Gaskin played just four games last season. He fell down the depth chart and also battled injury issues. He finished with just 54 total yards. Gaskin will look to earn a bigger role this season, but nothing is certain. Gaskin had 800-plus total yards two straight seasons before last year. Gaskin is a shifty back with plus hands. He runs best on the outside but is an improved inside runner. Gaskin lacks a little power, making few plays after contact throughout his career.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Gaskin took another step backwards last year, which is a concern. He is not draft material but might be worth monitoring on the waiver wire if he starts to get some work. He can have some fantasy value because he can catch the ball. He could get around 300 total yards, 15 receptions and a score or two.

The Minnesota Vikings placed linebacker Jordan Hicks (shin) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday. In other moves, the team signed running back Myles Gaskin to the practice squad and released defensive lineman Michael Dogbe from the practice squad. Hicks will now have to miss at least the next four games after needing emergency surgery to address compartment syndrome after suffering a shin injury in the Week 10 win over the New Orleans Saints. With the 31-year-old out for the foreseeable future, either Troy Dye or the recently signed Anthony Barr will take over for Hicks in the middle of the Vikings' defense. Hicks has been a top-10 linebacker in fantasy IDP leagues through 10 weeks, totaling 87 tackles (50 solo), a sack, four tackles for loss, an interception, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries (one returned for a TD), so it's a big loss for Minnesota.
