Thielen had injury issues last year and struggled to get going. He had one 100-yard game during the regular season and another in the playoffs. Thielen finished with 30 receptions for 418 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games. He had two straight 1,200-yard seasons before last year. He remains a big part of the Vikings passing game and maybe their top receiver in the offense. Thielen just makes plays. He runs top routes and can be a big-play threat despite lacking some top-end speed for the position. He has plus hands and a knack for making clutch plays. Fantasy Outlook: Thielen is a good buy-low candidate after last year. He can get back to his numbers of past years as long as he is healthy. Consider him an elite No. 2 for fantasy teams, getting around 90 receptions for 1,200 yards and 10 scores.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen finds himself in a slightly different place in 2020 than he has in previous seasons. With Stefon Diggs now in Buffalo and the team relying on rookie Justin Jefferson and either Bisi Johnson or Tajae Sharpe to play big minutes, Thielen is the unquestioned No. 1 option for the Vikes now. A healthy Thielen should see a massive amount of targets, maybe even the 153 he received in 2018, and seems bound for his second 100-reception season. An injury-plagued 2019 saw Thielen play in 10 games, catching just 30 passes for 418 yards, though he turned six of those into touchdowns. If we assume he enters 2020 with a clean bill of health, we can just go ahead and scrap anything from last year in our projection for this upcoming season. Thielen should be a reliable fantasy WR2 due to his projected market share and his usually-high catch rate, and with him likely being drafted in the third round in most 12-team leagues, Thielen should be a valuable addition to any fantasy team. Its worth the injury risk. Its also worth the risk that increased defensive pressure on Thielen causes him to be less effective, because his overall volume should even out some of those worries. Trust Adam Thielen in 2020.

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen ranked second in the league with 10 receiving touchdowns inside the 10 in 2020, according to Pro Football Focus.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen had his contract restructured Thursday, March 18, according to multiple league sources. His base salary was converted to a signing bonus, saving the team $8 million and reducing his cap hit from $13.468 million to $5.698 million for the 2021 season.
Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins went 28-for-40 for 405 yards and three touchdowns against the Detroit Lions in Week 17. He also recorded a rushing touchdown during the game. RB Alexander Mattison rushed for 95 yards and one touchdown on 21 carries and also caught three passes for 50 yards and one touchdown. WR Justin Jefferson caught nine passes for 133 yards on 12 targets and WR Adam Thielen caught four passes for 57 yards on five targets.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will take on a Lions Defense in Week 17 that is allowing the sixth most fantasy points to opposing receivers. Thielen heads into the final game with a career-high 14 touchdowns and the Lions have allowed 11 scores to receivers over their last six games. With the announcement that star running back Dalvin Cook will not suit up on Sunday, the Vikings could air it out against a bad Lions secondary. Thielen may be touchdown-dependent to post WR1 numbers but is a solid call and enters Week 17 with 70 receptions for 868 yards and those 14 scores heading into the final game of the Vikings season.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen caught eight passes for 97 yards and one touchdown against the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. He was targeted nine times during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Thielen has caught at least one touchdown in 10 of his 14 games this season and has recorded eight receptions in three of his last five games. He will continue to be a focal point in the passing game for the Vikings and should be a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues next week.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught a team-high eight passes for 97 yards and one touchdown in the Vikings 52-33 loss to the Saints on Christmas Day. It was, by and large, a quiet effort for Thielen and the Vikings passing game but some fourth quarter, garbage-time drives salvaged the veteran receiver's fantasy day. Thielen added to his career-high touchdown total with his 14th of the season in the final minutes. The Vikings will not factor into the playoff picture but Thielen should see a healthy amount of targets in the final week of the season.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will go up against a Saints Defense in Week 16 that is allowing the 10th fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers this season. It has been a mixed season for Thielen, who has only 771 receiving yards on the season but a career-high 13 touchdowns. He will need a score to justify his fantasy value against a Saints defense that has not allowed an opposing receiver to post 20 or more fantasy points against them since Week 7. Thielen will be a touchdown-dependent option in Week 16 on Christmas Day.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen caught two of his three targets for 11 yards and a touchdown in a 33-27 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 15.
