Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (quadriceps) practiced in full all week and was removed from the final Week 3 injury report on Friday. St. Brown will be active this Sunday as the team takes on the Arizona Cardinals on the road. There was never much concern about whether the 24-year-old would play this weekend after leaving the Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers temporarily due to a quad contusion and cramping. He bounced back last week with 11 catches on 18 targets for 119 yards after going for three grabs and only 13 receiving yards in the season-opening win over the Los Angeles Rams. Fantasy managers need to keep St. Brown locked into all starting lineups against a Cardinals defense that has surrendered the 10th-most half-PPR fantasy points to opposing wideouts through the first two weeks of the season against the Bills and Rams.

Detroit Lions S Ifeatu Melifonwu (ankle) and CB Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (hamstring) did not practice on Friday, Sept. 20, and were ruled out for Week 3. In addition, LB Alex Anzalone (concussion), CB Terrion Arnold (illness), OG Graham Glasgow (knee) and WR Isaiah Williams (abdomen) were limited and are questionable, and DE Marcus Davenport (groin), S Kerby Joseph (back) and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (quadriceps) practiced in full and carry no designation.

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (quadriceps) was a full participant in practice once again on Friday, Sept. 20, and carries no designation for Week 3.

Fantasy Spin: St. Brown was hobbled last week but managed to log three full practices and is good to go. He's an elite WR1, as always.

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (quadriceps) practiced in full for the second straight day on Thursday, Sept. 19.

Fantasy Spin: St. Brown was never in doubt once he logged a full session to begin the week. He remains one of the best plays at wide receiver in fantasy football.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (quadriceps) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. St. Brown injured his leg during the Lions' Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The injury was never considered serious, and it is great to see that St. Brown should not carry any question marks into the weekend. St. Brown has 14 receptions for 132 yards thus far this season. The Lions' passing offense has struggled to fully get going after an incredible 2023 season. With St. Brown not slated to miss any time, hopefully the passing offense can get back on track this weekend.

Sep 18 4:13pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (quadriceps) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Fantasy Spin: St. Brown suffered the injury during the Week 2 game but seems on track to play this week. He is coming off his first 100-yard game of the season and is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

Sep 16 9:13pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (leg) is dealing with an unspecified lower leg, soft-tissue injury but is expected to be fine, head coach Dan Campbell said on Monday, Sept. 16.

Fantasy Spin: It didn't look good for St. Brown during the game, but it appears he's not dealing with anything serious. St. Brown is one of the toughest players in the NFL and should be viewed as likely to suit up in Week 3. He's a locked-in WR1.

From TheHuddle

Sep 16 6:10pm ET

When Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell was asked about wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown's (lower body) injury, he said, "Lower leg. He'll be good. Soft tissue." It's unclear exactly what kind of injury St. Brown is dealing with, but we'll have a clearer picture on Wednesday, the first day of Week 3 practice. The 24-year-old was forced from action at the end of the Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth quarter. Before the injury, St. Brown bounced back in a big way from his quiet season-opening performance with a 11-119-0 line on 19 targets after catching three passes for 13 yards in Week 1. It sounds like the Lions think he'll have a good shot to play in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals, but we'll know more later this week. When active, St. Brown is a must-start in fantasy after being taken in the first round in most drafts.

Sep 16 9:40am ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (lower body) was seen hobbling for a bit in Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to Adam Schefter, his sources have said that it was initially determined to be a contusion and cramping in his lower body. There hasn't been a specific area reported, but the fact that they seem to be minor injuries is a sigh of relief for everyone involved. The superstar wideout finished Sunday's game with 11 receptions for 119 yards, a big bounce back after just three catches for 13 yards in Week 1. His injury status will be important to monitor as the week goes on to make sure nothing is lingering as the Week 3 contest with the Arizona Cardinals approaches.

From RotoBaller

Sep 16 9:20am ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (lower-body) had a great game on Sunday, catching 11 passes on an astonishing 19 targets for 119 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. St. Brown was only targeted six times last week, catching three passes for 13 yards. He bounced back after a disappointing performance in Week 1 with a significant increase in targets and overall production. He did exit Sunday's game early with what's being called a "lower body" injury. According to head coach Dan Campbell, the 24-year-old's injury isn't believed to be serious. St. Brown is day-to-day, and fantasy managers should continue to monitor Detroit's injury report ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

From RotoBaller

Sep 15 9:43pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (lower body) registered 11 receptions for a game-high 119 yards on a whopping 19 targets in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he left the game briefly due to a lower-body injury. He returned to the game, including a key catch in the fourth quarter, but he aggravated the injury, limped off the field. St. Brown was limping after exiting the locker room after the game, too. 'He's all right,' head coach Dan Campbell said Sunday, Sept. 15. 'I don't think it's anything long-term, so that's good news.'

