2024 RTSports Outlook

Andrews had his usual big season as the starting tight end for the Ravens. He topped 800 yards for they third time in four seasons. Andrews was fourth overall in fantasy tight end scoring. He had some big games, including four with 20-plus fantasy points. He is the top target in the Ravens passing game and in the prime of his career. Andrews is a big target that does well after the catch for a man of his size. He can be a big-play threat in the passing game. He will drop a few passes and isn't a top blocking tight end but that doesn't hold him back from getting playing time.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Andrews is a top-three fantasy tight end more than capable of finishing first overall in fantasy tight end scoring. He is worth an early-round pick at a top-heavy position. He can get around 80 receptions for 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews made his long-awaited return in the AFC Championship game after being sidelined since Week 11. He was on a snap count, so it was going to be difficult to post a big game. Andrews ended the game with two catches for 15 yards on two targets. He only posted one other game with fewer than four targets, and that was the game he was injured in against the Cincinnati Bengals. The former All-Pro played in the fewest games of his career this season so that translated to career lows in a lot of the receiving categories. Two years still remain on his contract, so he'll have an off-season to get his ankle stronger and get back to All-Pro form. He'll remain a higher-end draft target next season as well.

From RotoBaller

Jan 28 8:23pm ET

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) was able to play in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, and he recorded two receptions for 15 yards on his two targets.

Fantasy Spin: While Andrews didn't do much for anybody taking a chance on him in postseason fantasy leagues or DFS play, fantasy managers were glad to see him make an appearance. He should once again be a TE1 in all fantasy leagues in 2024.

From TheHuddle

Jan 26 4:40pm ET

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) was a full practice participant all week and was removed from the team's final injury report for the AFC Championship game on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Andrews was officially activated from Injured Reserve on Friday as well and will play this weekend for the first time since fracturing his fibula and suffering ligament damage in his left ankle in Week 11. The 28-year-old has been quarterback Lamar Jackson's favorite target when healthy, but there's a good chance Andrews will be on a snap count after such a long layoff, making him pretty risky for DFS lineups at his $5,000 DraftKings price tag. Isaiah Likely, who broke out with Andrews sidelined, is the better play at a slightly cheaper cost ($4,300).

From RotoBaller

Jan 26 4:13pm ET

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 26, and is not on the injury report for the AFC Championship game.

Fantasy Spin: Andrews is on track to play for the first time since mid-November and should regain his important role in the passing game this week. He should be a starting option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Jan 26 4:03pm ET

Baltimore Ravens LB Del'Shawn Phillips (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is listed as doubtful for the AFC Championship Game versus the Kansas City Chiefs. WR Tylan Wallace (knee) was limited in practice on Friday, Jan. 26, and is listed as questionable. CB Marlon Humphrey (calf) and CB Rock Ya-Sin (knee) practiced in full on Friday but are also listed as questionable. TE Mark Andrews (ankle) practiced in full all week and has been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Jan 26 12:10pm ET

The Baltimore Ravens officially activated tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) from Injured Reserve on Friday, meaning he will be active for Sunday's AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Andrews hasn't played since he fractured his fibula and suffered ligament damage in his left ankle on Nov. 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but the 28-year-old Pro Bowl tight returned to practice last week and has been practicing in full. In Andrews' place, Isaiah Likely has broken out as one of quarterback Lamar Jackson's go-to targets, catching 23 passes for 356 yards and six touchdowns in seven games. There's no pass-catcher that Jackson trusts more than Andrews, though, but he'll probably be on a pitch count of some sort against KC, making him hard to trust for DFS fantasy lineups. Baltimore's offense isn't as dependent on Andrews as they've been in the past.

From RotoBaller

Jan 26 11:33am ET

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Friday, Jan. 26.

Fantasy Spin: Andrews makes his return for a crucial playoff game and should be started in all fantasy playoff formats.

From TheHuddle

Jan 25 5:13pm ET

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 25.

Fantasy Spin: The Ravens opened up a spot on their roster, so there is a good chance that Andrews is activated from the Reserve/Injured list in time for the AFC Championship game. Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation but can start him if he is active for the game.

From TheHuddle

Jan 25 3:53pm ET

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) practiced in full for a second straight day on Thursday, Jan. 25.

Fantasy Spin: Andrews also practiced in full over the final two days of last week and was listed as questionable but did not play, so it is not a given he will play Sunday versus the Kansas City Chiefs. With that said, the AFC Championship Game has reportedly been set as the target date for his first game action since going down in Week 11, so fantasy managers and DFS players should expect him to play. The bigger question for him this week is whether he can produce after such a long layoff against one of the best defenses against tight ends in the league.

From TheHuddle

Jan 24 7:00pm ET

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) was a full participant in the team's first practice of the week on Wednesday. Andrews hasn't played since Week 11, when he fractured his fibula and suffered ligament damage to his ankle. The 28-year-old was close to playing in the Divisional Round against the Houston Texans, but the Ravens ultimately decided to hold him out for one more week. As long as he doesn't have a setback later this week, Andrews is fully expected to be activated from Injured Reserve and play in the AFC Championship on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Andrews has been quarterback Lamar Jackson's top aerial target when healthy, but it's unclear how often Andrews will be on the field. There's a good chance he's rather limited, and the possibility of Isaiah Likely taking valuable targets away will make him a big gamble in DFS lineups.

