2024 RTSports Outlook

Doubs had a solid rookie season. He found his way into the rotation and even started seven games. He had 42 receptions for 425 yards and three touchdowns. Doubs had four games with double-digit fantasy points. Doubs could challenge for a starting job this year or at least serve as the No. 3 for the Packers. Doubs has good speed and can stretch the field in a hurry. He is an improved route runner, but could still need a little work in that area. He also lacks a little strength, getting pushed around in press coverage.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Doubs is worth a look as a late-round reserve receiver. He could get a little more playing time this year and see his numbers improve some from his rookie season. Doubs can get 50 receptions for 550 yards and a few scores.

RotoBaller's Outlook

Green Bay Packers second-year wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring) should see an expanded role in 2023, with the receiver room losing Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb to New York. While Green Bay did draft former Michigan State receiver Jayden Reed in the second round, he should line up in the slot while Doubs lines up outside. Doubs got off to a hot start in his rookie season before missing time with an ankle injury. He never fully recovered his role, grabbing just 11 catches for 111 yards over the last four games of the season while fellow rookie Christian Watson enjoyed his late-season surge. With an offseason to fully recover, it has been reported that Doubs has built chemistry with new quarterback Jordan Love. Buyer beware - Doubs has a hamstring injury that could put his Week 1 status in doubt. Doubs is ranked as the WR54, which is still a great price to pay for a receiver who could potentially be the top target in his offense once he returns from injury.

Player Notes
Jan 21 9:40am ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught four of six targets for 83 yards during the team's 21-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. After an up-and-down regular season, the second-year receiver showed up in the playoffs, gaining 234 yards on 10 receptions and being a favorite target for quarterback Jordan Love. The Packers have a number of impressive rookie wide receivers that showed up this season and plenty of mouths to feed around the entire offense, including 2022 first-round draft selection Christian Watson. Doubs will always face stiff competition for targets, but it speaks volumes that when everyone was healthy during this playoff run, he was one of his quarterback's favorite targets.

Jan 19 1:00pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will go on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday. The second-year receiver had a career outing last week against the Dallas Cowboys, gaining 151 yards on six receptions and scoring a touchdown in the fourth quarter to put any hopes of a comeback out of reach. The Packers had all of their receivers back healthy for the first time in a while last week, but it seemed to help Doubs more than hinder him. However, both Christian Watson and Jayden Reed played fewer than 50% of the snaps and should see their roles increase this weekend. Doubs remains a flex option in DFS, but managers should not expect the same outcome as last week with all the mouths that need to be fed in Green Bay.

Jan 16 4:30pm ET

Packers' WR Romeo Doubs scored 27.10 fantasy points in Sunday's playoff win in Dallas. Doubs caught six passes for 151 yards with one touchdown. Doubs scored at least 25 fantasy points one time during the regular season.

Jan 14 8:30pm ET

Packers' WR Romeo Doubs had 6 receptions for 151 yards with one touchdown for an astounding 25.2 yards per catch in Sunday's win in Dallas.

Jan 14 8:10pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught all six of his targets for 151 yards and a touchdown during the team's 48-32 win over the Dallas Cowboys. It has been a roller coaster ride of a season for the second-year receiver, as he could not get into a rhythm consistently during the regular season. However, Doubs consistently found himself open in the middle of the field against the Dallas defense Sunday night and gashed them for massive gains all game long. His three-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter with 10 minutes to go put the Packers up 48-16 and put the game completely out of reach for Dallas. When the Packers wide receiver corps is healthy, any of them could have a monster game. Sunday was Doubs night, and he will look to parlay that success into another big game next week against the 49ers.

Jan 12 9:30pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will go on the road to take on the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the NFL playoffs. The 23-year-old has dealt with a chest injury that left him limited in practice this past week, but he was left off of the final injury report and will be good to go Sunday. Doubs has been incredibly touchdown-dependent for fantasy this season, failing to capitalize when his role was increased due to others missing time with injuries. Now, the second-year receiver will have to face off against a stiff Dallas defense and have more target competition than ever. The only Packers wide receiver with an injury designation entering the weekend is Christian Watson (hamstring). Rookies Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks both ended the year on a high note, and Bo Melton has been a surprise bright spot down the stretch. Doubs is an incredibly risky DFS option on Sunday.

