2024 RTSports Outlook

Davis was the second back selected by the Jets in this year's draft, getting picked in the fifth round. He was a big, productive back in college. He can churn out the yards. He does well after contact, using his size to his advantage. He is not much of a pass catcher at this stage of his career and he lacks a little burst. Davis is likely anywhere from third to fifth on the depth chart his rookie year.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Davis will have a hard time getting consistent work. He might get 200 total yards and a score or two.

SNY's Connor Hughes writes that the New York Jets seem to really like rookie fifth-round running back Isaiah Davis, who has gotten a ton of work with the first-team offense and quarterback Aaron Rodgers during organized team activities this week. Unfortunately for Davis, rookie fourth-rounder Braelon Allen has been one of the biggest standouts during OTAs because of his emergence as a pass-catcher despite his reputation as a bruising power back in college. Davis and Allen have gotten more reps thanks to a minor lower-body injury that has kept starter Breece Hall on the sidelines this offseason. As of right now, both Davis and Allen have pushed 2023 fifth-rounder Israel Abanikanda down the depth chart. Davis' dynasty stock is up, and he could eventually develop into a short-yardage option for the Jets.

Dynasty | The New York Jets drafted running back Isaiah Davis in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Dynasty Analysis: Davis has an uphill climb to a roster spot with the New York Jets after being taken in the fifth round. The Jets already have Breece Hall as their starter and also took Braelon Allen to shore up their backfield. Still, he has a chance and could surprise as a late-round small school prospect. While he may need to beat out Allen to earn a spot on the team, Davis should still be kept on watch lists for the time being.
