Wilkins got in four games with the Colts last year. He was on the practice squad much of the year. He had 13 carries for 58 yards and finished with 87 total yards. He has done little the last two seasons, so nothing is certain for Wilkins going forward. Wilkins has three seasons with 300-plus rushing yards but not done a whole lot besides just some spot duty. He will try to earn another reserve role this season. Wilkins is a tall back with good strength. He does well between the tackles and is a good one-cut runner. He also is a solid pass catcher. He lacks a little top-end speed, though, and doesn't have great moves in space.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Wilkins is a long shot to do much this year. Even in his best seasons to date, he has done little. He might get around 100 total yards.

The Browns elevated running back Jordan Wilkins from the practice squad ahead of the team's upcoming meeting in Seattle. Under normal circumstances, this move wouldn't be newsworthy. However, it may paint a bigger picture, potentially signaling an impending absence by Jerome Ford (ankle), who remains questionable for Week 8. Fortunately for Cleveland, Kareem Hunt (thigh) was removed from the injury report, so he'll be the No. 1 option out of the backfield versus the Seahawks. Pierre Strong Jr. should also get some work, so fantasy managers shouldn't consider adding Wilkins in any format, considering the move was likely made purely for depth purposes.

The Cleveland Browns signed free-agent running back Jordan Wilkins to their practice squad on Tuesday. Wilkins will join the squad after the Browns released Deon Jackson earlier in the week. Wilkins spent some time with Cleveland during this past training camp before being cut but he will now return to provide some depth after Jerome Ford injured his ankle during a Week 7 win. If Ford ends up missing some time, Wilkins could be elevated to the 53-man roster as the RB3 in Cleveland behind Kareem Hunt and Pierre Strong Jr.