Fantasy Spin: St. Brown had an ugly Week 1 performance, so this type of stat line is what fantasy managers have come to expect. Hopefully he isn't too nicked up, and able to play in a duel in the desert in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals. We'll monitor the practice reports during the week to keep you abreast of the situation.

Sep 15 6:30pm ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (undisclosed) was injured late in the Week 2 loss to the Buccaneers. There hasn't been much information released about the ailment. While head coach Dan Campbell doesn't think it is serious, St. Brown is believed to have sustained a "lower-body injury." Without question, fantasy managers will anxiously await an update. But if the wideout isn't available in Week 3 against the Cardinals, Jameson Williams, Kalif Raymond, and Sam LaPorta would presumably see an uptick in attention from Jared Goff.

From RotoBaller

Sep 15 5:00pm ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (undisclosed) is not believed to have a serious injury. St. Brown was injured in the fourth quarter of the Lions' Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The injury visibly hampered St. Brown at the end of the game and eventually forced him off the field. St. Brown had a monster day prior to the injury. He recorded 11 receptions for 119 yards. If St. Brown is forced to miss any time, then wide receiver Jameson Williams, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, and tight end Sam LaPorta would all see increased target shares. For now, fantasy managers can only wait for news on initial testing and practice participation as we head into Week 3.

Lions' WR Amon-Ra St. Brown had 11 receptions for 119 yards but no touchdowns in Sunday's loss against the Buccaneers.

Sep 14 10:40am ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown had a disappointing Week 1 performance. The Lions star receiver will look to bounce back against the Tampa Buccaneers in Week 2. St. Brown had three catches on six targets for only 13 yards. Most of the air yards went to Jameson Williams, who led the team in targets, catches, yards, and receiving touchdowns. St. Brown is still, without a doubt, the team's first option, but the USC product will see a more challenging matchup in Tampa Bay's defense. He should definitely see improvement from his season opener, as St. Brown has had a better Week 2 than Week 1 in every season of his career. He also had 12 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 last year against the Buccaneers. As always, St. Brown is a must-start in all fantasy leagues.

Dynasty | Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown had three catches for 13 yards in the Lions win against the Rams. Dynasty Analysis: It's just one week but it's also clear Jameson Williams is going to get more targets than last season. Still, this is likely going to be St. Brown's worst game and anyone who is getting anxious probably doesn't have the stomach for fantasy football. Stay the course. Things will get better. St. Brown is still a top-five option each week.

Sep 9 2:10pm ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown had a disappointing outing in Week 1's 26-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams. St. Brown was targeted six times, catching only three passes for 13 yards. Second-year receiver Jameson Williams was the star of the Lions offense last night, catching five passes on nine targets for 121 yards and a touchdown. St. Brown is still the most proven player on the Detroit offense, and fantasy managers have nothing to worry about as he will look to rebound in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

From RotoBaller

Sep 9 12:43am ET

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown hauled in only three of his six targets for 13 yards in Week 1 versus the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Spin: The performance goes down as St. Brown's worst in fantasy since he caught one pass for four yards early in the 2022 season. While the early conclusion would be that someone will suffer occasionally if this is the year Jameson Williams realizes his full potential, Jared Goff only threw 28 times. The Rams also took steps to limit his impact on the game. St. Brown should still be considered a strong WR1 option in Week 2 against the beat-up secondary of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

From TheHuddle

Sep 7 10:20pm ET

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown gets a superb matchup Sunday evening when the team squares off against the Los Angeles Rams. Expect St. Brown to eat against an LA secondary ranked worst in the league last season regarding their coverage, as per PFF. While the Rams prioritized their defensive backfield in the offseason, fantasy managers should have no fears slotting him into their lineups. The fourth-year superstar wideout is the engine that drives Detroit's offense, and quarterback Jared Goff's targets are distinctly funneled to him and sophomore tight end Sam LaPorta. The two combined for 284 targets (164/120) in 2023, while the next-highest Lions receiver saw just 71. It is possible -- with all the training camp hype he received -- that WR Jameson Williams will garner a more significant target share in 2024. However, St. Brown is in a pristine role and unlikely to lose his WR1 status. He's RotoBaller's second overall option at WR in Week 1 rankings.
