Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip), who missed nine games of the 2018 season and all of the current offseason with a hip injury said Friday, June 7, 'there's no reason why I shouldn't be out there Week 1.'
Fantasy Spin: Wilson caught 26 passes for 391 yards and four TDs in seven games last season, and should be drafted a late-round WR flyer with the health uncertainty baked in.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Albert Wilson (hip), who missed half of last season with a serious hip injury, said that "there's no reason why I shouldn't be out there Week 1." He hasn't been able to practice since his injury on Oct. 21 but said he's "been outstanding with everything they've asked me to do" in his rehab. However, there's still a good chance he starts training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Wilson, 27 next month, had 26 receptions for 391 yards and four touchdowns in his seven games in 2018. With Wilson questionable to be ready to produce for fantasy owners to start the regular season, he won't be very coveted by fantasy owners. Devante Parker and Kenny Stills figure to be the team's top two wideouts, so Wilson might be an inconsistent producer in Miami's offense to begin with.
Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) did not participate in any offseason workouts or minicamps because he is still recovering from a hip injury.
Fantasy Spin: Wilson will have over a month to rest his hip, so he may be ready for the start of training camp. He played well before the injury in 2018 and probably will be a starter for the Dolphins this upcoming season. He has a chance to be a late-round option in some fantasy leagues.
Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) did not participate in practice Tuesday, May 14, because he is still recovering from a hip injury.
Fantasy Spin: Wilson played well in his limited playing time this past season and should be one of the team's starting receivers in 2019. He should receive a solid amount of targets this upcoming season but probably would only be a late-round option in deeper leagues.
Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson is one of the best bets to remain with the team out of a wide receiver contingent that appears headed for upheaval, and new position coach Karl Dorrell has quickly become a fan. 'He was pretty dynamic wasn't he?' Dorrell said recently of Wilson. 'He's a very unique player. I'm really excited about him. .... I hear he's doing a really good job with the recovery process but you could tell when he was on the field, he had a number of ways to affect the defense and to make the defense really pay attention to where he is and things like that.'
Fantasy Spin: A hip injury cost Wilson all but seven games in 2018 but he still led the team with his 15-yard-per-reception average and finished third on the squad with his four receiving TDs. Wilson is a definite fantasy WR sleeper to keep an eye on this summer.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Albert Wilson (hip) has progressed in his rehab without setbacks since suffering a hip injury in October, according to a league source. Doctors have ruled out surgery once and for all for Wilson and has raised hope that he will be able to get back on the field this spring. The belief is that Wilson will be ready for the start of the offseason program in April. Wilson ranked third on the team in touchdowns (four receiving and one passing) despite missing nine games, and his yards-per-catch average (15.0) led the team. Although Miami's quarterback situation is up in the air, Wilson should have a prominent place in the team's offense next year regardless.
Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) is on schedule with his recovery from an October hip injury that landed him on IR and could be at full speed when the team's offseason workout program begins in April.
Fantasy Spin: After four largely nondescript seasons in Kansas City, Wilson flashed some playmaking ability before getting injured against the Lions. There are far too many variables in Miami for an accurate read on Wilson's fantasy prospects for 2019, but he did enough last year to warrant your attention.
