Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring) is officially inactive for Week 6. His absence should give the rest of the Kansas City offense more opportunities. In a likely shootout against the Houston Texans, Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson are flex plays while Tyreek Hill is back and ready to resume his WR1 role.

From RotoBaller

Oct 13 11:33am ET

The Kansas City Chiefs have declared OT Andrew Wylie, DL Chris D. Jones, LB Dorian O'Daniel, LB Anthony Hitchens, WR Sammy Watkins, OT Eric Fisher and OT Greg Senat inactive for Week 6.

From TheHuddle

Oct 13 10:43am ET

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) will not play in Week 6's game against the Houston Texans, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Watkins had been listed as doubtful on the injury report due to a strained hamstring and was unable to practice at all during the week. WRs Tyreek Hill, Demarcus Robinson, Mecole Hardman and Byron Pringle could see more targets this week due to his absence.

From TheHuddle

Oct 13 5:50am ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring) is doubtful for the Week 6 encounter against the Texans. Watkins has been dealing with the ailment, so his designation for Sunday's tilt isn't much of a surprise. With Tyreek Hill (shoulder) potentially returning, look for him to be involved in some capacity along with Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson getting some extra attention from Patrick Mahomes against Houston.

From RotoBaller

Oct 11 5:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs OT Eric Fisher (groin), DT Chris Jones (groin) and LB Dorian O'Daniel (hamstring) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 6 versus the Houston Texans. WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) also did not practice all week, while OG Andrew Wylie (ankle) did not practice Friday, Oct. 11; both players are listed as doubtful. WR Tyreek Hill (shoulder) was downgraded to a limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable. LB Anthony Hitchens (groin) remained a limited participant in practice Friday but was taken off the injury report. OT Cameron Erving (knee), DE Alex Okafor (hip), FB Anthony Sherman (shoulder), QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) and RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) were full participants in practice Friday and also no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 11 2:53pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) was unable to practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Week 6 against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Spin: With Tyreek Hill expected to be a game-time decision and Watkins likely out, Demarcus Robinson, Mecole Hardman and Byron Pringle could serve as the Chiefs' top three receivers this weekend. The bigger question is if Patrick Mahomes can avoid another ankle injury, as things went south fast in Week 5 once he got hurt. With a healthy Mahomes, Robinson, Hardman and Pringle can all be considered high-upside WR3s this weekend.

From TheHuddle

Oct 11 2:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring) will be listed as doubtful for Week 6 against the Texans. Watkins was active last Sunday night but injured his hamstring early and never returned. Keep him locked to your bench this weekend. Tyreek Hill (shoulder) is nearing a return against Houston and would need to be reinserted into all lineups if he's active in what should be a high-scoring contest. If Hill plays, it'll be Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson still worthy of flex plays. If both Hill and Watkins are out, Byron Pringle would also be worth flex consideration in deeper leagues in three-wide sets.

From RotoBaller

Oct 11 2:10pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Houston Texans. Watkins didn't play last week and missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday this week. It sounds like Watkins could be sidelined another game. Tyreek Hill (shoulder) could be back for the game this week, so that'll hurt Watkins' value. He does have an excellent matchup against the Texans Defense. Watkins can be used as a WR3, assuming Hill plays. Otherwise, Watkins should have more value without Hill, but it's unclear which receivers are going to be healthy in KC on Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Oct 10 5:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) didn't participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 10.

Fantasy Spin: Watkins left the Week 5 game after just getting on the field for just two snaps. With Tyreek Hill (shoulder) nearing a return, Watkins' fantasy window is closing, as he hasn't topped 64 yards or found the end zone since Week 1.

From TheHuddle

Oct 10 1:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) remained out of practice Thursday, Oct. 10, for the second straight day.

Fantasy Spin: Watkins has only caught 14 passes for 167 yards and no TDs since his 9-198-3 explosion in Week 1, and combining that with his health and the number of other WR options K.C. has, including (possibly) the return of Tyreek Hill this week, you're looking for other fantasy wideout options this week.

