Player Notes
Feb 2 10:33pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed 26 of his 42 passes for 286 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, and he rushed nine times for 29 yards and a touchdown in a 31-20 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV Sunday, Feb. 2. RB Damien Williams rushed 17 times for 104 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 29 yards and a score. WR Tyreek Hill caught nine of his 16 targets for 105 yards, WR Sammy Watkins hauled in five passes for 98 yards, and TE Travis Kelce caught all six of his targets for 43 yards and a touchdown. SS Bashaud Breeland finished with a team-high seven tackles, including two tackles for loss, and a pass defensed.

Jan 19 8:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams was able to find the end zone three times last week in the Divisional Round battle with the Houston Texans. Williams continued his strong play against the Tennessee Titans in Sunday's AFC Championship game. Williams rushed 17 times for 45 yards and a touchdown. He also caught five passes for 44 yards through the air. Veteran back LeSean McCoy (illness) didn't play and rookie Darwin Thompson saw just one carry in this game. It's clear that the Chiefs trust Williams to be their lead back going forward. Look for him to make a significant impact in Super Bowl 54.

Jan 19 6:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed 23-for-35, passing for 294 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions Sunday, Jan. 19, against the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game. He also ran for 53 yards and a touchdown. RB Damien Williams rushed 17 times for 45 yards and a touchdown, adding five receptions for 44 yards. WR Tyreek Hill caught five of seven targets for 67 yards and two touchdowns, while WRs Sammy Watkins paced the team with seven catches on 10 looks, 114 yards and a touchdown. TE Travis Kelce was held to three catches for 30 yards on four targets. SS Tyrann Mathieu led all Chiefs with nine total tackles (six solo), chipping in a pass deflection.

Jan 18 4:40pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams is coming off a three touchdown performance against the Houston Texans last week. He rushed 12 times for 47 yards and caught two passes for 21 yards through the air. LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson have been absent from the backfield lately. The Chiefs have been leaning on Williams and it's been paying off. He's been able to find the end zone when he's called upon and piled up 109 yards against the Titans earlier in the season. Fantasy owners are aware that Williams has been up and down this season, but he's red-hot right now. He'll be used in both the rushing and passing attack, so DFS players should give Williams a long look for Sunday's slate.

Jan 12 7:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams scored three touchdowns during Sunday's Divisional Round victory over the Houston Texans. He rushed 12 times for 47 yards and two touchdowns. He was also targeted six times in the passing game, but only hauled in two of those passes. Williams did score a short touchdown on one of the receptions. Most of his action came on short plays near the end zone, but he's clearly a big part of their offense. He should be heavily utilized during their matchup with the Tennessee Titans next weekend.

Jan 12 6:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed 23-of-35 passes for 321 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's AFC Divisional Round win over the Houston Texans. He also led the team with 53 rushing yards on seven attempts. RB Damien Williams ran 12 times for 47 yards with two touchdowns, while adding two grabs for 21 yards and a third score. TE Travis Kelce had a monster game with 10 grabs, 134 yards and three touchdowns. WR Sammy Watkins had two grabs for 76 yards and he added 14 rushing yards. WR Tyreek Hill ran three times for 41 yards with a four-yard run and one lost fumble. WR Mecole Hardman was good for two receptions and 19 yards, while WR Demarcus Robinson ended his day with one catch for four yards on four targets.

Jan 9 8:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams has put himself back into the fantasy conversation with his play over the last few weeks. He finished the regular season with a 124 yard rushing performance that also led to two touchdowns. Williams has been involved in both the run and passing game. DFS players should take a long look at Williams for this weekend's playoff matchups. The Houston Texans have a below average defense that Williams can take advantage of in the run and passing game. He'll likely be a popular choice, but hopefully he'll live up to the hype.

Dec 29 5:30pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams had his biggest game of the season in the Week 17 victory over the Chargers. Williams rushed 12 times for 124 yards and two touchdowns, but he also caught four passes for 30 yards as well. LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson were healthy, but head coach Andy Reid continued to ride the hot hand of Williams. It has been an up and down type of season for Williams, but at least he finished the regular season on a strong note.

From RotoBaller

Dec 28 6:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams returned with a bang last week against the Chicago Bears. He missed the previous three games due to a ribs injury, but looks strong once again. He should have reliable RB2 value against the Chargers in the regular season finale. However, the Chiefs have been using a committee of backs, so it's unclear how much Williams is going to touch the ball. Head coach Andy Reid wants to limit the workload of LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson isn't going to see more than a handful of touches at maximum. Williams should be able to be counted on for at least 10 or more rushing attempts in Week 17.

