Player Notes
Feb 24 10:53pm ET

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen finished the 2018 season with 113 catches and 1,373 yards, becoming just the third undrafted player with at least 100 receptions and 1,300 yards in a season.

Fantasy Spin: Although Thielen cooled after an incredible start to the year, he was still able to deliver a career year and establish himself as a WR1.

Feb 20 12:30pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen's agent, Blake Baratz, thinks his client and two-time Pro Bowler could reach an extension with the team this offseason. Thielen signed a four-year deal worth $19.246 million in 2017 that will pay him around $8 million in 2019. He has outplayed his contract after setting career highs in catches (113), yards (1,373) and touchdowns (nine). Thielen just keeps improving season after season and has become a strong WR2 in point-per-reception leagues. It helps that he'll be working with quarterback Kirk Cousins again in 2019.

Feb 20 1:03am ET

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen's agent recently expressed optimism that his client and the team are committed to hammering out an adjusted contract that will make Thielen one of the more highly paid receivers in the league. Thielen is about to enter the third season of a four-year, $19.246 million base deal.

Dec 31 11:40am ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen was not able to do much of anything versus the Chicago Bears in Week 17. Thielen caught three of his four targets for 38 yards and was unable to find the end zone. He finished the season with 113 receptions, 1,373 yards, and nine touchdowns. All of those are career highs for Thielen and he has a great chance to repeat himself in 2019.

Dec 24 11:30am ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen had a solid day, snagging 5-of-6 targets for 80 yards in the Week 16 win over the Detroit Lions. Thielen benefited from shutdown-cornerback Darius Slay shadowing Stefon Diggs all afternoon, but it was tight end Kyle Rudolph who got the majority of the targets and receiving work in the must-win game for the Vikings. Though he has been held under 100 receiving yards in five of his last six contests, he is still averaging a ridiculous 94 receiving yards per game in 2018. Thielen faces off against the Chicago Bears in Week 17, and he should be viewed as an upper-tier WR2 in that crucial matchup.

From RotoBaller

Dec 23 6:13pm ET

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen managed five receptions for 80 yards on six targets in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Spin: Thielen posted eight 100-yard games over the first eight outings, but he has just one triple-digit yardage game over the past seven contests and he has a season-high three straight without a score. He picked a tough time for his worst stretch of the season for fantasy owners.

Dec 16 10:03pm ET

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen posted two grabs for a season-low 19 yards in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Spin: Thielen opened the season with eight straight 100-yard games, but he has just one over the past six outings. He has also been held out of the end zone in back-to-back outings for the first time this season. Marginal performances are coming at an inopportune time for Thielen's fantasy owners. He'll look to rebound in Week 16 in Detroit.

Dec 16 4:30pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen hauled in two receptions for 19 yards during a blowout 41-17 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 15. Thielen was only targeted twice in the game, by far his lowest figure of the season. Thielen has been one of the top fantasy players throughout the entire campaign, but this performance was miserable. He now has under 30 receiving yards in three of his past six games. Thielen still has 105 receptions on the season to go along with 1255 yards and nine touchdowns. With that in mind, his recent inconsistency makes him a low-end WR1 for a Week 16 matchup with the Detroit Lions.

Dec 14 4:43pm ET

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 14, and is not on the injury report for Week 15.

Fantasy Spin: Thielen has cooled off a bit since his historic start to the season but has still posted at least 65 yards in three of the last four games. He can be considered a No. 2 receiver in all leagues this week.

Dec 13 3:43pm ET

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) put in a full practice Thursday, Dec. 13.

Fantasy Spin: Thielen will be good to go in his quest to rebound from last week's poor outing. He's an automatic start anyway, but he'll have higher upside if Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard is ruled out.

