Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (concussion) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 18, but has been ruled out for Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: Jeremy Sprinkle will receive another start with Davis still sidelined but should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 18 3:40pm ET

Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) was limited in practice all week but has been ruled out for Week 7 against the 49ers. Davis is recovering from his head injury but just couldn't get cleared in time. With Jordan Reed (concussion) on Injured Reserve, Jeremy Sprinkle will continue to start for the 'Skins. He's an unattractive TE2, though, having caught just four passes for 41 yards in the last two weeks with Davis banged up. You can't really trust any pass-catcher outside of rookie Terry McLaurin in this dysfunctional offense.

Oct 18 3:13pm ET

Washington Redskins S Deshazor Everett (ankle), LB Josh Harvey-Clemons (hamstring), OG Wes Martin (chest) and RB Chris Thompson (toe) were unable to practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers. TE Vernon Davis (concussion) was limited all week and has also been ruled out. CB Josh Norman (thigh, hand) did not practice all week but is listed as questionable. QB Case Keenum (right shoulder, foot) and RB Adrian Peterson (quad) fully participated in practice for a second straight day Friday, Oct. 18, and have been removed from the injury report. OT Donald Penn (non-injury) was not given a practice designation for a second straight day on Friday but also no longer appears on the injury report.

Oct 17 7:53pm ET

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (concussion) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 17.

Fantasy Spin: Davis needs to be cleared by doctors before he will be allowed to play, so he only has a few more days before the Week 7 game. Fantasy players in all leagues should avoid Davis this week even if he is cleared to play.

Oct 17 4:23pm ET

Washington Redskins S Deshazor Everett (ankle), LB Josh Harvey-Clemons (hamstring) OG Wes Martin (chest), CB Josh Norman (thigh, hand) and RB Chris Thompson (toe) were unable to practice for a second straight day Thursday, Oct. 17. OT Donald Penn (non-injury) was not given a practice designation Thursday after being limited one day earlier.

From TheHuddle

Oct 16 5:30pm ET

Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) was limited at practice on Wednesday. Davis has a chance to return this weekend, but he must officially pass through the league's concussion protocol later this week. If the veteran suits up, he'll be a low-end, low-upside TE2 in a tough matchup with the 49ers. Jeremy Sprinkle hasn't taken advantage of Davis' absence the last two games and can be avoided for fantasy purposes. Jordan Reed (concussion) is on Injured Reserve and is unlikely to play this year. His career is in serious jeopardy.

From TheHuddle

Oct 10 7:03pm ET

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (concussion) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 10.

Fantasy Spin: Davis needs to be cleared by the doctors before he is allowed to play again, so fantasy players should monitor the situation. He has a chance to be a low-end No. 1 tight end if he plays because of the favorable matchup.

From TheHuddle

Oct 10 4:43pm ET

From TheHuddle

Oct 10 2:00pm ET

Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) is practicing again on Thursday as he tries to get cleared from the league's concussion protocol. Davis is moving in the right direction but will still likely be questionable to play in Week 6 against the Dolphins. The veteran has caught only 10 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown in four games this year. Even if he's cleared and active on Sunday, he'd be a low-end TE2 against Miami. Jeremy Sprinkle filled in last week with Davis inactive and predictably did nothing with Colt McCoy under center. Jordan Reed (concussion) remains without a timetable to return.

Oct 9 4:43pm ET

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 4, and has been ruled out for Week 5.

From TheHuddle

Oct 4 12:33pm ET

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (concussion) is not practicing Friday, Oct. 4, and remains in the concussion protocol.

Fantasy Spin: If you've been relying on Davis at tight end, it's definitely time to find another option as it looks like he'll miss his first game of the season.

From TheHuddle

Oct 3 5:03pm ET

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (concussion), LB Josh Harvey-Clemons (hamstring), TE Jordan Reed (concussion), OG Brandon Scherff (ankle) and CB Josh Norman (knee) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 3. Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (concussion) missed a second straight day of practice Thursday, Oct. 3, as he deals with a concussion.

Fantasy Spin: Davis still has a chance to clear the protocol and get back on the practice field over the next couple of days, but those who have been relying on him as a desperation measure at tight end should be lining up another Week 5 option if they haven't already.

From TheHuddle

Fantasy Spin: Davis will need to be cleared by doctors before he can play, so he could miss the Week 5 game. Jeremy Sprinkle may receive the start if Davis is ruled out but can be avoided in all leagues.
