No Playoff Match Up |
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Johnny Wilson will go on the road to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4. The rookie caught the first reception of his young career last week, but did nothing of note past that and even committed a costly penalty. However, with DeVonta Smith (concussion) out this week and no guarantee that A.J. Brown (hamstring) will make his return after being labeled as questionable, Wilson should see an increase in usage. His snap percentage has gone up slowly each week, and Wilson should easily clear the 33% of snaps that he played last weekend. Anyone outside of Smith and Brown have done little to nothing for the Eagles through three weeks, but there is no real choice for quarterback Jalen Hurts and the Eagles coaching staff if those two options are not available. The 23-year-old should be considered on the flex borderline in deep leagues if Brown sits and is closer to a WR4/5 if Brown is active.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Johnny Wilson caught one of two targets for a gain of nine yards during the team's 15-12 win over the New Orleans Saints. The rookie saw his snap share rise this week with A.J. Brown (hamstring) out for the second consecutive week and DeVonta Smith (concussion) exiting early in this game. Wilson did little with his targets and had a penalty called on him that stalled a drive but could see his usage increase in Week 3 if the star receivers sit out against Tampa Bay. Offseason acquisition Jahan Dotson has done nothing to solidify a role and the Eagles will likely stick Wilson outside to allow him to use his long reach to his advantage. He is not a recommended start, but a name to monitor heading into Week 3.

Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Johnny Wilson (hamstring), who was listed as questionable on the team's final Week 2 injury report, is officially active for Monday night's contest against the visiting Atlanta Falcons. In his NFL debut in the Week 1 win over the Green Bay Packers in Brazil, Wilson played only 10 offensive snaps and couldn't haul his only target in the game. The 23-year-old sixth-rounder from Florida State could have a bigger role with A.J. Brown (hamstring) inactive, but it's still unlikely to be big enough for him to make an impact for fantasy managers. DeVonta Smith and tight end Dallas Goedert could be leaned on more by quarterback Jalen Hurt on Monday night, with Jahan Dotson also hoping to have a bigger role in the passing attack after not catching his only target in his Eagles debut last week.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Johnny Wilson (hamstring) is listed as questionable ahead of Monday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Wilson seemed fine all week until he popped up on the injury report on Saturday due to a hamstring issue. The absence of the rookie wideout won't make a huge impact on the Eagles offense. Wilson only played 17 snaps in Week 1 and failed to haul in his lone target. His absence could mean that Parris Campbell gets elevated from the practice squad. However, neither player should be considered a viable fantasy option heading into Week 2.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Johnny Wilson (concussion) is back on the practice field on Sunday. This is good news considering Wilson has been sidelined since mid-August while in concussion protocol. The 23-year-old was forced to miss both practices and preseason games due to this injury. Despite that, Wilson should be ready in time to play in the season opener against the Green Bay Packers. The sixth-round pick looks like he could be a solid red zone target, but he doesn't have much fantasy value out of the gate. The Eagles are fairly loaded at wide receiver, so it would take an injury or two for Wilson to see significant looks on this offense.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Johnny Wilson (concussion) was held out of practice again on Thursday and remains in the league's concussion protocol. Wilson suffered the concussion on Aug. 13 during joint practices with the New England Patriots and has yet to be allowed to return to practice. It is still being determined whether or not he will be cleared ahead of the Eagles home opener against the Green Bay Packers next Friday night. He's currently the fourth wideout on the team's depth chart behind A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and newly acquired Jahan Dotson. The sixth-round rookie never recorded more than 43 receptions or 897 yards during any of his collegiate seasons, nor does he project to get much playing time this season in a deep Philadelphia wide receiver corps. However, at 6-foot-7, Wilson would pose as a formidable red zone threat if he ever cracked the lineup.

Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Johnny Wilson (head) is in the league's concussion protocol after getting injured in a joint practice on Tuesday and not being able to suit up for the preseason game against the New England Patriots on Thursday night. Wilson will be hoping to get cleared in time for the team's final preseason contest on Aug. 24 against the Minnesota Vikings. The 23-year-old sixth-round selection caught one of his three targets for seven yards in the preseason opener last week against the Baltimore Ravens. Injury aside, Wilson is going to have a tough time finding much of a role in Philly in his first NFL season while being behind A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Parris Campbell on the receiving depth chart.