Jan 8 5:10pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (chest) left the Week 18 regular season finale against the Chicago Bears early on Sunday and was taken to the hospital. Doubs returned to the locker room after the victory but said on the radio that he was coughing up blood. Head coach Matt LaFleur called Doubs day-to-day ahead of this Sunday's wild-card playoff matchup in Dallas against the Cowboys. We're glad the 23-year-old pass-catcher is OK, but it sounds pretty serious and that he may not be available this weekend. Those playing DFS will want to check on his practice status this week. If he cannot go against Dallas, rookies Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks and Bo Melton would step into larger roles. The Packers will also be hoping to get Christian Watson (hamstring) back for the first time since Week 13.

From RotoBaller

Jan 7 5:10pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (chest) exited during the first half of Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. Prior to departing, he was targeted in the end zone but failed to haul in the pass. The Packers are somewhat shorthanded with both Doubs and Christian Watson (hamstring, inactive) sidelined, though they should feel solid about their passing attack with Jordan Love throwing to the likes of Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, and Tucker Kraft, among others.

From RotoBaller

Jan 5 9:40pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will face off against the Chicago Bears in Week 18. The second-year receiver has been in the starting rotation, with many of the receivers around him going down due to injury over the past several weeks, yet his production has remained inconsistent. This week, however, could see his role change in the offense. Christian Watson (hamstring) has his first chance to return since going down in Week 13, while Jayden Reed (chest) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) are also questionable and will potentially play. Doubs' role as a starting receiver could be in jeopardy if all three are active. Reed and Wicks have been more productive at times over the back half of the season, while Watson's role as the top receiver is locked in. Doubs' fantasy value has been boom or bust as a clear starter, but he will be even more volatile now if Watson, Reed, and Wicks are active. Consider the 23-year-old a risky flex in Week 18.

From RotoBaller

Jan 1 9:00am ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught three of six targets for 28 yards during the team's 33-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The second-year receiver crashed back to earth after posting 79 yards and a touchdown last week, being outdone by Jayden Reed (chest), who exited early, practice squad receiver Bo Melton, and tight end Tucker Kraft. The trend of Doubs being completely fantasy irrelevant without a touchdown continued. Even with multiple starters out to start the game and even more exiting, the 23-year-old struggled to get anything going. Doubs will be in line to start again next week, but fantasy managers will find it tough to trust him in the final game of the regular season against Chicago.

From RotoBaller

Dec 29 10:40pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will go on the road to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. The second-year receiver has filled in as the No. 1 option for the Packers, with Christian Watson (hamstring) missing the past three games. Watson is set to miss his fourth game in a row this week, and rookie Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle) is listed as questionable without practicing all week. Doubs finally capitalized on his increased role last week, catching four of five passes for 79 yards and a score. Minnesota allows the ninth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this year, putting Doubs back on the fantasy radar in Week 17. Jayden Reed will be active after missing last week and will eat into the total target share, but fantasy managers can take the shot on Doubs as a flex if needed this weekend.

Dec 24 6:00pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught four of five targets for 79 yards and a touchdown during the team's 33-30 win over the Carolina Panthers. The second-year receiver entered the game as a No. 1 option for quarterback Jordan Love and finally delivered with a solid performance. Dontayvion Wick (chest), who entered the game as the No. 2 option, left due to a chest injury. Doubs was able to cap off an already impressive game with a five-yard touchdown grab in the fourth quarter. With Christian Watson (hamstring), Jayden Reed (toe), and now Wicks all on the shelf, Doubs could be a viable flex option with high upside next week against the Minnesota Vikings. Keep an eye on injury reports, but the 23-year-old will be a popular waiver addition this week.

From RotoBaller

Dec 22 11:30pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will go on the road to take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 16. The 23-year-old has been quiet the past month, with rookies Jayden Reed (toe) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) starting to take command of a bigger workload. However, both players are listed as questionable for Sunday's game, with Reed missing every practice this week. Starter Christian Watson (hamstring) is likely to miss his third game in a row as well, opening up an opportunity for Doubs to step in and have a successful fantasy performance against the lowly Panthers. Carolina has not given up a ton of fantasy points to wide receivers, but that is because they are so bad against the run. With that said, if Doubs is the only healthy wide receiver that quarterback Jordan Love has a connection with, he could be force-fed targets this weekend. Doubs is a risky flex option in the semi-finals of most fantasy manager's leagues, but he is a worthwhile option if anyone is struggling to find a flex with a guaranteed target share.

