The Indianapolis Colts and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle DeForest Buckner agreed to a two-year, $46 million contract extension on Monday that ties him to the Colts through the 2026 season, according to sources. The Colts traded the No. 13 overall pick to the San Francisco 49ers in 2020 for Buckner and quickly signed him to a four-year, $84 million extension. The 30-year-old pass-rusher will stick around in Indianapolis for two more years after recording 166 solo tackles, 32.5 sacks, 42 tackles for loss, 87 QB hits, 16 passes defended, six forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown) in 66 regular-season games (62 starts) since the Colts acquired him from San Fran in 2020. He'll remain relevant in IDP fantasy leagues in 2024 despite being an interior defensive lineman.

The Indianapolis Colts are re-signing safety Julian Blackmon to a one-year deal, according to Jordan Schultz on Bleacher Report. The 2020 third-round pick out of Utah has spent his entire four-year career with the Colts and has played in 50 games. He has tallied 214 tackles (163 solo), one sack, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, seven interceptions, 17 passes defended, and 14.5 run stuffs thus far. Blackmon earned a 68.3 PFF grade in 2023, the best of his career.

Free-agent safety Julian Blackmon is visiting with the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, according to sources. Blackmon has several suitors this offseason after enjoying a career season in 2023 with the Indianapolis Colts, which included 88 tackles (65 solo) five tackles for loss, four interceptions, eight passes defended and two fumble recoveries in 15 starts. He finished as the No. 26 defensive back in IDP fantasy leagues in his fourth year in the NFL after the Colts took him in the third round (85th overall) in 2020 out of Utah. The 25-year-old missed the final two games of the year due to a shoulder injury and was a big part of the Colts' defensive success last year. Blackmon is still a candidate to re-sign with the Colts, but he's drawing plenty of interest around the league.

Free-agent safety Julian Blackmon will visit with the Buffalo Bills, according to sources. Blackmon has several suitors in free agency after enjoying a career season in 2023 with the Indianapolis Colts, recording career-highs in tackles (88), solo tackles (65), interceptions (four) and passes defended (eight) while also recovering two fumbles in 15 starts in his fourth year with the team. The 25-year-old was taken in the third round by the Colts in 2020 out of Utah and has contributed 214 tackles (163 solo), one sack, 12 tackles for loss, seven interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), 17 passes defended, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in his 50 games played (46 starts). The Bills already lost Jordan Poyer and are unlikely to re-sign Micah Hyde, so safety is a big need for their defense this offseason.

Former Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Raekwon Davis signed a two-year, $14 million base-value deal with the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, according to his agent, Trevon Smith. After being taken in the second round by Miami in 2020 out of Alabama, Davis has accumulated 129 total tackles (59 solo), only two sacks, five tackles for loss and 10 QB hits in 63 games (48 starts) in four seasons. In all 17 regular-season games in 2023, the 26-year-old interior defensive lineman made seven starts and had 28 tackles (15 solo) and half a sack. Davis figures to be a rotational piece on the interior of Indy's defensive line in 2024 and can be avoided for IDP fantasy purposes.

The Indianapolis Colts re-signed cornerback Kenny Moore to a three-year, $30 million deal on Tuesday that makes him the highest-paid nickel cornerback in the NFL, according to a source. Moore, who was a Pro Bowler for the first and only time in his career in 2021, had 93 total tackles (68 solo), 1.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, three interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) and six passes defended in 16 starts in 2023 in his seventh season with Indianapolis. It was a rebound from a down year in 2022 in which he only played in 12 contests. The 28-year-old corner finished last year as the No. 12 overall defensive back in IDP fantasy leagues and should be in play as a starter at the position in those setups again in 2024.

Mar 11 6:20pm ET

The Indianapolis Colts re-signed defensive tackle Grover Stewart on Monday to a three-year, $39 million deal, according to a source. Stewart played in a career-low 11 games for the Colts in his seventh year with the team in 2023 due to a suspension for performance-enhancing drugs, ultimately finishing with 41 tackles (23 solo), half a sack, five tackles for loss and eight QB hits. The 30-year-old had career-highs in total tackles (70) and sacks (four) in 2022, though, and he remained pretty productive in his 11 starts last year after he served his six-game suspension. The former fourth-round selection in 2017 out of Albany State isn't much of an IDP fantasy option with only nine career sacks, but he's a steady force on the interior of Indy's defensive line with 280 career combined tackles in 107 games played.

Indianapolis Colts LB Zaire Franklin agreed to a three-year, $31.26 million extension Monday, March 11.

Fantasy Spin: He may not carry a ton of name value on the surface, but if you're in an IDP league, you know he's a legit LB1. He had an astounding 179 total tackles last season and was ranked No. 7 at the LB position despite missing a game.

Given the fact that the Indianapolis Colts' secondary was repeatedly torched last year due to its inexperience and injuries in the cornerback room, The Athletic's James Boyd suggests that it wouldn't be a surprise if the team addressed that issue with the No. 15 overall pick in the first round of this year's NFL draft. Kenny Moore II, the team's most experienced cornerback, is scheduled to become a free agent in March, and even if they re-sign the 28-year-old, there are no other proven options at the position on the roster. Last year's second-rounder, JuJu Brents, showed promise, but injuries limited him to nine games as a rookie. If the Colts decide to use their early draft picks on another position, they will need to address the cornerback position through free agency.
