Dec 9 12:10pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber had 11 carries for 36 scoreless yards in a win over the Colts Sunday. Barber caught both of his targets for 19 yards in the passing game. Tampa Bay abandoned the run game early in this one falling behind by multiple scores making Barber a spectator on the sidelines for most of the second half. Barber and fellow running back Ronald Jones both played less than 40 percent of the offensive snaps and will be hard to trust moving forward as part of a timeshare backfield on a pass-first team. Barber will be a touchdown-dependent dart throw in deep leagues at best in Week 15 at Detroit.

Dec 8 9:03pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber rushed 11 times for 34 yards in Week 14 against the Indianapolis Colts and he added two catches for 19 yards on his two targets.

Fantasy Spin: Barber and Ronald Jones split the backfield touches and neither really did anything of significance. Both remain decent low-end RB3 or flex fantasy options heading into Week 15 against the Detroit Lions.

From TheHuddle

Dec 6 12:20am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber rewarded fantasy owners who were brave enough to start him in Week 13, but a repeat of his two-touchdown performance, or even something close to it, is hard to envision heading into the first week of the fantasy playoffs. The Bucs backfield is a weekly guessing game with head coach Bruce Arians still refusing to commit to Barber or Ronald Jones. That makes it extremely hard to trust Barber, especially in a do-or-die situation for fantasy owners. Barber has a tough task on his hands regardless this week with the Indianapolis Colts coming to town. The Colts have given up the seventh-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season, with only one back going over the century mark on the ground. Barber is not a recommended start this week.

Dec 2 4:10am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber rushed 17 times for 44 yards and two touchdowns in the Bucs Week 13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Barber and Ronald Jones II initially started out sharing the load, but Jones all but disappeared from the rotation after Barber's 15-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Barber's second touchdown run was a one-yard score, and he chipped in a two-point conversion to boot. It was a nice day for Barber, but the weekly unknown that is the Bucs backfield makes him very hard to trust heading into the first week of the fantasy playoffs. He will not be a recommended fantasy option when the Bucs host the Colts in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 6:03pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13.

Fantasy Spin: Barber has been sharing playing time with Ronald Jones this season but had one of his best games of the season this week. He likely will continue to receive at least 10 carries each game but should only be a possible flex option in deeper leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 1 2:40am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber has been given an extremely inconsistent workload since the Bucs bye. He has carried the ball 10 times or more in three games, and four times or less in two games. Barber doesn't have the most daunting matchup in Week 13 with the Jacksonville Jaguars on deck, but with Ronald Jones II performing well coupled with Barber's recent usage, he makes for an extremely risky fantasy start. He is not a recommended start for this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 5:53pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber rushed for 32 yards on 11 carries against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12.

Fantasy Spin: Barber split the carries with Ronald Jones this week and has received at least 10 carries in three of the last five games. Barber probably will only be used as a runner moving forward and can be avoided in most leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 24 5:50pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber struggled to get much of anything going in Week 12 against the Falcons. He carried the ball 11 times for 32 yards, with no rushes of more than eight yards. Ronald Jones II was the team's leading rusher in the game, gaining 51 yards on 12 carries. It's encouraging for Barber that he only saw one fewer touch than Jones, but equally discouraging that Barber couldn't produce nearly as well as Jones, who also scored in the game. Barber is someone worth watching going forward, but he's the No. 2 back behind Jones in Tampa Bay for now.

From RotoBaller

Nov 21 9:00pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber is trending towards being cemented as the clear cut No.2 option in the Bucs backfield. Barber did not get a touch in Week 11, and while he did find the end zone on one of his two targets on the day, it looks like Ronald Jones II is the back to own on this team. The Bucs travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons in Week 12, and while the Falcons are not the scariest squad, they are not the most giving on the ground. Barber is not a recommended start in Week 12 and can be safely dropped in all formats.

From RotoBaller

Nov 19 10:43pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Dare Ogunbowale played 43 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 11 loss to the New Orleans Saints Sunday, Nov. 17. Ronald Jones played 31 percent and Peyton Barber made up just 18 percent.

Fantasy Spin: Ogunbowale rushed just twice for no yards and caught three of four targets for only 10 yards. The poor performance from QB Jameis Winston threw things in a blender for the Bucs' offensive plans, but Jones should be expected to be the most productive of an inconsistent trio.

