4 action. Dissly was held out of last week's win over the Carolina Panthers and will return to split the pass-catching workload with Fant. In his first two games, Dissly put up just five catches for 52 yards. Fant has recorded eight receptions for 97 yards in his three games played in 2023. The passing game in Seattle still runs through receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Metcalf, which makes both Dissly and Fant touchdown-dependent TE2 options in starting fantasy lineups.
