New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill has been unable to find much success since returning in Week 5. Hill missed the beginning of the season while recovering from an ACL injury dating back to last season. The assumption was that Hill would be eased back into action, but he has barely seen the field over the last four games. Last week, Hill hauled in his lone target for six yards and rushed for six yards on two carries in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It doesn't appear that the Saints plan on getting Hill heavily involved in their offense. He has seen the field for less than 20 percent of the offensive snaps in three of his first four games. The 35-year-old is avoidable for the upcoming Week 9 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill ran twice for six yards and added a six-yard catch in a Week 8 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill caught both of his targets for 12 yards and ran twice for minus-four yards in Week 7 against the Chicago Bears.
Fantasy Spin: Hill has not been a fantasy factor in any of the three weeks he's played this season.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints tight end/quarterback Taysom Hill recorded just one carry for one yard in the Week 6 loss to the Patriots, but it was enough for the 35-year-old Swiss Army knife to find the end zone. This was only his second game back since tearing his ACL in Week 13 of 2024, and so far he's logged seven carries for zero yards and a touchdown while also completing his lone pass attempt for 19 yards in Week 5. Hill remains one of the most unpredictable players in football, but a favorable matchup against a Bears defense allowing 156.4 rushing yards per game could give him a spark. He ranks as a TE2 with week-winning upside if he sees enough opportunities across the board.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill had a one-yard touchdown run against the New England Patriots in Week 1. It was his only carry of the game.
Fantasy Spin: Hill, who scored 21 touchdowns over the past three years, has not been used much in two games under new head coach Kellen Moore. He did score on Sunday, however, and his positional eligibility at tight end seems to perennially make him a possible lottery ticket play. Barring an increased role, the downside will remain substantial.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore said that tight end/quarterback Taysom Hill has "been taking reps" at quarterback and is "definitely available to be a backup quarterback" to Saints starter Spencer Rattler. Hill famously played quarterback in college and started nine games under center for New Orleans across the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The 35-year-old completed a 19-yard pass in Week 5, his first game of 2025 after being activated off the physically unable to perform list. Hill is officially third on the Saints quarterback depth chart behind Rattler and rookie Tyler Shough. Most likely, Hill will see most of his touches as a rusher and receiver in a gadget role. Still, any significant playing time at quarterback would make Hill a must-start player in fantasy, as he would likely still be eligible at the tight end position in most league formats.
From RotoBaller
The New Orleans Saints' Swiss-Army Knife and "do it all man" Taysom Hill suited up on Sunday for the first time in 2025 after suffering a torn ACL in Week 13 of 2024. He served as the backup quarterback behind starter Spencer Rattler, while also fulfilling his regular role as a gadget player. He stepped in and completed his only pass for 19 yards, and had six carries for negative one yard, good for 0.66 fantasy points. Hill has always been a bit of a boom-or-bust option in the fantasy community. Still, if he were to step in for any serious time at quarterback, or continue to see six to 10 carries a game, he could easily provide TE1 fantasy production; however, there will be weeks like this, where it's close to a goose egg. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues can roster him and see how things play out over the next few weeks.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill completed his only pass attempt for 19 yards during the Week 5 game against the New York Giants. He also rushed for negative one yard on six carries during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Hill was not used as a receiver during the game but was used as a quarterback and runner out of the backfield. Fantasy players should probably continue to watch him over the next few games to see if he will be a valuable fantasy option.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints quarterback/tight end Taysom Hill (knee) is officially active for his 2025 season debut in Week 5 on Sunday against the visiting New York Giants, according to Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune. Hill was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Saturday and will play for the first time this year after suffering a torn ACL in Week 13 of 2024. He will be the backup QB behind starter Spencer Rattler while also serving in his normal gadget role in head coach Kellen Moore's offense. The 35-year-old do-it-all offensive piece will give the Saints offense a boost as they search for their first win of the season, but it's difficult to project how involved he'll be in his first game of the year. Hill is worth a bench stash as a tight end in deeper leagues, but he'll most likely be a boom/bust fantasy asset all year.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints quarterback/tight end Taysom Hill (knee) will be listed second on the depth chart behind quarterback Spencer Rattler during Sunday's Week 5 game against the New York Giants, according to Jeff Duncan of NOLA.com. However, Hill will operate out of his usual gadget role, which could include designed runs, targets, and pass attempts. As Duncan notes, listing Hill as the QB2 gives New Orleans some flexibility. He'll handle his gadget role as usual, but if Rattler were to get injured, Hill could simply slide in as the quarterback. This means that rookie Tyler Shough will likely be inactive as the emergency third quarterback. For now, Hill, who was activated from the PUP list on Saturday, is nothing more than a speculative bench stash in deeper leagues. However, we know from previous seasons that he has top-12 tight end upside, as he's capable of contributing rushing, receiving, and passing stats at the tight end position.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill (knee) was activated off the PUP list and is ready to make his season debut against the New York Giants in Week 5. This marks the first time that Hill has played since suffering a torn ACL in Week 13 of last season. In eight games last season, Hill recorded 23 receptions for 187 yards with 278 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground. There is some touchdown-dependent value here, but it's unclear how much Hill is going to play in his first game. Hill is worth a stash for tight end needy fantasy managers, but isn't an ideal streaming option for Week 5.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (knee) was activated from the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list Saturday, Oct. 4.
