Buffalo Bills wide receiver Andre Roberts has primarily made his mark as a punt and kick returner since 2016. He's filled the role for the Lions, Falcons and Jets and this year will be his first season with the Bills. However, the Bills might be looking to get him a little more involved in the passing game as coach Doug McDermott has been encouraged by Roberts' work ethic, giving him some opportunities to run with the first team at practice. He blocked extremely well the other night," McDermott said in reference to practice, "Ran some people off to open up space for our other receivers and you never really hear him say two words about it. He just wants to win. While this revelation might put Roberts somewhere on the fantasy radar, he still has far too many other receivers ahead of him on the depth chart to warrant drafting consideration.

Aug 6 9:00pm ET

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Andre Roberts was impressive again in the receiving game during practice on Tuesday, and he has been seeing more reps at receiver than he's seen in several years. Normally, he has been known for his special teams abilities and work in the return game. "I'm getting a lot here. That's just what I like to prove every single year that I play. Be what I am at returner, but at the same time be a dual threat and do some things on offense," Roberts said. He has had some first-team reps in practice, rotating with several others. His fantasy impact on offense is likely to still be rather small, but his presence in the return game helps the value of the Bills DST. Consider Buffalo's DST a low-end No. 1 option in most leagues of 12 or more teams.

From RotoBaller

Aug 6 2:33am ET

Buffalo Bills WR Andre Roberts has been consistently rotated in with the first-team offense along with WRs Cole Beasley, John Brown, Robert Foster and Zay Jones. 'He's done a good job,' head coach Sean McDermott said. 'We've had some injuries there so he is very willingly stepped up and shown what he has.'

Fantasy Spin: It's expected Beasley and Brown would be the top two receivers in Buffalo, but it's a rather fluid situation and Roberts could take advantage. However, at this point he is nothing more than a late-round flier in most fantasy leagues until further notice.

Buffalo Bills WR Andre Roberts may see work in the passing game as the No. 5 receiver in addition to playing on special teams, according to Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News.
