The Denver Broncos re-signed tight end Jeff Heuerman to a two-year deal worth up to $9 million on Friday, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The former third-round pick in 2015 played in just 11 games due to injury last year and caught a career-high 31 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns in his third NFL season. Unless the Broncos add to the position in the draft or free agency, Heuerman will likely be the starter at the position. New quarterback Joe Flacco has targeted tight ends often in his career, so Heuerman could be a TE2 deep sleeper this year.

Mar 15 12:53pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco said Friday, March 15, that he's as healthy as he's ever been and is planning to be the team's quarterback solution for the foreseeable future. 'I hope they are dragging me out of this building a long time from now,' Flacco said.

Fantasy Spin: Flacco just turned 34, but with the myriad rules now favoring the offense and the passing game, quarterback lifespans certainly are longer than they used to be. If the Broncos can shore up their offensive line and add a pass-catching weapon or two -- namely a threat at tight end -- Flacco could be in line for a solid QB2 bounce-back fantasy season this fall.

Mar 14 3:13pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco is entering his prime, in the opinion of general manager John Elway. Denver's offensive system is similar to the system Flacco succeeded in with former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator and former Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak. Furthermore, head coach Vic Fangio knows Flacco and coached with the Ravens when Flacco was there.

Fantasy Spin: The addition of Flacco was a divisive move by the Broncos. Flacco is 34 years old, so it's hard to believe he's in his prime. If Denver can get a couple solid years out of him then it will be a win. Nonetheless, he is not and has never been a reliable starting fantasy quarterback.

Mar 13 4:43pm ET

Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco has officially been traded from the Baltimore Ravens with the league's new year beginning Wednesday, March 13, at 4 p.m. EDT. Baltimore receives a 2019 fourth-round pick from Denver.

Fantasy Spin: Flacco is a fringe QB2 in deeper leagues and has a suspect cast of receiving options at his disposal. Look for safer options or players with far more upside to man your backup spot.

Feb 18 3:33pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco passed his physical, making it possible for the Broncos and Baltimore Ravens to make their traded official in March. The Broncos agreed to trade the better of their fourth-round picks for Flacco.

Fantasy Spin: The move came at the bewilderment of many, with Flacco's ceiling being about as high as Case Keenum's. Nonetheless, Flacco has proven to be a backup fantasy quarterback throughout his mediocre career.

Feb 17 3:03pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco also was coveted by the Washington Redskins, helping spark the Broncos to make the trade with the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Fantasy Spin: Just as the QB he is replacing (Case Keenum) was in 2018, value Flacco as a mid-to-low-end QB2 next season in an offense that isn't expected to feature a high volume of passes.

Feb 16 12:13pm ET

The Denver Broncos will not restructure the contract of QB Joe Flacco after agreeing to acquire him from the Baltimore Ravens earlier this week. He is slated to make $18.5 million in 2019, $20.25 million in 2020 and $24.25 million in 2021, although none of it is guaranteed.

Fantasy Spin: Flacco should be viewed as a QB2 in the majority of fantasy formats, with the potential to be a suitable bye-week replacement or starting option when he possesses a favorable matchup.

Feb 13 3:23pm ET

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco was traded by the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for the 11th pick in the fourth round (106 overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Feb 13 11:50am ET

The Denver Broncos agreed in principle on a trade with the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday to acquire quarterback Joe Flacco, according to league sources. The trade can't officially be processed until the new NFL league year begins on March 13. When the deal is officially completed it will likely be for a mid-round pick. Baltimore will save $10.5 million in salary cap space with the move, but they will also carry $16 million in dead money in 2019. New Broncos head coach Vic Fangio was with Flacco for one season in Baltimore, so they have a short history together. The 34-year-old was benched in favor of rookie Lamar Jackson in Baltimore this year and has looked extremely mediocre in recent seasons. He's won a Super Bowl MVP, though, and is arguably a slight upgrade on Case Keenum, who is now likely to be released. Denver will try to win with the running game and defense, so Flacco will remain a mediocre QB2 target as he returns to a starting role with a new team.

Feb 13 11:33am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco is part of a trade agreed upon with the Denver Broncos Wednesday, Feb. 13, for a mid-round draft pick. The deal can't become official until March 13.

Feb 13 11:23am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco is part of an agreement in principle to be traded to the Denver Broncos Wednesday, Feb. 13. The trade can't become official until March 13.

Fantasy Spin: The trade moves the needle more in actual football than in fantasy football. Flacco will remain a QB2 option to be used in good matchups. Case Keenum could still have a chance to compete, or he could be released altogether.

