Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns (ankle) will participate in individual drills during minicamp this week.

Jun 11 1:00pm ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal said that wide receiver Allen Hurns (ankle, leg) ran routes against air last week and is moving to individual drills at minicamp on Tuesday. Hurns suffered a devastating leg injury in the playoffs last year. He was a disappointment to say the least in his first year in Dallas over a full season, catching just 20 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns. With the addition of Randall Cobb as a free agent in the offseason behind Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, Hurns won't have much of a role in the passing game unless an injury occurs ahead of him in 2019.

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns (ankle) was able to run some routes during practice Tuesday, June 4, according to wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal.

May 27 7:00pm ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Allen Hurns (ankle, leg) is expected to return at some point in training camp after suffering a gruesome lower leg injury in the playoffs last season. He continues to rehab a dislocated left ankle and fractured left fibula, and the Cowboys will give him a chance to win a starting job behind Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and Randall Cobb. The 27-year-old caught just 20 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns in his first season with Dallas, though, and he won't be on many fantasy owners' radars going into drafts this fall. The Cowboys can save $5 million in salary cap space if they release Hurns, so he's not guaranteed to stick with them.

May 26 5:13pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns (ankle, leg) should return to the practice field at some point during training camp. Head coach Jason Garrett said Hurns has made good progress in his rehab.

May 25 12:10pm ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Allen Hurns (ankle) will not take part in organized team activities. Also sitting out are defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (shoulder), wide receiver Tavon Austin and linebacker Leighton Vander Esch (pelvis). Hurns, 27, was a disappointment in his first year in Dallas, catching only 20 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games. With Randall Cobb now in the fold alongside Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, Hurns is even less appealing in deep fantasy leagues.

From RotoBaller

May 24 7:53pm ET

Dallas Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence (shoulder), CB Byron Jones (hip), DE Christian Covington (calf), DE Taco Charlton (ankle, shoulder) and WR Allen Hurns (ankle) will not participate in the offseason workouts because of injuries.

Mar 8 2:23pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns, OL Joe Looney and LB Joe X. Thomas had their 2019 options exercised Friday, March 8.

Feb 26 3:13pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns could take over as the slot receiver if impending free-agent WR Cole Beasley is not re-signed. Jones iterated that the Cowboys would like to retain Beasley.

Fantasy Spin: The entirety of the Dallas receiving corps last season was essentially Amari Cooper and a little bit of Michael Gallup. Hurns and Beasley disappointed, but Hurns in particular would make for a late-round flier if Beasley leaves.

Jan 9 12:23am ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list on Tuesday, Jan. 8. In a corresponding move, WR Lance Lenoir was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.

Jan 6 12:00pm ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Allen Hurns (ankle) suffered a gruesome dislocated ankle in the wild-card victory over the Seahawks on Saturday and underwent surgery on Saturday, according to a source. Hurns is expected to be ready to return to football by August, barring any setbacks or complications. The injury was difficult to watch and Hurns was in an extreme amount of pain, but the good news is he should be ready for next season. The 27-year-old had just 20 catches (35 targets) for 295 yards and two touchdowns in his first year in Dallas and won't be on the fantasy radar heading into 2019 with Michael Gallup's role increasing going into his second year.