From TheHuddle

Oct 10 1:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring) missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday. Watkins was injured early in last Sunday night's loss to the Colts and never returned, and now he's in serious danger of missing Week 6 against the Texans. The good news for the Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes is that Tyreek Hill (shoulder) could make his return this Sunday. If that's the case and Watkins sits, Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson should remain in three-receiver sets and maintain flex appeal. But if you own Watkins, it's looking like you'll be without him in Week 6. If both Watkins and Hill aren't active, all three of Hardman, Robinson and Byron Pringle will be in play for fantasy owners in an expected shootout with the Texans.

From RotoBaller

Oct 9 1:30pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring) is not practicing on Wednesday. Watkins was active on Sunday night in Week 5 but was hurt early on and never returned. He's looking unlikely to suit up in Week 6 against the Texans, so make sure you have other options. His window to take advantage of Tyreek Hill's (collarbone) absence is closing as well. Hill has a good chance to return this weekend, where he'll immediately return to WR1 value. If Hill returns and Watkins is out, Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson will continue to have flex appeal, although Byron Pringle's emergence last week puts a slight damper on that.

From RotoBaller

Oct 9 1:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) is out of practice Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Fantasy Spin: There is still time, but odds are Watkins won't play this week. Byron Pringle broke out with a 6-103-1 week, but Tyreek Hill (shoulder) is getting close to returning. Pringle would be a flex option against the Houston Texans.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 10:00pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins is questionable to take the field during the second half of Sundays game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a hamstring ailment. Injuries limited him throughout the week and left his status up in the air before kickoff. Despite being ruled active, Watkins did not record a reception in the first half as quarterback Patrick Mahomes dished the ball to other targets. Watkins remains in prime fantasy position with Tyreek Hill sidelined, but Watkins' own bad luck on the injury front has kept him from replicating his dynamic Week 1 performance. After Sunday, Kansas City is tasked with playing two additional games over the next 11 days.

From RotoBaller

Oct 6 9:03pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) left the Week 5 game against the Indianapolis Colts in the first quarter due to a hamstring injury and he is questionable to return.

Fantasy Spin: Watkins was banged up entering the game, and he has been brittle throughout his career, so it's not a shock. Mecole Hardman, Demarcus Robinson and Byron Pringle will work to fill the void.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 7:13pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (shoulder) is active for the Week 5 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Spin: Watkins has been nursing a shoulder injury, but he is good to go. Watkins, Demarcus Robinson and Mecole Hardman will be the top three wideout targets for Patrick Mahomes, with Watkins perhaps the best of the fantasy options if he is 100 percent healthy.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 8:33am ET

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (shoulder) is expected to play in Week 5's game against the Indianapolis Colts, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Watkins had been listed as questionable on the injury report after logging two full practice sessions and one limited session during the week. He should receive a decent number of targets this week and is worthy of consideration as a WR3 in most fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 4:30am ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins (shoulder) is expected to play on Sunday night against the Colts. After accumulating 198 yards and three touchdowns against the Jaguars in Week 1, the 26-year-old hasn't been as effective, combining for just 14 receptions and 167 yards over the last three weeks. Watkins still has a place in lineups for the most part, but time is running out for fantasy managers to get the most out of the veteran before Tyreek Hill (shoulder) returns within the next week or so.

From RotoBaller

Oct 4 7:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring, shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Colts. Watkins was a limited participant in practice on Friday, so that's not a good sign for his fantasy value. Watkins had an impressive Week 1 performance, but has not been able to live up to that again. He caught three passes for 54 yards in the victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 4. Watkins has the upside of a WR1, but he's playing like a WR3 right now. He's a shaky WR2 or strong WR3 option, assuming he plays on Sunday.

From RotoBaller

Oct 4 7:33pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 4, and is listed as questionable for Week 5.

Fantasy Spin: Watkins should be able to play this week, but fantasy players can check the inactive list to make sure. Watkins should receive a solid amount of targets and can be at least a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.
