The Chicago Bears selected Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze with the ninth overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft on Thursday night. Thats back-to-back picks out of Washington after quarterback Michael Penix Jr. surprisingly went eighth overall to the Atlanta Falcons. Odunze led the country in receiving yards in 2023 and is a special talent. He has length and excels at contested catches down the field. It helped that he had an excellent passer to throw him the football in Penix, but this kid is still special and should have an excellent career. The Bears have now added QB Caleb Williams and Odunze with their first two picks this year. While Odunze has plenty to like in the long-term, he'll be hard-pressed to make a huge impact in his rookie season in 2024 with DJ Moore and Keenan Allen set to be target hogs in this Bears offense.

The New York Giants haven't hid the fact that they will consider taking a quarterback in this year's NFL draft with Daniel Jones (knee) coming back from an ACL tear, but The Athletic's Bruce Feldman writes that they'll have their choice of two stud wide receivers in Washington's Rome Odunze and LSU's Malik Nabers if they stand pat at pick No. 6 overall. But after drafting blazer Jalin Hyatt last year, Feldman believes they'll go for the bigger and more physical Odunze. The 21-year-old is a former track standout and is very explosive. He had 92 catches for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2023, and his ball skills are elite. However, landing with Jones and the G-Men might not be the most attractive spot for Odunze's immediate fantasy football value in his rookie year. But Odunze's contested-catch abilities and ability to play both inside and outside make him very attractive.

After meeting with the Chicago Bears on Thursday, Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze's next top-30 visit will be with the Arizona Cardinals, who hold the fourth overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft. However, the Cardinals remain a prime candidate to trade back in the draft. The 21-year-old Odunze is considered a top-three pass-catcher -- along with Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. and LSU's Malik Nabers -- in this year's draft class and is likely to come off the board in the top-10 picks later this month. He already met with the New York Jets, who hold the No. 10 overall pick and the Chicago Bears, who have the No. 1 and No. 9 picks in the first round. Odunze can do it all on the football field. He has elite speed and can also win contested catches deep down the field. Depending on where he lands, he could be a weekly fantasy starter as a rookie.

Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze, one of the very best wideouts in this year's draft class and a likely top-10 pick next month, visited with the New York Jets on Wednesday and will visit with the Chicago Bears on Thursday, according to a source. Odunze has already spent time with the New York Giants, too. The Bears are going to take USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall pick, but they could give Williams another weapon and take Odunze if he's on the board with their second top-10 pick at No. 9. The Giants have the sixth overall pick, while the Jets hold the No. 10 selection. The 21-year-old pass-catcher has elite speed and can also excel deep down the field on contested catches, and if he lands in the right situation, he could be an every-week fantasy starter in Year 1 in 2024. Odunze was ultra productive in 2023 for the Huskies, recording 1,640 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns.

Former Washington Huskies wide receiver Rome Odunze has upcoming meetings with the Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets, and Chicago Bears at their respective facilities, he told Brady Henderson of ESPN. The 21-year-old is projected to be selected in the early first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and most analysts rank him just behind Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. and LSU's Malik Nabers. He is coming off a 92-catch, 1,640-yard, 13-touchdown season in 2023, and he impressed at the NFL Combine. Arizona holds the No. 4 pick, New York holds the No. 10 pick, and Chicago owns the No. 1 and No. 9 overall picks. Oduzne will be a highly sought-after fantasy football rookie next year regardless of his landing spot, but target competition in Chicago and New York could make it tough for him to have a massive breakout in his first season as a pro. That said, he's viewed as an elite prospect, so anything is possible.

Dynasty | Rome Odunze was impressive at this weekend's NFL Draft Combine, likely solidifying his spot as a top ten pick in this year's NFL Draft. Dynasty Analysis: At 6-3 and 212 pounds, Odunze posted a 4.45-second 40, a 39-inch vertical and a 10-4 broad jump. He was also reportedly wowing scouts all day long with his performance in individual drills, Odunze was a monster this season at Washington, posting a 92/1,640/13 line and looking like one of the Nation's best players all season long. He's very much in play for the top ten in the NFL Draft and should be in position to be the second receiver taken in dynasty drafts behind Marvin Harrison, Jr. starting next month.

University of Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze is expected to take part in on-field work at the 2024 NFL Combine this week. Wideouts will take the field on Saturday, March 2. This news comes after reports that Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers will not participate in on-field drills. Odunze is the consensus No. 3 wide receiver prospect in the 2024 class, so he has a lot to gain in Indianapolis, given the absences of the top two wideouts. Odunze caught 92 passes for 1,650 yards and 13 touchdowns for the National Champion runner-up Huskies in 2023. He is projected to be drafted as high as the No. 5 pick, and he's likely to be taken no later than pick No. 15. He's a clear first-rounder in 2024 fantasy football rookie drafts.
