New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard was good for seven receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also ran twice for 21 yards.

Fantasy Spin: The Giants needed a playmaker with Saquon Barkley exiting the game early and both Shepard and Evan Engram stepped up for Daniel Jones. If Shepard played like this every game he would be a legit WR 3/4 or flex fantasy option in most fantasy leagues. We'll see if he can keep it up in Week 4 against the Redskins before suggesting him outside of deeper leagues.

Sep 22 7:50pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard looked great in his return from a concussion on Sunday, catching seven of his nine targets for 100 yards and a touchdown. The big day may have been at least partially due to the Bucs secondary, but Shepard was also elusive in space and clearly has the confidence of Daniel Jones. With Golden Tate set to come back in Week 5, Shepard figures to be a focal point of the Giants' passing game for at least one more week, and he has a great matchup next week against the Redskins and aging Josh Norman, who cant match Shepards athleticism.

From RotoBaller

Sep 22 7:30pm ET

Giants' WR Sterling Shepard had 7 receptions for 100 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's win in Tampa Bay.

Sep 20 6:40pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion) said he played through a concussion in Week 1 against the Cowboys because he wanted to try and help the team win. Shepard didn't start feeling normal until this week and is off the final injury report for Week 3 against the Buccaneers. Shepard will be the top wideout this Sunday with Cody Latimer (concussion) ruled out. Rookie quarterback Daniel Jones could target Shepard heavily in his NFL debut, but it doesn't necessarily mean that Shepard is in line for a big day. It's also important to note that Shepard and Jones didn't play together in the preseason because Shepard broke his thumb on the first day of training camp. In his first game back from the concussion, Shepard will be a shaky WR4 with volume upside.

From RotoBaller

Sep 20 5:53pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 20, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Spin: Shepard likely will be cleared to play this week and will have to build chemistry with new quarterback Daniel Jones. He can be a flex option in some leagues since he should receive a decent amount of targets.

From TheHuddle

Sep 20 3:43pm ET

New York Giants WR Cody Latimer (concussion) was unable to practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 3 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. WR Bennie Fowler (hamstring) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday, Sept. 20, and is listed as questionable. CB Grant Haley (illness), OG Kevin Zeitler (shoulder), TE Garrett Dickerson (quad), WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) and WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) were able to fully participate in practice Friday and removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Sep 19 3:30pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion) practiced in full on Thursday for the first time since he suffered a concussion in Week 1. He sat out of the Week 2 game. However, Bennie Fowler (hamstring) and Cody Latimer (concussion) missed practice. With Fowler and Latimer trending toward sitting out in Week 3 against the Buccaneers, it would be Shepard, Russell Shepard, Cody Core and T.J. Jones as rookie quarterback Daniel Jones' weapons in his debut. The first-round pick will likely lean mostly on running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Evan Engram. Shepard has WR3 upside, but he's a risky play in Jones' debut against an improved Tampa defense.

From RotoBaller

Sep 19 2:53pm ET

New York Giants WRs Bennie Fowler (hamstring) and Cody Latimer (concussion) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 19. WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) was limited. TE Garrett Dickerson (quad), CB Grant Haley (illness), WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) and OG Kevin Zeitler (shoulder) were able to fully participate in practice.

From TheHuddle

Sep 19 2:33pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

Fantasy Spin: Although the Giants will almost certainly go run-heavy with Daniel Jones making his first NFL start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Shepard is a good bet for at least seven or eight targets as the only legitimate healthy wide receiver on the roster. Consider Shepard a low-upside WR3 if he plays.

From TheHuddle

Sep 19 11:20am ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard appeared at practice on Thursday without a yellow jersey, signaling that he has completed his progression through the league's concussion protocol. The return of the team's top wide receiver is obviously good news for new starting quarterback Daniel Jones and might also help take some defensive attention away from tight end Evan Engram. While Shepard is not a recommended start outside of deep leagues given the state of the Giants offense and this being his first game back, this raises the floor slightly for Jones.

From RotoBaller

Sep 19 11:13am ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) is expected to be cleared from the concussion protocol Thursday, Sept. 19.

Fantasy Spin: Shepard is worth consideration as a WR3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend.

From TheHuddle

Sep 18 4:13pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Fantasy Spin: Shepard appears to be making progress but still needs to be cleared by doctors before playing in a game. He will be working with a new quarterback if he is active for Week 3 and could be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Sep 18 12:00pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard continues to work his way back from a concussion he suffered in Week 1. He was on the field at practice Wednesday but was in a non-contact jersey, which suggests he has still not reached the final step in the league's concussion policy. His presence would be a boost to rookie quarterback Daniel Jones, but we need to see him practice in full before even thinking about putting him into any fantasy lineups.

From RotoBaller

Sep 18 11:53am ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) is practicing in a non-contact jersey Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Fantasy Spin: If Shepard is good to go, he is a flex option to consider against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with Daniel Jones under center.

From TheHuddle

Sep 16 7:53pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) is still going through the concussion protocol but has been cleared to practice in a non-contact jersey.

Fantasy Spin: Shepard needs to be cleared by doctors before he is allowed to play, so fantasy players should monitor his practice participation this week. He is the team's top receiver when he is healthy but may only be a No. 3 fantasy receiver or flex option when he returns.

From TheHuddle

Sep 15 11:43am ET

The New York Giants have declared TE Garrett Dickerson, QB Alex Tanney, WR Sterling Shepard, WR Darius Slayton, RB Paul Perkins, OG Chad Slade and OL Eric Smith inactive for Week 2.

From TheHuddle

Sep 13 3:13pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion), WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) and TE Garrett Dickerson (quad) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills. WR Cody Latimer (calf) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday, Sept. 13, and is listed as questionable. LB Markus Golden (hip), DL Dexter Lawrence (shoulder) and OG Kevin Zeitler (shoulder) all participated fully in practice Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Sep 13 1:03pm ET

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) on Friday, Sept. 14, was ruled out of the team's Week 2 game vs. the Buffalo Bills as he recovers from a concussion sustained in the season opener.

Fantasy Spin: The run of bad news has extended into the season for the Giants' WR corps, and hopefully Shepard owners already had a backup plan in place. Cody Latimer, Bennie Fowler and Russell Shepard now top the N.Y. WR depth chart with Golden Tate serving a suspension, but also should mean TE Evan Engram maintains a strong share of the team's targets.

From TheHuddle

Sep 13 12:50pm ET

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 2 against the Bills. That was the expectation, as Shepard had yet to be cleared to practice this week. With Golden Tate still serving a suspension and now Shepard ruled out, the G-Men will likely use Bennie Fowler, Russell Shepard and Cody Latimer in three-receiver sets against a Buffalo defense that is very good at shutting down the passing game. It doesn't bode well for the Giants offense as a whole this Sunday, and they'll likely lean heavily on running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Evan Engram. Hopefully Shepard can get cleared ahead of Week 3. Make sure you remove him from your starting lineups.

From RotoBaller

Sep 12 3:30pm ET

New York Giants wide receivers Sterling Shepard (concussion) and Cody Latimer (calf) both missed practice on Thursday. As things stand now, it's not looking good for Shepard's chances of suiting up in Week 2 in a very difficult matchup against the Bills. With Latimer also questionable to play, the G-Men may be sending out Bennie Fowler, Russell Shepard and Cody Core in three-receiver sets. Yuck. Expect running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Evan Engram to be heavily targeted. Buffalo's defense/special teams has high-end potential this weekend.
