Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (concussion) practiced in full on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Fantasy Spin: Conner appears to be trending toward being active in Week 11 after being shaken up late in Sunday's game. Circle back around on Friday for his official injury report designation.

Nov 14 5:53pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers OT Marcus Gilbert (knee), QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) and DE Stephon Tuitt (elbow) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 14. RB James Conner (concussion) practiced in full.

Nov 14 4:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner (concussion) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and said he feels good. Conner declined to say if he even suffered a concussion in last Thursday's game. With Le'Veon Bell now officially out of the picture for the rest of the year, Conner is locked into the workhorse role the rest of the way. He's been a strong RB1 this year and will remain so moving forward.

Nov 14 10:00am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner heads to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars in Week 11. Conner will be locked-in as the team's workhorse running back for the rest of the season after Le'Veon Bell failed to report to the Steelers by the Tuesday deadline. Jacksonville has been tough against running backs this season but Conner's involvement in the passing game keeps his floor high, even in difficult matchups. Treat Conner as a solid RB1 for his Week 11 game.

Nov 13 1:00pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol, but head coach Mike Tomlin said that Conner will be given an opportunity to practice on Wednesday, which should "lay those discussions to bed." Barring a setback, Conner should be good to go for Week 11 against the Jaguars. With Le'Veon Bell now unlikely to report on Tuesday, it looks like Conner will remain the team's lead back for the rest of the season. He has been a strong RB1 for fantasy owners all year.

Nov 13 12:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol Tuesday, Nov. 13. Head coach Mike Tomlin said Conner will be given the opportunity to practice Wednesday, Nov. 14, and that should 'lay those (concussion) discussions to bed.'

Fantasy Spin: With Conner getting injured last Thursday, he has a little extra time to clear the protocol, and it sounds like his head coach has little doubt he will. Keep an eye out for official confirmation of course, but plan on having Conner is his usual RB1 role for the Week 11 game against the Jaguars.

Nov 11 9:43am ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers are optimistic that RB James Conner (concussion) will clear concussion protocol prior to their Week 11 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday, Nov. 18.

Fantasy Spin: Conner sustained the injury in Pittsburgh's victory over the Carolina Panthers Thursday, Nov. 8, so he will have a slightly longer-than-normal period of time to recover. Assuming that Le'Veon Bell does not report to the team within the next few days, Stevan Ridley and Jaylen Samuels would split carries in the backfield if Conner is unable to play versus the Jaguars.

Nov 11 9:20am ET

With it looking more and more likely that Le'Veon Bell won't report to the team, the Steelers will need running back James Conner this year to keep up their playoff hopes. Conner, who is currently in concussion protocol after Thursday's win over the Panthers, could miss Week 11's meeting with the Jaguars, but the team remains optimistic that he'll be ready. In the event he does miss time, Jaylen Samuels and Stevan Ridley would likely split time in the backfield.

Nov 9 8:50am ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed running back James Conner in the league's concussion protocol. Conner was pulled from Thursday's win over the Carolina Panthers and could be seen entering the medical tent on the sideline before heading to the locker room during the fourth quarter. He didn't return to the game but there was some question as to whether it was due to a head injury or because Pittsburgh was leading by several touchdowns. Head coach Mike Tomlin clarified the situation after the game, telling reporters that Conner did, in fact, suffer a concussion. Conner has 10 days to clear concussion protocol ahead of his Week 11 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Nov 9 1:33am ET

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (concussion) has been placed in the NFL's concussion protocol, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

Fantasy Spin: While it's never a good thing for a player to suffer a concussion, the silver lining here is that Conner will get a few extra days to recover. The injury is sure to amplify interest in the potential return of Le'Veon Bell, who must report by this coming Tuesday or miss the season entirely, and could affect any possible plans to ease Bell into action (should he report). Stay tuned.

Nov 8 11:50pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner carried the ball 13 times for 65 yards and a touchdown in his team's dominant 52-21 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 10. The second-year running back found the end zone on a two-yard run in the first quarter, capping off a 61-yard drive. Conner was removed from the game early in the fourth quarter and could be seen heading into the blue medical tent on the sideline, presumably to be checked for a concussion. It is unclear whether he was unable to return or if the Steelers held him out due to the game being out of hand. Signs are pointing toward Le'Veon Bell returning to the team in Week 11, which could make this backfield a bit of a headache going forward. Pittsburgh will face the Jacksonville Jaguars next.

Nov 8 10:53pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (concussion) exited against the Carolina Panthers in Week 10 and was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion. He had 13 carries for 65 yards and a touchdown and one catch for eight yards before exiting.

Fantasy Spin: With Pittsburgh dismantling the Panthers, Conner's night is likely over regardless of the results of his evaluation. Going forward the potential return of Le'Veon Bell is going to have more of an impact on his value than a possible concussion.

Nov 7 9:40am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner will take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 10's Thursday night game. Conner has been a dominant fantasy force this season, currently sitting at RB3 in overall PPR scoring. He draws a tough-looking matchup against a stout Carolina run defense in Week 10. That being said, Conner has shown to be an excellent pass-catcher, which keeps his floor high, even in difficult matchups. Conner can be trusted as a top-six fantasy running back in Week 10.

From RotoBaller

Nov 6 1:00pm ET

Steelers' RB James Conner scored 29.30 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 9 win in Baltimore. Conner ran for 107 yards and caught seven passes for 56 yards with one touchdown. It's the 5th time this season Conner scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Nov 4 9:30pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner turned in a huge game against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9. Conner carried the ball 24 times for 107 yards and added seven catches for 56 yards and a touchdown in his team's win. The second-year running back certainly bounced back after he gained just 19 yards the first time these two teams met. Conner has emerged as one of the top dual-threat running backs in the league and should remain locked into fantasy lineups as an RB1 going forward. He has a short turnaround as the Steelers take on the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.

From RotoBaller

Nov 4 4:43pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner rushed for 107 yards on 24 carries against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9. He also caught seven passes for 56 yards and one touchdown during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Conner has rushed for at least 100 yards in each of his last four games and has recorded at least 50 receiving yards in three of those games. He is a must-start option in every week against any opponent.

Nov 4 4:30pm ET

Steelers' RB James Conner ran for 107 yards on 24 carries but no touchdowns in Sunday's win in Baltimore. It was Conner's 5th consecutive 100+ yard rushing performance. He has averaged 95 yards rushing in those games.

Oct 31 8:20am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner is coming off one of his best performances of the year in Week 8 as he scored twice and racked up 212 all-purpose yards. Conner will find running lanes tougher to navigate in Week 9 as he takes on a tough Baltimore Ravens run defense. Baltimore's run defense ranks fifth in DVOA this season and is allowing the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Conner also struggled against the Ravens in their previous meeting this season, picking up just 19 rushing yards on nine carries. This weekend he should be treated as more of an RB2 than the typical RB1 he has been for much of the season.

From RotoBaller

Oct 30 1:00pm ET

Steelers' RB James Conner scored an astounding 38.20 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 8 win against the Browns. Conner ran for 146 yards and caught five passes for 66 yards with two touchdowns. It's the 4th time this season Conner scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Oct 28 9:50pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner shredded the Cleveland Browns in his team's Week 8 win. Conner carried the ball 24 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns while adding five receptions for 66 yards in the game. The second-year runner, and the entire offense, got off to a slow start in the first quarter but was able to bounce back with two scores in the second half. Conner draws a tough matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9 but he will remain a volume-based RB1 for that contest. Conner gained just 19 yards on nine rushes back when these teams met in Week 4.