Dec 13 3:30pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen had 70 yards on five receptions in Week 14 against the Seattle Seahawks. It was Thielen's worst fantasy performance of the season, which speaks to how good he has been. The 28-year-old wideout has had a ridiculously high floor throughout the campaign, and he should be back to his elite ways against the Miami Dolphins in Week 15. The Dolphins will likely be without starting cornerback Xavien Howard (knee) for the game, which will help open up Thielen across the middle. Their pass defense sits 25th in the league. Thielen should be able to take advantage of a solid matchup and can be started as a mid-tier WR1.

Dec 12 5:43pm ET

Minnesota Vikings WR Chad Beebe (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 12. LB Eric Kendricks (ribs), TE David Morgan (knee), OT Brian O'Neill (ankle) OG Mike Remmers (back), DT Sheldon Richardson (hip) and CB Trae Waynes (concussion) were listed as a limited participants. DT Jaleel Johnson (calf), CB Xavier Rhodes (hip) and WR Adam Thielen (ankle) practiced in full.

Dec 12 5:43pm ET

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) was able to take part in a full practice session Friday, Dec. 12.

Fantasy Spin: Thielen, who left Monday's game in Seattle, but was able to return, is likely to be ready for Week 15. However, check back Friday for his official injury designation before finalizing your fantasy lineup.

Dec 11 12:50pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen hauled in five passes for 70 yards during a 21-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night. Thielen also ran the ball once for eight yards. The 28-year-old wideout has been held under 70 yards in four of his past five games. The Vikings' passing offense has been miserable lately, but perhaps the firing of offensive coordinator John DeFilippo is a step in the right direction. Thielen faces off with the Miami Dolphins in Week 15, who have been vulnerable through the air over the past few games. Thielen is a low-end WR1 for that contest.

Dec 10 11:23pm ET

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) returned to the Week 14 game against the Seattle Seahawks and he finished with five grabs for 70 yards on seven targets.

Fantasy Spin: Most of his production came in garbage time late in the game, but fantasy owners don't care where it comes from. A near disastrous night ended up not being as bad with his late stats and the fact he returned from injury. He'll look to keep up the good work against the Miami Dolphins in Week 15.

Dec 10 10:53pm ET

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) left the Week 14 game against the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth quarter due to an ankle injury. He had one catch for eight yards on eight targets before departing.

Fantasy Spin: Thielen was able to record his 100th reception of the season, but that's about all that went right for Thielen and his fantasy owners.

Dec 6 3:00pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen continues to be a reliable source of production for fantasy owners. Despite only having 28 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 13, he salvaged the day with a touchdown catch. Thielen has scored a touchdown in nine of 12 games this season. In Week 14, he takes on a Seattle Seahawks secondary that has been victimized by opposing receivers as of late. In each of their past five games, at least one receiver has gone over 89 receiving yards on the day. Thielen's worst fantasy week in standard leagues this season was still 8.60 points. He remains a high-floor WR1 for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

From RotoBaller

Dec 2 10:23pm ET

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen registered five catches for 28 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Week 13 against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Spin: Thielen was held mostly in check, and the Patriots have a penchant of taking out the most dangerous offensive weapon while forcing others to step up and beat them. Fantasy owners weren't completely blanked as he posted the team's only score. Next up is a trip to Seattle in Week 14 on Monday night.

Dec 2 9:40pm ET

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen hauled in just 5-of-10 targets for 28 yards in Week 13 against the New England Patriots, though he did save his fantasy day with a five-yard touchdown at the end of the first half. He, along with the Vikings offense as a whole, just seemed out-of-sync all afternoon. Even with this subpar outing, Thielen is easily entrenched in WR1 territory for the remainder of the fantasy season thanks to his elite usage, yardage, and touchdown-rate.

From RotoBaller

Nov 30 4:53pm ET

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (calf) practiced in full on Friday, Nov. 30 and he has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 13 game with the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Spin: Thielen has tailed off slightly after his run of triple-digit yardage games, but he obviously remains a must-start fantasy option as long as he is healthy. Even when his numbers are rather mediocre he still has a high volume of catches and he sniffs out the end zone, too.