Fantasy Spin: Hill likely will be in uniform this week against the New York Giants but will probably see a limited workload since he has not played since last season. He is not a starting fantasy option at this point but can be an option later in the season since he should be involved in both the running and passing game.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill (knee) is questionable to play in Week 5 against the New York Giants, per the team's beat reporter Erin Summers. Hill tore his ACL in Week 12 of 2024 and began the year on the physically unable to perform list, but he appears to be nearing a return to the field. Hill rushed for 278 yards and six touchdowns while also catching 23 passes for 187 yards across eight games before getting hurt last season. He should resume his dual-threat role once he returns to the lineup. That could take playing time away from Saints tight end Juwan Johnson, who has been one of the most productive players at the position from a fantasy perspective so far this season. When he returns, Hill should be considered a low-end starting tight end option in fantasy given his role as a goal-line weapon.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 3, and is listed as questionable for Week 5.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if Hill will be added to the 53-man roster before the Week 5 game. He will probably be eased back into the offense, so he will not be a fantasy option in his first week or two back. He can be involved in both the running and passing game once he is fully healthy and could be a possible low-end No. 1 tight end later in the season.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints OG Cesar Ruiz (ankle), DE Chase Young (calf), WR Trey Palmer (ankle) and CB Isaac Yiadom (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 3, and have been ruled out for Week 5. TE Juwan Johnson (ankle), OG Trevor Penning (ankle), OG Dillon Radunz (toe), TE Taysom Hill (knee) and TE Foster Moreau (knee) were limited during practice and are listed as questionable. DT John Ridgeway (shoulder) fully participated in practice but is listed as questionable. S Justin Reid (knee) and DT Davon Godchaux (non-injury) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.
From TheHuddle
The New Orleans Saints opened the 21-day practice window for do-everything tight end Taysom Hill (knee) this week, and while his participation from Friday's practice has yet to be publicized, he opened the week with two limited practices. Hill started the season on the PUP list and has been out of the Saints' lineup since sustaining a knee injury in Week 12 of the 2024 season. While Hill is about as untraditional a tight end as you will find, his presence will likely eat into the fantasy value of Juwan Johnson, who is third in the league in both targets and receptions at the position through four weeks. Hill's practice status on Friday is worth monitoring, as it could affect start/sit decisions on Johnson as fantasy managers look for any positional port in a storm with the arrival of NFL bye weeks.

New Orleans Saints OG Dillon Radunz (toe), OG Cesar Ruiz (ankle), DE Chase Young (calf), WR Trey Palmer (ankle), CB Isaac Yiadom (hamstring) and DT Davon Godchaux (non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 2. TE Juwan Johnson (ankle), OG Trevor Penning (ankle), TE Taysom Hill (knee) and TE Foster Moreau (knee) were limited during practice. S Justin Reid (knee) and DT John Ridgeway (shoulder) fully participated in practice.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 2.
Fantasy Spin: Hill returned to practice this week, so fantasy players should not expect him to play in the next game or two while he returns to game shape. He has fantasy value because of his ability to help in both the running and passing game but is not a starting option at this point.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 1.
Fantasy Spin: Hill is working his way back from a serious knee injury, so he likely will need a week or two of practice before he is ready to play. He helps in both the running and passing game when healthy and could be stashed on benches until he is ready to play.
