Free-agent linebacker Cam Brown is signing with the Miami Dolphins, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN. Brown spent the last four seasons with the New York Giants after being selected by the organization in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Penn State. In his first 60 NFL games, the 26-year-old accumulated 35 tackles (24 solo) and two forced fumbles. He posted seven special teams tackles last season, which is where he will likely contribute for the Fins in 2024.

Miami Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips (Achilles) continues to rehab after tearing his Achilles in the Week 12 win over the New York Jets in November. After undergoing surgery and ditching a walking boot, the 24-year-old appears to have a chance to be ready for Week 1 of the 2024-25 campaign. Phillips, while speaking with ESPN on Saturday, stated he's "attacking it every day" while adding he'll "definitely" be back healthy for the season. The 2021 No. 18 overall pick has been a menace since entering the league, totaling 146 tackles (88 solo), 22 sacks, and one interception in 42 career games. With that in mind, while Phillips' optimism is encouraging for IDP managers, he could have a tough time getting back to form after coming off such a devastating injury.

The New York Jets came close to signing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers LB Shaquil Barrett in free agency but the Miami Dolphins swooped in with a last-minute contract offer, according to an interview that Barrett did recently with Zach Gelb of CBS Sports Radio.

The Miami Dolphins restructured the contract of outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (knee) on Tuesday by converting $13.75 million of his base salary this year into a signing bonus. The move creates an extra $11 million in 2024 salary cap space for the team. In his first full season with the Dolphins in 2023, Chubb started 16 games before tearing his ACL late in the season. Because of the timing of the injury, there's a good chance he won't be ready for the start of the 2024 campaign this fall. In his 16 starts, the 27-year-old former fifth overall pick by the Denver Broncos in 2018 out of North Carolina State had 73 tackles (45 solo), 11 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, 22 QB hits, a league-high six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Because of his knee injury, Chubb's IDP fantasy value will take a hit in 2024.

Free-agent cornerback Kendall Fuller is signing a two-year, $16.5 million deal to join the Miami Dolphins, as reported by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The 29-year-old was originally selected by the Washington Redskins in the third round of the 2016 NFL draft. He spent two seasons there before two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, and then came back to play for the Commanders for four seasons. Overall, Fuller has compiled 486 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, 16 interceptions, and 75 passes defended in 117 career games. With Xavien Howard out of Miami, Fuller is slated to start in the secondary opposite star cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Former Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer is signing an undisclosed one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday, according to his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Kyle Lincoln. Poyer, an All-Pro in 2021 and a Pro Bowler in 2022 with the Bills, had 100 tackles (66 solo), one sack, four passes defended and one forced fumble in 16 regular-season starts in his seventh and final season in Buffalo in 2023. He will join the division-rival Dolphins after the Bills cut him last week. The soon-to-be 33-year-old veteran defensive back may be past his days of fantasy relevance in IDP formats and is now more of an injury risk, but he should form a strong safety duo in his new home in Miami with Jevon Holland. Poyer has had 100-plus combined tackles in four of his last six seasons and also 17 interceptions during that span.

Free-agent edge rusher Shaquil Barrett is signing a one-year deal worth up to $9 million with the Miami Dolphins. Barrett was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a few weeks ago after 45 sacks in 70 games over the last five seasons. The 31-year-old's production has slowed down since his 19.5-sack season in 2019, but he can still likely be an active rotational pass rusher for Miami in 2024. Star edge rusher Bradley Chubb (knee) suffered a torn ACL on December 31, so Barrett might be heavily relied on for pressuring the quarterback early in the new campaign.

Former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Jordyn Brooks agreed to terms with the Miami Dolphins on Monday on a three-year, $30 million deal. Despite seeing a drop in production in 16 games in his fourth season with the Seahawks in 2023, Brooks was still relevant in IDP fantasy leagues at his position with 111 tackles (62 solo), a career-high 4.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, five QB hits, an interception returned to the house, four passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. The 26-year-old was hurt by the return of fellow tackle machine Bobby Wagner last year, but now that he's in Miami, Brooks could once again become an every-week, must-start linebacker in IDP formats. In the last three seasons, Brooks has a whopping 274 solo tackles and 6.5 sacks.

The Miami Dolphins are re-signing veteran safety Elijah Campbell to a one-year deal, the organization announced on Friday. Campbell has played in 38 games for Miami since 2021, totaling 29 tackles, two passes defended, and one fumble recovery. He is a depth defensive back with special teams ability. He played 301 special teams snaps in 2023, which ranked fourth among all Dolphins players.

Updating previous reports, Buffalo Bills S Jordan Poyer, S Siran Neal, C Mitch Morse, WR Deonte Harty and RB Nyheim Hines were officially released Wednesday, March 6.

From TheHuddle

Mar 6 4:40pm ET

The Buffalo Bills are releasing center Mitch Morse and cornerback Siran Neal ahead of free agency, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. The team also released safety Jordan Poyer and wide receiver Deonte Harty on Wednesday, so clearing cap space is evidently the goal. Morse signed with Buffalo on a four-year $44.5 million deal in 2019 after four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, and he earned a trip to the Pro Bowl in 2022. His current deal was not set to expire until after the 2024 season, but the Bills will save $8.5 million on the cap by releasing him. Neal, a former fifth-round pick, sees his contract terminated after six seasons with the organization, mostly as a depth and special teams player. Buffalo clears $2.88 million in cap space following his release.

Mar 6 4:30pm ET

The Buffalo Bills are releasing long-time starting safety Jordan Poyer, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The one-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro signed with the Bills in 2017 and has played in 107 games for the organization. Originally selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Poyer has accumulated 807 tackles, 12 sacks, 24 interceptions, and 54 passes defended over his 12-year career. The 32-year-old is now a free agent, and it will be interesting to see if he has a robust market considering his age. The release of Poyer saves the Bills $5.7 million on the cap.