From TheHuddle

Nov 17 11:40pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber did not have a rushing attempt the entire afternoon in Week 11 but was able to save his day with a six-yard touchdown catch. Barber caught 2-of-2 targets for 11 yards on the day but was totally uninvolved after scoring late in the fourth quarter with the Bucs in a deep hole. Barber's usage has continued to decrease weekly as Ronald Jones II has become the clear No.1 option in this backfield. Fantasy owners who are still holding on to Barber can drop him now. Needless to say, he will not be a recommended start in Week 12 against the Falcons.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 6:33pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber caught two passes for 11 yards and one touchdown against the New Orleans Saints in Week 11.

Fantasy Spin: Barber has been used mostly in the running game but was involved in the passing game this week since the team only ran the ball eight times. He should resume his role as a runner next week but can be avoided in most leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 14 11:40am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber took over in Week 10 after Ronald Jones II fumbled late in the fourth quarter, which puts the Bucs backfield right back where it started, a frustrating timeshare. Jones and Barber had the same amount of touches in Week 10, but Jones was clearly the go-to on passing downs. The Saints present an extremely tough matchup for the entire Bucs backfield in Week 11, especially being at home in a potential get-right spot. Barber is not a recommended start this week in a game where fantasy owners can expect a shutdown effort by the Saints Defense.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 9:03pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber split carries with RB Ronald Jones again in Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals. Barber ended up with 11 rushes for 43 yards and a touchdown, while Jones had 29 yards on 11 totes and a score.

Fantasy Spin: Barber was outgained in the receiving game by Jones, who is better in PPR formats. Barber is a low-end RB3 in most standard fantasy formats. The Bucs host the Saints in Week 11.

From TheHuddle

Nov 10 7:20pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber led the Bucs in rushing yards in their Week 10 win over the Cardinals. Barber was expected to take more of a backseat to Ronald Jones II in this one but only saw fewer looks in the passing game, as both backs totaled 11 touches on the ground. Barber totaled 47 yards and scored the winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter after Jones fumbled on the Bucs second-to-last drive of the game. It was all Barber from then on, which puts this backfield right back to where it started. A frustrating timeshare. Jones will slot in as a low-end bye week fill-in option when the Bucs travel to New Orleans to face the Saints in Week 11.

From RotoBaller

Nov 3 11:00pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber posted a measly 15 yards on four carries in the Bucs Week 9 loss to the Seahawks. Barber, who is usually in a timeshare with Ronald Jones II, took a major back seat in this one, seeing 16 fewer touches on the day. The unpredictability of the Bucs backfield usage coupled with the fact that they focus more on the aerial attack has made Barber borderline unstartable in any fantasy format, and that will be the case in Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals. Fantasy owners can definitely do better.

From RotoBaller

Oct 31 2:20am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber and the Bucs will travel to Seattle in Week 9 to face the Seahawks. Barber is firmly entrenched in a timeshare with backfield mate Ronald Jones II, and with nothing changing in that regard after the Bucs bye week, fantasy owners can expect this to be the case for the rest of the season. The Seahawks do allow a healthy 4.9 yards per carry, but the game script will likely hurt Barber in a matchup where the Bucs will likely be dominated. Barber will slot in as a touchdown-dependent flex option this week. What else is new.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 6:53pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber ran 10 times for 20 yards in Week 8 against the Tennessee Titans and he added an eight-yard grab.

Fantasy Spin: Barber and Ronald Jones basically split the carries down the middle and neither was able to shine. Treat both as low-end RB3 or flex fantasy options in leagues of 12 or more teams. The Bucs travel to meet the Seahawks in Week 9.

From TheHuddle

Oct 27 6:30pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber had just 20 yards on 10 carries in the loss to the Titans on Sunday. As usual, Barber received nearly an equal amount of carries as Ronald Jones II, who compiled an unimpressive 35 yards on 11 attempts. The distribution of work has been the norm for the team this season, with this arrangement likely to continue against the Seahawks in Week 9. For now, Barber is worth a stash in deeper formats, but only if you have room to spare.

From RotoBaller

Oct 25 12:00am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber faces a solid Tennessee Titans squad in Week 8. Barber has established himself through the first seven weeks of the season as borderline unstartable in any fantasy format and should be treated as such. The Bucs backfield has been a guessing game all season long in regards to who will lead the team in touches on a weekly basis, and by now fantasy owners should have a clear idea on how exactly to treat both Barber and backfield mate Ronald Jones II. Barber is not a recommended start this week, or any week until something changes in that backfield.
