2024 RTSports Outlook

Jones landed with the Bucs last year but was not much of a factor, serving as the No. 4 receiver most weeks. He actually had his best game of the season in the playoffs, catching seven passes fro 74 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets. He had just 24 receptions for 299 yards and two scores during the regular season. He has really declined in recent years and at age 34, you have to wonder if he will even find a job this year. Jones is a big target with size and strength. Jones is a physical receiver that runs solid routes and has plus hands. He doesn't have top-end speed, especially at this stage of his career. Fantasy Outlook:   Jones is trending the wrong way. He isn't worth the risk after the last three seasons.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Julio Jones (concussion) posted three receptions for 22 yards on three targets in the NFC Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before exiting with a concussion.

From TheHuddle

Jan 15 10:20pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones (concussion) was diagnosed with a concussion following a hard hit in the second quarter of Monday night's wild-card playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has been ruled out for the rest of the game. Before taking the hard shot that left him concussed, the 34-year-old veteran caught three passes for just 22 yards. The Eagles are also without top receiver A.J. Brown (knee), so DeVonta Smith, who leads the team with four catches for 100 yards, and tight end Dallas Goedert (three catches for 11 yards and a touchdown) should continue to be a big part of Philly's passing game as they look to come from behind to beat the Bucs. Quez Watkins could also get more involved through the air in the second half. If the Eagles come back and win this game, Jones could be unavailable for the Divisional Round in Detroit against the Lions.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Julio Jones (head) left the Wild Card playoff game early and is being evaluated for a concussion.

From TheHuddle

Jan 13 1:10pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones should see an uptick in targets in Monday's Wild Card playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Star wideout A.J. Brown (knee) has been ruled out so the Eagles will need the veteran Jones to step up. The Philadelphia passing game will still heavily revolve around DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert but Jones could be a sneaky DFS play with the aforementioned players commanding the most defensive attention. On the year, Jones has an extremely modest 11 catches (19 targets) for 74 yards and three touchdowns over 11 games. He did haul in two touchdowns on two catches back in Week 16 so he could still be a solid red zone target for QB Jalen Hurts. Quez Watkins should also see some more looks but will likely cost a bit more than Jones in DFS lineups.

Jan 8 6:40pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones caught two of his four targets for 13 yards in the 27-10 upset loss to the New York Giants on Sunday in the Week 18 regular season finale. Philly's offense looked really bad to close out the regular season in a game in which both quarterback Jalen Hurts (finger) and receiver A.J. Brown (knee) were injured. DeVonta Smith (ankle) was inactive, so the Eagles are now rolling into Monday's wild-card contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with questions surrounding their top two receivers. The 34-year-old Jones joined the Eagles midseason and played in 11 games, never catching more than two passes or going for more than 34 receiving yards in a single game. Depending on the health of Brown and Smith for the start of the postseason this weekend, Jones could be looking at an increased role, which could make him worth a look in DFS as a low-cost sleeper.

From RotoBaller

Jan 5 9:10pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones will face off against the Giants in New York in Week 18. The veteran receiver has not had a huge role since signing with the Eagles earlier this season, but he scored twice last week against Arizona and could now see his role increase in the regular season finale. DeVonta Smith (ankle) has already been ruled out for Sunday, leaving Jones the clear top option to take over as the No. 2 receiver. Quez Watkins has played the slot role for the majority of the year, while Olamide Zaccheaus has been moved all over the formation. While fantasy managers can not count on Smith-levels of production from the future hall of famer, they can view Jones as a cheap dart throw with high upside in daily fantasy formats after he scored twice last weekend.

From RotoBaller

Dec 31 6:30pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones caught both of his targets for 34 yards and two touchdowns during the team's 35-31 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The veteran has barely been involved since joining Philadelphia but was able to capitalize on both of his targets this week and find the end zone multiple times. He led the Eagles receivers in fantasy points this week and will be on the flex radar for those playing next week, with DeVonta Smith (foot) spotted in a walking boot and on crutches after the game. Quez Watkins should also see an increase in usage against the Giants. Consider Jones a boom-or-bust flex option when the Eagles travel to New York next week.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Julio Jones converted his only target for a 6-yard reception in Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks.