From RotoBaller

Jan 24 5:13pm ET

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Jan. 24.

Fantasy Spin: Andrews has been able to practice over the last few weeks but is still on the Reserve/Injured list. Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation during the week because he can be a starting option in all leagues if he is cleared to play.

From TheHuddle

Jan 24 12:10pm ET

Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) remains on Injured Reserve, has not played since Week 11, and didn't play in the Divisional Round win over the Houston Texans, but he's expected to play this Sunday in the AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Andrews is attempting to make his return after cracking his fibula and suffering ligament damage to his ankle back in Week 11, so it remains to be seen how much he'll actually see the field if he's officially activated from Injured Reserve and cleared to play against the Chiefs later this week. There's a good chance that both Andrews and Isaiah Likely are both involved in the passing attack, making them both more unlikely to pay off for those setting DFS lineups this weekend.

From RotoBaller

Jan 22 6:43pm ET

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) is expected to practice this week and will be available for the AFC Championship game if he is ready to play, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

From TheHuddle

Jan 22 3:00pm ET

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) was designated to return from Injured Reserve on Friday, January 12, but he did not suit up to face the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round on Saturday. Despite being a full participant at practice on Wednesday and Thursday, the 28-year-old was listed as questionable and was held out. Since it seems he was close to playing, the belief is that he could be back to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday. However, head coach John Harbaugh was non-committal on his status on Monday. "We'll just see how it goes," Harbaugh said. "If he's ready to play, he'll play." It sounds like DFS gamers will have to wait a little longer to see if the Pro Bowler will hit the playing field for the first time since Week 11. If he's active, he'll be firmly on the fantasy radar, and Isaiah Likely will be a downgraded DFS option.

From RotoBaller

Jan 19 6:23pm ET

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) will not play in the Divisional Round playoff game but could be available if the team advances to the AFC Championship game, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec.

Fantasy Spin: Andrews is still working his way back from a serious injury, so fantasy players will need to monitor the situation as long as the Ravens are in the playoffs. He will be a starting fantasy option once he returns to the lineup.

From TheHuddle

Jan 19 6:10pm ET

The Baltimore Ravens didn't activate tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) from Injured Reserve on Friday in order for him to play in Saturday's Divisional Round playoff game against the Houston Texans. Andrews was designated to return from IR at the end of last week and even put in two full practices this week, but ultimately he will not play after being listed as questionable on Thursday's final injury report. If the Ravens beat Houston and advance to the AFC Championship, Andrews, quarterback Lamar Jackson's favorite target when healthy, will be an option to play next weekend. The 28-year-old has been on IR since fracturing his left fibula and suffering ligament damage in his left ankle in Week 11. Isaiah Likely is a worthwhile DFS option if you're trying to save money at the position. He's scored five times in his last five games.

From RotoBaller

Jan 19 12:43pm ET

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) is not expected to play against the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, according to sources Friday, Jan. 19.

Fantasy Spin: Andrews is still working his way back from a significant ankle injury so Isaiah Likely will once again step in as the starter. Likely is a solid starting option in playoff leagues.

From TheHuddle

Jan 19 12:10pm ET

The Baltimore Ravens are not expected to activate star tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) from Injured Reserve on Friday in order to play against the Houston Texans in Saturday's Divisional Round playoff game, as he's not quite ready to return from a significant ankle injury that has kept him out since Week 11. If the Ravens beat the Texans and advance to the AFC Championship, perhaps Andrews will be ready then. The 28-year-old put in full practices on Wednesday and Thursday and was listed as questionable for Saturday's game, but the Ravens aren't going to push it and will hold Andrews out. It means that Isaiah Likely, who has scored five touchdowns in his last five games, will once again be the team's top pass-catching tight end and will be a solid DFS play if you're trying to save money at the TE position.

From RotoBaller

Jan 18 4:23pm ET

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 18, but is listed as questionable for the Divisional Round playoff game.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to keep an eye on the situation because Andrews likely will play if he is activated from the Reserve/Injured list before the game. He should have a role in the passing game despite the long layoff and can be a starting option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Jan 18 4:20pm ET

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said it's still undecided if tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) will play in Saturday's Divisional Round playoff game against the Houston Texans, and he's officially listed as questionable. Andrews practiced this week for the first time since injuring his left ankle on Nov. 16 before being put on Injured Reserve. The good news is Andrews practiced in full on Wednesday and Thursday, but it doesn't necessarily mean he'll be active on Sunday or even have a big role if he does suit up. Andrews has been quarterback Lamar Jackson's favorite target since they were both selected by the Ravens in the 2018 draft. He ranks in the top three at the TE position with 347 catches (second), 4,305 yards (third) and 37 touchdowns (second) in the last five seasons. Andrews is going to be a risky DFS play if he's active on Saturday.
