The New York Jets re-signed safety Ashtyn Davis to an undisclosed deal on Thursday, according to a source. The 2020 third-round pick by the Jets in 2020 out of California was drawing interest from a few teams on the free-agent market after posting a career-high three interceptions in 17 games last year but he wanted another year with head coach Robert Saleh and defensive coordinator Jeff Ullbrich. The 27-year-old will return to a reserve role in New York's secondary in 2024 and will also be involved on special teams. In addition to his career-high three picks in 2023, Davis had 37 tackles (23 solo), eight passes defended and a career-high three fumble recoveries. Davis won't be on the IDP fantasy radar.

The New York Jets re-signed defensive end Jalyn Holmes to an undisclosed deal on Wednesday. The Minnesota Vikings originally took Holmes with their fourth-round selection (102nd overall) in 2018 out of Ohio State. He spent the first three years of his career in Minnesota before one-year stops with the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears and Jets each of the last three seasons. In just five games in New York in 2023, the 28-year-old pass-rusher had five tackles (three solo) and one sack. Holmes' first defensive snaps for the Jets last year didn't come until the regular season finale. He will be competing for a depth role once again on the team's defensive line in training camp this summer.

The Philadelphia Eagles are moving LB Haason Reddick's $1 million roster bonus, originally due March 15, to April 1, source said Monday, March 18. It is believed that the move gives the organization time for a potential trade before having to pay the bonus.

The New York Jets are bringing back veteran safety Chuck Clark (knee) on a one-year deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Clark suffered a torn ACL during last year's organized team activities, causing him to miss the entire 2023 season. The 28-year-old was a sixth-round selection in the 2017 draft by the Baltimore Ravens, and he signed with New York ahead of the 2023 campaign. He has tallied 384 tackles, 3.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, and five interceptions in 96 career games. The Jets have one of the best secondaries in the NFL, and Clark's return helps in the depth department.

Philadelphia Eagles DE/LB Haason Reddick denied that he ever told the team he wants to be traded on Tuesday, Feb. 13, and is hopeful to get a contract extension done at some point. Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro pass-rusher Haason Reddick said he never requested a trade and wants to stay in Philadelphia. "I would like to get an extension done here at home. At no point did I ever tell the organization I want to be traded," Reddick said. He has one year left on his deal with no guaranteed money left. "This is home for me. I was born and raised here. Two of the most fun years playing football in my life came here. I've cherished being an Eagle." The 29-year-old linebacker reportedly requested a trade several days ago as he enters the final year of his current deal. The former first-rounder has had double-digit sacks in each of the last four seasons and has accumulated 27 sacks in his two years in Philadelphia. If he's going to stay in Philly, the Eagles are either going to have to restructure his deal or sign him to an extension.

From RotoBaller

Feb 11 1:50pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro edge rusher Haason Reddick has received permission to seek a trade following another disruptive season featuring double-digit sacks (11), according to sources. The 29-year-old has produced 27 sacks in his two seasons with the Eagles and should draw plenty of interest from teams looking to bolster their pass rush this offseason. In addition to his 11 sacks in 2023, Reddick compiled 38 tackles (29 solo), 13 tackles for loss and 23 QB hits in 17 starts for Philly. He now has four straight seasons with double-digit sacks and has 58 in his seven NFL seasons after spending his first four years with the Arizona Cardinals. Reddick is entering the final year of his current contract and will be looking for a long-term contraction extension with whatever team is willing to trade for him.
