Dissly was on the field plenty for the Seahawks once again last year but got more work as a blocker than pass catcher. He had 17 receptions for 172 yards and a touchdown. He had just five games with more than a reception. Dissly signed with the Chargers and will look to play a bigger role with his new team. He should compete for the starting job in the Chargers new offense. Dissly had 20-plus receptions four straight seasons before last year. Dissly is a big tight end but runs solid routes and has a knack for making the big play. He also does well in the red zone because of his size and strength. And he blocks pretty well, giving him a chance to find the field more often.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Dissly is not really draft material but could be worth grabbing as a spot starter in a pinch. He is capable of the big game and should get consistent weekly playing time. Expect around 30 receptions for 300 yards and a few scores.

The Los Angeles Chargers are signing former Seattle Seahawks tight end Will Dissly to a three-year, $14 million deal with $10 million fully guaranteed in the first two years on Monday, according to a source. Veteran Gerald Everett is a free agent, so Dissly has a chance to come to LA in 2024 and play a meaningful role as both a pass-catcher and blocker in head coach Jim Harbaugh's first season in his return to the NFL. The 27-year-old Dissly was a former fourth-round selection in 2018 by Seattle out of Washington, and he caught 127 passes for 1,421 yards and 13 touchdowns in his six years with the Seahawks. Last year, Dissly had just 17 receptions for 172 yards and one score, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to be much more than a touchdown-dependent tight end streamer in his new home with the Bolts.

Veteran defensive lineman Bryan Mone has been released by the Seahawks ahead of free agency, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. The move creates $5.39 million in cap space for the organization. Seattle released tight end Will Dissly and safeties Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs this week in cap-clearing maneuvers under new head coach Mike MacDonald. Mone signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and racked up 73 tackles, two sacks, and 10.5 run stuffs over the last four seasons.

Dynasty | The Seahawks have released tight end Will Dissly. Dynasty Analysis: Dissly joins Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs as Seahawk players let go today. He's been a serviceable tight end in reality but Seattle has been known as the place where tight ends go to die ever since they failed to find a use for a prime-talent Jimmy Graham years ago. Dissly may actually find more fantasy value on a new team but he's hardly worth a dynasty roster spot at the moment.
The Seattle Seahawks are releasing tight end Will Dissly on Tuesday, according to a source. The move saves the Seahawks $7 million in cash on the 2024 salary cap. The 27-year-old has 13 career touchdowns in his six seasons in Seattle, but he wasn't much of a fantasy weapon while splitting snaps with Noah Fan the last couple years. In 16 games (14 starts) for the team this past season, Dissly caught just 17 passes on 22 targets for 172 yards and one touchdown. The former fourth-round selection by Seattle in 2018 out of Washington has never had more than 34 receptions, 349 yards or four touchdowns in a single season. Regardless of where he lands on the open market, Dissly is unlikely to be anything more than a touchdown-dependent TE2 in fantasy.

Seattle Seahawks tight end Will Dissly had 46 receiving yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals. While Dissly was the one who scored, it was Colby Parkinson who saw the biggest increase in snaps after the early departure of Noah Fant (hand) due to injury. Both tight ends tied with wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba to lead the team in receptions with three apiece. In a season where Seattle's offensive line was often injured and struggling to hold their ground, the Seahawks rotated their tight ends frequently and utilized them as extra blockers more often than not. As such, the touchdown was Dissly was rarely involved in the passing game and his production in Week 18 leaves him with a final tally of 17 catches for 172 yards and one touchdown in 2023.