From TheHuddle

Dec 8 8:10pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones had been limited in practice this past week due to a groin injury but was left off of the final injury report and will play Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys. The veteran has not done much since joining the Eagles back in Week 7. Jones has failed to record a target in two of six games and has not reached double-digit receiving yards once this year. Olamide Zaccheaus and Quez Watkins will continue to rotate with the future Hall Of Famer as the No. 3 option behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Jones is not a recommended fantasy option in Week 14, especially against a Dallas defense that allows the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers.

From RotoBaller

Dec 8 4:13pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles WR Julio Jones (groin) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 8, but is not on the injury report for Week 14. TE Grant Calcaterra (ankle), DT Fletcher Cox (groin), LB Zach Cunningham (hamstring), CB Darius Slay (knee) and TE Jack Stoll (knee) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 7 5:50pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones (groin) missed his second straight day of practice this week on Thursday. Jones apparently hurt his groin in the Week 13 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers and may need to sit out this upcoming game on Sunday versus the division-rival Dallas Cowboys. The 34-year-old veteran isn't really on the fantasy radar, though, as he's had a pretty small role in the offense since debuting for the Eagles in Week 7. In his six games played with Philly, Jones has five catches on eight targets for just 16 yards and one touchdown. If he is unable to get the green light to play this Sunday, Quez Watkins would be battling for No. 3 duties behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith with Olamide Zaccheaus.

From RotoBaller

Dec 7 5:33pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles WR Julio Jones (groin) and CB Darius Slay (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 7. LB Zach Cunningham (hamstring) was limited during practice. TE Grant Calcaterra (ankle), DT Fletcher Cox (groin) and TE Jack Stoll (knee) fully participated in practice.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 7:50pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones (groin) did not take part in practice with the rest of the team on Wednesday. Jones lost snaps -- he was out there for only 10 snaps -- to Quez Watkins in the Week 13 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers and could be in danger of sitting out this weekend's divisional tilt against the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles had been limiting the 34-year-old veteran in practices with a knee injury, but now he's listed with a groin issue. Even if Jones returns to practice later this week and is active in Week 14, he should be avoided in all starting fantasy lineups, especially with tight end Dallas Goedert (forearm) set to return this Sunday. Jones has only five catches for 16 yards and one touchdown since joining the Eagles in Week 7.

DT Fletcher Cox (groin), LB Zach Cunningham (hamstring) and TE Jack Stoll (knee) were limited during practice. TE Grant Calcaterra (ankle) fully participated in practice. The Eagles did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.

From TheHuddle

Dec 4 10:33pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles WR Julio Jones did not have any targets or offensive statistics in Week 13 against the San Francisco 49ers. He was on the field for just 10 of the team's 72 snaps.

From TheHuddle

Dec 1 4:30pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones (knee) has been removed from the injury report after practicing in a limited capacity on Friday. He will play in Week 13 versus the San Francisco 49ers, though he remains off the fantasy radar given his role as the No. 4 wide receiver in Philadelphia. Look for A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith to lead the receiving corps while Olamide Zaccheaus plays a tertiary role.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 4:13pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles LB Zach Cunningham (hamstring) and S Justin Evans (knee) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 13 versus the San Francisco 49ers. TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) was upgraded to a limited practice on Friday, Dec. 1, and is listed as doubtful. DT Fletcher Cox (groin) did not practice all week but is listed as questionable. TE Grant Calcaterra (ankle) was upgraded to a limited practice on Friday and is also listed as questionable. WR Julio Jones (knee) was limited in practice all week but has been removed from the injury report. WR A.J. Brown (thigh), DT Jordan Davis (hamstring), OT Lane Johnson (groin), WR DeVonta Smith (knee), RB D'Andre Swift (ankle) and DT Milton Williams (concussion) practiced in full and also no longer appear on the injury report.
