Ogunbowale barely saw the field last season until late in the year when the Texans were banged up at running back. He had at least seven carries each of the last four games. He did not top 35-rushing yards in any game, though, and failed to reach double-digit fantasy points. Ogunbowale had 227 total yards on the season. He will look to serve as the No. 2 or 3 back this coming season. Ogunbowale has good hands at the running back spot and can make some plays after the catch. He is not much of an inside runner, though, and lacks a little top-end speed for the running back spot.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Ogunbowale probably won't get much more work than last year. He might have a hard time finding the field this year unless injury hits. He could get around 200 total yards.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, free-agent running back Dare Ogunbowale agreed to a one-year deal to remain with the Texans. The 29-year-old spent the last two seasons in Houston. He made 29 appearances for the franchise during that span, amassing 50 carries for 158 yards and a touchdown while adding 22 catches for 122 yards. However, most of Ogunbowale's snaps were as a member of the special teams unit, and that likely won't change during the 2024-25 campaign. As a result, he's not expected to see any attention from fantasy managers, especially with Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce ahead on the depth chart.

Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn (quad) has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 9 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Running back Dare Ogunbowale is the team's emergency kickoff specialist, and he kicked the ball off to open the second half. It's too early to tell whether the Texans will attempt another field goal or simply pursue fourth-down conversions for the remainder of Sunday's game.
