Baltimore Ravens QB Robert Griffin III said Thursday, April 4, the Jacksonville Jaguars tried to trade for him twice last season. Then, as a free agent this offseason, Griffin waited to see if the Jaguars signed Nick Foles before returning to the Ravens on a two-year deal.
Free-agent QB Robert Griffin III (Ravens) re-signed with the Baltimore Ravens Friday, March 22, on a two-year deal. Financial terms weren't disclosed, and the deal is pending a physical.
The Baltimore Ravens re-signed backup quarterback Robert Griffin III on Thursday to an undisclosed two-year deal. The 29-year-old will continue to back up starter Lamar Jackson in 2019. The former first-round pick can be an invaluable source for Jackson as he matures heading into his second season, but RG3 will continue to have no fantasy value.
Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens QB Robert Griffin III was re-signed to a two-year deal Thursday, March 21. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Free-agent QB Robert Griffin III (Ravens) was re-signed to an undisclosed deal by the Baltimore Ravens Thursday, March 21.
Free-agent QB Robert Griffin III (Ravens) and the Baltimore Ravens mutually hope to have Griffin re-signed soon to back up QB Lamar Jackson. Jackson is currently the only quarterback on Baltimore's roster.
Baltimore Ravens impending free-agent QB Robert Griffin III desires to stay in Baltimore as the backup and help QB Lamar Jackson develop.
The Green Bay Packers may look to sign a veteran in free agency to play behind QB Aaron Rodgers, in the opinion of Packers Wire's Zach Kruse, who lists QBs Ryan Fitzpatrick (Buccaneers), Matt Schaub (Falcons), Robert Griffin III (Redskins), Sean Mannion (Rams) and Austin Davis (Titans) as possible fits; everyone on the list except Fitzpatrick previously played for head coach Matt LaFleur earlier in their careers.
Baltimore Ravens impending free-agent QB Robert Griffin III and Cleveland Browns impending free-agent QB Tyrod Taylor are possible backup options for the Ravens next season, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh said the team will be looking to add two quarterbacks this offseason and want the quarterbacks to play a similar style to QB Lamar Jackson.
Baltimore Ravens impending free-agent QB Robert Griffin III said he would like to return to the Ravens next season.
The Baltimore Ravens have declared OT Alex Lewis, CB Tavon Young, WR Jordan Lasley, LB Tim Williams, DE Patrick Ricard, QB Robert Griffin III and DE Zach Sieler inactive for Wild Card Weekend.
The Baltimore Ravens have declared OT Alex Lewis, LB Tim Williams, WR Jordan Lasley, DE Patrick Ricard, QB Robert Griffin III, DE Zach Sieler and RB Javorius Allen inactive for Week 17.
The Baltimore Ravens have declared OT Alex Lewis, LB Tim Williams, WR Jordan Lasley, DE Patrick Ricard, QB Robert Griffin III, DE Zach Sieler and RB Javorius Allen inactive for Week 16.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Robert Griffin III misfired on both of his passes in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Chiefs. Griffin entered the game with 1:46 left in overtime after Lamar Jackson injured his ankle when he was sacked. The 28-year-old missed on a short pass to John Brown and a deep pass to Willie Snead. With Jackson proclaiming his ankle being fine and Joe Flacco (hip) likely unable to play in Week 15, Griffin will probably be inactive for the remainder of the year.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Robert Griffin III completed two of four passes for 21 yards in Sunday's win over the Falcons. Griffin entered the game after starter Lamar Jackson was forced to leave the contest as a result of receiving a kick to the head in the third quarter. The seventh-year pro, who hadn't thrown a pass in two seasons, subsequently orchestrated a beautiful 14-play, 60-yard drive that ended with a field goal by Justin Tucker. Jackson was able to return to start the fourth quarter. It is nice to see Griffin have some success, but it really doesn't mean anything going forward as Joe Flacco (hip) is expected to be available for Week 14.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Robert Griffin III could make his season debut against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11. The Ravens have yet to name a starter for Sunday's game, but with Joe Flacco (hip) listed as doubtful on the team's injury report, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network believes Griffin will open the game under center. Griffin, who outplayed Lamar Jackson during the preseason, has been inactive all season. However, he is the only one of the three quarterbacks to practice all week as Jackson missed Thursday's session with a stomach virus and Flacco did not participate at all. It may be wise for coach John Harbaugh to start the veteran Giffin rather than the rookie Jackson in what is essentially a must-win game for Ravens. Regardless, it is best for fantasy owners to bypass all three quarterbacks this week as their roles have yet to be publicly defined.
Updating previous reports, Baltimore Ravens QB Robert Griffin III appears likely to see some playing time in Week 11's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Fantasy Spin: Griffin will probably see his first action since 2016 this week because the Ravens frequently employ two-quarterback sets and Joe Flacco (hip) appears unlikely to play. However, Griffin will not be a great fantasy option because Lamar Jackson is expected to start and will receive a majority of the snaps.
With Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco (hip) up in the air for Week 11 against the Bengals, the team has continually mentioned Robert Griffin III as an option to start even if it seems unlikely. RG3 has mainly been inactive this year because the Ravens have used rookie Lamar Jackson in special packages in each game. Jackson has more upside and has seen some success in a limited sample in his rookie year, making Griffin the unlikely option to start should Flacco be inactive. If Griffin does receive the nod, he'd merely be a low-end QB2 streaming option against a defense that has been a mess this year.
Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) is receiving treatment on his injured hip but head coach John Harbaugh is hopeful he can play. Harbaugh added that Flacco doesn't need to practice this week in order to play. If he can't play then QBs Robert Griffin III and Lamar Jackson would both have a chance to start.
Fantasy Spin: If the Ravens choose to hold out Flacco this week then Jackson would seemingly have the inside track to start as he has been more involved in the offense this year and gives the Ravens more athleticism at the position.
The Baltimore Ravens have declared TE Maxx Williams, WR Jordan Lasley, LB Tim Williams, RB Ty Montgomery, OT James Hurst, QB Robert Griffin III and OT Ronnie Stanley inactive for Week 9.