From RotoBaller

Dec 23 1:13am ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams ran for 65 yards on 16 carries and added three catches for 27 yards and a touchdown in Week 16 against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Spin: Williams, who had been sidelined with a rib injury since Week 12, wasn't exactly impressive - his longest play from scrimmage with 12 yards - but he came on in relief of Week 16 starter Spencer Ware and took advantage of LeSean McCoy being inactive (again) en route to one of his more productive fantasy efforts of the season. Owners should consider him little more than a risky flex option in Week 17 or during the fantasy playoffs.

From TheHuddle

Dec 23 12:10am ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams returned in Week 16 after missing the previous three games and didn't miss a beat. He rushed 16 times for 65 yards and caught three passes through the air for 27 yards and a touchdown. Williams was part of a three back committee in this one. Veteran LeSean McCoy was a healthy scratch, so Spencer Ware and Darwin Thompson took snaps in the backfield. Williams didn't appear to have any issues running through the Bears Defense. He should remain a RB2 for Week 17 against the Chargers.

From RotoBaller

Dec 20 8:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) isn't on the injury report ahead of the Week 16 matchup with the Chicago Bears. Williams has missed the last three games due to a ribs issue. Fantasy owners should feel relieved that Williams is back ahead of most fantasy championship games. However, the Chiefs have an absolute mess in the backfield. LeSean McCoy, Darwin Thompson, and Spencer Ware were all involved in the backfield committee while Williams was down. Williams is difficult to trust in most formats, but could be a desperation option in deep leagues. It's unclear what kind of workload he'll see with four running backs on the roster.

From RotoBaller

Dec 20 7:53pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 20, and is not on the injury report for Week 16.

Fantasy Spin: Williams has missed the last few games because of the injury but should receive most of the work at running back this week. He can be considered a No. 2 running back in most fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 20 5:23pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs OG Andrew Wylie (illness, ankle, shoulder) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 16 versus the Chicago Bears. CB Morris Claiborne (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and has also been ruled out. CB Rashad Fenton (hamstring), RB Damien Williams (rib), WR Tyreek Hill (shoulder), P Dustin Colquitt (knee), CB Kendall Fuller (thumb), QB Patrick Mahomes (hand), DT Derrick Nnadi (elbow) and WR Mecole Hardman (glute) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 20, and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 20 4:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (rib) has been cleared to play on Sunday night against the Bears, as he wasn't listed on the final injury report for Week 16. Williams hasn't played since Nov. 18 against the Chargers, and he's returning to a backfield that featured Spencer Ware, LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson the last two weeks. Williams could be the lead back now that he's healthy enough to play, but he could have his snaps limited, and this crowded backfield shouldn't inspire confidence in those that have kept Williams stashed this whole time. At best, he's a low-upside RB3 in a tough matchup with the Bears defensive front. This is a backfield to avoid in the fantasy finals.

From RotoBaller

Dec 19 5:33pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) was a limited participant in practice once again Thursday, Dec. 19.

Fantasy Spin: Williams will need to get in a full practice before fantasy managers can trust him. With the Chiefs having already won the division title, they have little need to rush him back and will likely continue to rely on the likes of LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson.

From TheHuddle

Dec 18 7:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Fantasy Spin: Williams has been sidelined for a month because of the injury and should be considered questionable again for this week. He can be a starting option in fantasy leagues if he plays, but fantasy players should have a backup plan in case Williams misses another game.

From TheHuddle

Dec 18 5:30pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs) was a limited participant on Wednesday. He hasn't played since suffering a rib injury in Week 11 against the Chargers, but he was also limited last Wednesday and Thursday before missing his third straight game in Week 15 against the Broncos. Williams could be in line to return in Week 16 against the Bears on Sunday night, but fantasy owners shouldn't be trusting him in their fantasy lineups in championship week. Darwin Thompson led the backfield with only eight carries last Sunday, with Spencer Ware rushing the ball seven times and LeSean McCoy seeing six totes. This is a backfield to avoid the rest of the way.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 12:40pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (ribs, illness) is inactive for Week 15 against the Denver Broncos. Darwin Thompson, LeSean McCoy and Spencer Ware will shoulder the load for Kansas City. The Chiefs backfield isn't an ideal fantasy situation, though McCoy, who's had success running in snowy conditions, and Thompson are probably the safest choices.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 11:53am ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (rib) has been declared inactive for the team's Week 15 game.
