Bellinger got plenty of starts last season despite the addition of Darren Waller. Waller couldn't stay healthy once again, getting Bellinger on the field. Bellinger had 25 receptions for 255 yards without a touchdown. He has 55 receptions in two seasons. He should remain the top backup for for the Giants, playing behind Waller. Bellinger is a pretty good two-way tight end. He catches the ball well and has good size for the position. Bellinger is a solid route runner for a young player and a willing blocker.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Bellinger looks a lot better without Waller on the roster but that isn't the case. As long as Waller is healthy and playing, Bellinger has next to no fantasy value. He can get around 30 receptions for 300 yards and a few touchdowns.

Darren Waller's expected retirement could open the door for Daniel Bellinger to become the New York Giants' No. 1 tight end in 2024 like he was as a rookie. Bellinger's receiving opportunities were limited by Waller's presence last year, but the addition of veteran blocking tight ends this offseason should allow Bellinger to be featured more as a receiver in his third season in the league. The 23-year-old former fourth-round pick in 2022 out of San Diego State has caught 55 of his 63 targets for 523 yards and two touchdowns in his two seasons with the G-Men. If Waller hangs up his cleats as things seem to be trending, Bellinger could be a decent under-the-radar TE2 target in deeper fantasy leagues this fall.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger tallied four catches for 43 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, but it's highly unlikely he'll replicate those numbers against the Los Angeles Rams. Both of those were season-high marks and the second-year professional sits behind Darren Waller on the tight end depth chart. The Giants' offense ranks second to last in points per game (14.3) and doesn't have much consistency at the quarterback position. Bellinger doesn't belong on rosters in any format, except deep dynasty leagues.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger has been a mainstay in the starting lineup with Darren Waller (hamstring) on injured reserve. The second-year tight end caught 12 passes for 138 yards in five games without New York's prized offseason addition. Waller is expected to make his return to the starting lineup on Sunday. If he does, however, he's not expected to play his regular allotment of snaps. Bellinger may see a few more opportunities for one more week, but his window as the TE1 in New York is shutting. Regardless, he didn't make the most of his chance, at least in the fantasy football realm, and shouldn't be rostered outside of dynasty formats.