Jan 25 12:43pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco is expected to part ways with the Ravens this offseason, and ideally the Ravens would like to find a trade partner to acquire the veteran quarterback. To that end, head coach John Harbaugh said Flacco's 'value is high' in a news conference Friday, Jan. 26, and added he can be 'one of the best' in the league if he's protected well and playing with suitable weapons on offense.

Fantasy Spin: In a QB-needy league, some team will likely pursue Flacco, but the statistical backing isn't on the veteran QB's side as Flacco has averaged a ho-hum 3,729 passing yards 19 TDs and 14 interceptions over his last two full seasons. He's more journeyman than elite at this stage entering his 12th season.

Jan 19 1:53pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco and Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles could receive interest from the Denver Broncos this offseason, in the opinion of 9News.com's Mike Klis.

Fantasy Spin: Flacco and Foles likely will receive interest from multiple teams, so it is not known if the Broncos will be able to add one of them. The Broncos probably will bring in another quarterback to compete with Case Keenum for the starting job next season. Owners should consider the Broncos starting quarterback as a No. 2 fantasy option next season.

Jan 12 4:03pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco is one of the quarterbacks the Jacksonville Jaguars are considering pursuing this offseason, according to sources. Flacco is believed to be open to joining the Jaguars.

Fantasy Spin: Flacco lost his starting job this season and likely will be playing with a new team in 2019. The Jaguars would have to trade for him, but he would be the starting quarterback if he joins the Jaguars. He has played well at times during his career but would only be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he plays for Jacksonville.

Jan 8 5:10pm ET

The Baltimore Ravens have already decided that Lamar Jackson will be their starting quarterback in 2019 and that veteran Joe Flacco will not be part of the team. The Ravens will either trade or release the 11th-year pro. Flacco started off the season strong but struggled in Weeks 5-through -9, as the Ravens lost four of five games, before getting hurt against the Steelers (Week 9). The 33-year-old finished the season with a 61.2 completion percentage along with 2,465 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also added 45 rushing yards on 19 attempts. While it is unknown where Flacco, who is the greatest quarterback in Ravens' history, will end up or what his role will be, he will likely start the season as a low-end QB2 at the very best.

Dec 16 12:43pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco has been replaced by rookie Lamar Jackson as the team's starter and is not expected back with the team next season. 'Look at Flacco's future: He's 33 years old, he's set to make $18.5 million dollars next year,' the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Sunday, Dec. 16 on NFL Game Day Morning. 'The Ravens are expected to move on from him this offseason. They'll incur $16 million of dead money, but, of course, they're not going to bring him back as a backup making $16 million. All of which is to say if Flacco decides he wants to continue playing, he's actually going to be a fairly coveted free agent this offseason. Rarely do starting quarterbacks become available, and Joe Flacco absolutely is.'

Fantasy Spin: Flacco averaged 273.9 passing yards per game this season with 12 TD passes and six interceptions as a low-end QB2 and will be at or near the top of the list of the veteran QBs available.

Dec 16 12:10pm ET

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco (hip) is active in Week 15 against the Buccaneers. However, rookie Lamar Jackson will receive his fifth straight start and has QB1 upside against Tampa's bad defense. With Flacco back on the sidelines, Robert Griffin III is a healthy scratch. Running back Ty Montgomery is also a healthy scratch for this game. Flacco should be the backup the rest of the way but could be in on a few trick plays for Baltimore. He shouldn't be owned in single-QB leagues anymore.

Dec 14 4:13pm ET

Baltimore Ravens CB Brandon Carr (not injury related), OL Alex Lewis (shoulder), CB Jimmy Smith (not injury related) and LB Terrell Suggs (not injury related) did not practice Friday, Dec. 14. Lewis is listed as doubtful for Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while the others were removed from the report. CB Marlon Humphrey (groin) and S Tony Jefferson (ankle) were limited in practice and are listed as questionable, as are QB Joe Flacco (hip), LB Anthony Levine (ankle), CB Tavon Young (groin) and LB Tim Williams (ankle) who were able to practice in full. WR John Brown (not injury related), QB Lamar Jackson (ankle), S Eric Weddle (not injury related) and OT Marshal Yanda (not injury related) each practiced in full and were removed from the report.

Dec 14 3:50pm ET

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco (hip) practiced in full all week but is questionable for Week 15 against the Buccaneers. Flacco should return this Sunday, but he'll be backing up rookie Lamar Jackson now. Jackson could be on a shorter leash if he struggles if Flacco is active, but Flacco has no business being owned in single-quarterback leagues now.