Fantasy Spin: Thielen's reception and yardage totals have fluctuated more than usual this season, but he has shown a nose for the end zone. He has scored 13 touchdowns in 13 games, scoring at least once in nine separate contests. Thielen's touchdown potential should keep him in starting lineups in all formats.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught only two passes for 11 yards but secured a touchdown in the Vikings 33-27 loss to the Bears in Week 15. Thielen got the Vikings on the board early with a three-yard score and now has 13 touchdowns on the season. The veteran's receptions and yardage is way off his career pace but the touchdowns have salvaged his fantasy relevance. Thielen will be a touchdown-dependent option next week against the Saints in Week 16.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will try and add to his total of 12 touchdowns in Week 15 against the Bears. Thielen was held to only 39 yards last week but scored two touchdowns against Chicago in Week 10. The Bears Defense is allowing the third fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers this season but have been carved up in recent weeks by the Titans A.J. Brown, the Lions Marvin Jones Jr. and Thielen's teammate Justin Jefferson. Thielen's value will be tied to touchdowns, adding a hint of risk, in Week 15 against the Bears in a must-win game.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen had just three grabs for 39 yards on four targets in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Fantasy Spin: Thielen's performance was a major bummer for fantasy owners who have ridden him to three straight outstanding showings. He remains a must-start heading into Week 15 against the Chicago Bears, especially for PPR owners. He had four grabs for 43 yards and two scores in the first meeting in Chicago back in Week 10.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught only three passes for 39 yards in the Vikings 26-14 loss to the Buccaneers in Week 14. The Vikings passing attack was stifled the entire game and Thielen was unable to make an impact. The veteran has 12 touchdowns on the season but has been ineffective, from a fantasy perspective, if he doesn't come up with a score. Thielen will head into next week with 60 catches for 760 yards and will need to find the end zone to maximize his value against the Bears in Week 15.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will take on a Buccaneers Defense that is allowing the ninth most fantasy points to opposing receivers. Tampa Bay has been torched by the Rams and Chiefs the past two weeks and the Vikings offense has really come to life over the past month. Thielen's receptions and yard totals are bit behind his normal output at this point in the season but leads the Vikings with 12 touchdown receptions. The veteran has five scores over his last three games and is averaging 9.6 targets a game during that span. The Vikings are fighting for a playoff spot and Thielen should see plenty of targets as the Buccaneers have allowed 14 touchdowns to the wide receiving position this season. Thielen presents WR2 value, with WR1 upside, in Week 14.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen ended up with eight catches, 75 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets in Week 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fantasy Spin: Thielen was back from a one-game absence, and he was the same as he ever was. That's three straight games with at least one touchdown grab, posting five total during the span, and he has eight grabs and 11 targets in each of his past two. The fantasy stud will look to stay hot in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught eight passes for 75 yards with one touchdown in the Vikings 27-24 overtime win over the Jaguars in Week 13. With rookie Justin Jefferson burning opponents downfield, Thielen has been effective carving up the intermediary passing game. Thielen now has 12 touchdowns on the season and has at least one score in eight games. Despite his modest yardage totals at times, Thielen will secure WR1/2 status next week as the veteran is averaging 7.9 targets this season and is an elite red zone threat.
The Minnesota Vikings activated wide receiver Adam Thielen from the COVID-19 list, and he will practice on Wednesday. Thielen tested positive for the virus last week and was forced to sit out of the Week 12 win over the Panthers. He should be good to go for a juicy Week 13 matchup against the Jaguars Defense, a unit that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts. Thielen will return as the team's No. 1 wideout next to impressive rookie Justin Jefferson. Before missing Week 12, the 30-year-old caught eight of his 11 targets for 123 yards and two touchdowns against Dallas in Week 11. Thielen has four touchdowns in his last two games and will have clear WR1 upside in his return this weekend.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Dec. 2, and he'll practice.
Fantasy Spin: It looks like he'll be good to go as a great WR2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen hopefully will be cleared to play in the Week 13 game, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. Thielen is currently on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players should monitor the situation during the week to see if Thielen will be able to play. He is one of the better receivers in the NFL when healthy and can be a No. 1 or No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues if available.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen has been ruled out for Week 12's game versus the Carolina Panthers. He is still on the Reserve/COVID-19 list but it remains uncertain whether he actually had the virus. Thielen initially received a positive test, followed by a negative test, a second positive test and a second negative test.
Fantasy Spin: Justin Jefferson will serve as Minnesota's top receiver this afternoon, with Olabisi Johnson expected to start across from him. Jefferson can be viewed as a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3 option in fantasy leagues, while Johnson is a desperation play at best.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen isn't expected to play in Week 12 against the Panthers after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this week, according to a source. Thilen remains on the team's COVID-19 list, barring a change this weekend. It's a crushing blow to any fantasy managers that were relying on Thielen, the league leader with 11 touchdowns, to get them into the fantasy playoffs. Rookie Justin Jefferson, who has already proven to be a must-start fantasy asset, is likely to see double-digit targets in this one with Thielen sidelined. OlaBisi Johnson, Tajae Sharpe and Chad Beebe will fight for targets behind Jefferson, but none of that trio is a particularly intriguing deep-league flex play as a sleeper.