From RotoBaller

Dec 17 6:40pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs finished Sunday's game against the Bucs with three catches for 30 yards. Christian Watson (hamstring) didn't suit up for this one, and Jayden Reed (toe) was injured during the contest. However, Doubs still couldn't get anything going. At any rate, the 23-year-old has played well enough for fantasy managers, totaling seven touchdowns through 15 weeks. He could add a few more by the end of the 2023-24 campaign, meaning he should remain starting versus the Panthers in Week 16.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 8:30pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15. The second-year receiver will again operate as the No. 1 option at wide receiver for quarterback Jordan Love, with Christian Watson (hamstring) likely out for the second week in a row. However, that role did not amount to any sort of fantasy success last week, with Doubs gaining only 32 yards on seven targets. Rookie Jayden Reed has been a more explosive option than Doubs this year and could challenge for the most targets in Week 15. The 23-year-old will either need to find the end zone or raise his yards per reception total to capitalize on this week's favorable matchup. The Buccaneers allow the fifth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers and have given up the third-most yards to the position. Consider Doubs a boom-or-bust flex option in the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

Dec 12 9:00am ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught four of seven targets for 32 yards during the team's 22-24 loss to the New York Giants. The second-year receiver failed to reach 40 receiving yards for the sixth time in eight weeks and failed to find the end zone, leading to a disappointing fantasy performance. When Christian Watson (hamstring) has missed time, Doubs has seen a target boost, but he has failed to do anything with them more times than not. Rookie Jayden Reed led the team in targets Monday night, and the Packers made it a point of emphasis to get the ball in his hands by using him as a running back as well. With Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) potentially missing time and no timetable for Watson's return, Doubs will remain in flex territory for needy fantasy managers, but he remains touchdown-dependent. The 23-year-old will be on the flex radar against Tampa Bay next week.

From RotoBaller

Dec 8 8:20pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will take on the Giants in New York on Monday night. The second-year receiver has had five or fewer receptions in each of the last five games and has only cleared 40 receiving yards twice. However, Doubs could be in for a larger target share this week against the Giants. Christian Watson (hamstring), who has been on a tear as of late, seems likely to miss this game, while Jayden Reed (chest) is still dealing with his lingering injury. The Packers are already without tight end Luke Musgrave (abdomen), so Doubs could be the go-to target for quarterback Jordan Love. New York allows the fifth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers, making this a matchup to exploit for the 23-year-old. Doubs has been boom or bust for most of the season, but he will be a solid flex option for fantasy managers in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Dec 4 1:10am ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs led his team in receiving yardage during Week 13's 27-19 home victory over the visiting Kansas City Chiefs, tallying four receptions on five targets for 72 yards. Doubs' highlight of the night came as he held onto a 33-yard Jordan Love bomb on fourth down during the second quarter, which eventually led to a scoring drive. It was the 23-year-old's highest yardage output since Week 4, as he's more or less settled in as a low-end fantasy WR3 amid Christian Watson's (hamstring) recent hot streak. But Watson suffered a hamstring injury late in Sunday night's win, which could potentially set up Doubs as Love's top target next Monday night in an advantageous matchup against the New York Giants.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 10:00pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13 on Sunday night. The 23-year-old has not done much through the air the past month but has survived as a flex option due to his nose for the end zone. This week's matchup against the Chiefs is not great. Kansas City allows the seventh-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers and the fourth-fewest yards. With Doubs already struggling to crack 40 yards on any given week, he would need to find the end zone again in Week 13 to keep fantasy managers happy. Because there are multiple teams on bye, the second-year receiver has flex appeal, but he is a boom-or-bust option due to the matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 23 7:20pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught three of four targets for 37 yards during the team's 29-22 win over the Detroit Lions. The second-year receiver was held to less than 40 yards for the fifth time over the past six weeks and failed to find the end zone, breaking his scoring streak of two games. Christian Watson got back on track this week and saw seven targets, while rookie Jayden Reed led the team with eight. Doubs remains a boom-or-bust flex option who needs to find the end zone to keep fantasy managers happy. The Packers will host the Kansas City Chiefs next week, rendering most Green Bay skill position players useless for fantasy purposes. Doubs will not be a recommended flex option in Week 13.
