Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Chase Edmonds (knee) will go on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Aug. 27, with a season-ending knee injury.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Chase Edmonds (undisclosed) is being placed on the season-ending Injured Reserve on Monday. Meanwhile, wide receiver Rakim Jarrett (undisclosed) will go on IR-designated to return and will be eligible to come back after missing the first four games of the season. Edmonds will miss all of 2024 after missing all of training camp and the preseason with an undisclosed injury. It means that the Bucs will now ask Bucky Irving, Sean Tucker and DJ Williams to step up as depth options in the backfield behind starter Rachaad White. The 28-year-old former fourth-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2018 out of Fordham saw only 49 carries for 176 yards (3.6 yards per carry) in his first year with the Bucs in 2023, adding 14 receptions for 81 yards in 13 games. The rookie Irving is the favorite for the RB2 role now that Edmonds' season is over.

According to Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles, running back Chase Edmonds (undisclosed) is expected to begin the season on the injured reserve list. No surprise here, considering the veteran back has been battling an unspecified ailment throughout training camp. Of course, the No. 1 spot on the depth chart is held by Rachaad White, who narrowly missed the 1,000-yard rushing mark in 2023-24. As a result, Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker will be looking for scraps, although neither player should be viewed as anything more than an insurance policy.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Chase Edmonds (undisclosed) and WR Rakim Jarrett (undisclosed) will both begin the regular season on the Reserve/Injured list, according to head coach Todd Bowles.
From TheHuddle
Greg Auman of Fox Sports believes running back Chase Edmonds (undisclosed) is one of the bigger names on the roster bubble for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this summer. Edmonds hasn't been able to practice or play for weeks in training camp because of an undisclosed injury. Lead back Rachaad White, rookie fourth-rounder Bucky Irving, and Sean Tucker seem to be locks now for Tampa Bay's 53-man roster, and the question is whether the team keeps Edmonds as a fourth back. The 28-year-old veteran receiving back bottomed out in 2023 with the Bucs, rushing for just 3.6 yards per carry over 49 attempts and catching only 14 passes in 13 appearances, so Edmonds might need a change of scenery for any real shot at fantasy relevance in 2024.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Chase Edmonds (undisclosed) remains sidelined and is nearing two weeks out. After a lackluster performance last year and an offseason marked by injuries, Edmonds' spot on the team is uncertain. He has been struggling with this injury since the early days of training camp and was expected to compete with rookie Bucky Irving and others for backup roles behind starting running back Rachaad White. Edmonds' productivity plummeted last season, as he managed only 176 rushing yards on 49 carries, putting him firmly on the roster bubble. On the plus side, Edmonds and White were the only running backs to see offensive snaps for Tampa Bay over the last ten weeks of the season, including the playoffs. While the backup role for any Tampa Bay running back may not be valuable in fantasy, Rachaad White managers must monitor the situation.
