Pettis played a reserve role with the Bears last year and had two games with more than 50 yards. He had fewer than 20 yards all his other games. He did not get a ton of work in a deep reserve role. Pettis has more than 20 receptions just one time in his career. Pettis will try to move up the depth chart and earn a bigger role this coming year, but nothing is certain. Pettis is a thin receiver, but has good speed and makes plays with the ball in his hands. He gets in and out of his breaks well, making him a tough cover. He can be a big-play threat. His lack of strength slows him down in press coverage, though.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Pettis just won't get enough consistent work to help fantasy teams. He might get it going a little more this year but don't expect much. Pettis could get around 20 receptions for 250 yards with a score.

Veteran free-agent wide receiver Dante Pettis is signing a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears, according to Courtney Cronin of ESPN. The 2018 second-round pick last played in 2022 with Chicago, and he was released during last year's training camp with an injury settlement. Pettis has hauled in just 71 passes for 984 yards and 12 touchdowns through his first 50 regular season games. He's unlikely to be on the fantasy radar in 2024, especially since the Bears now have one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL in DJ Moore and Keenan Allen.
