Griffin saw a big dip in production his first year with the Bears, catching just four passes for 26 yards in 15 games. He had 27 receptions the previous season with the Jets. Griffin has some starting experience, though, and even a season with 50 receptions, so he can help in a backup role, which he will try to earn this season. Griffin still isn't the best blocker but is a good pass-catching tight end. Griffin is a good athlete with decent speed and plus hands. He jumps well and is a tough cover because of his athleticism.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Griffin is trending the wrong way, having fewer than double-digit receptions two of three seasons. Go with more exciting options.
