Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed 29-of-53 passes for 334 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 15 against the Green Bay Packers. He also ran for 29 yards.
Fantasy Spin: The Bears managed to do a little better offensively than Week 1 against the Packers, but they were still lacking. Trubisky remains more of a QB2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 16 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky completed 29 of 53 passes for 348 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the Bears 21-13 loss to the Packers. With the team's slim playoff hopes alive, Trubisky and the offense came up short. Trubisky threw an inconsequential interception to end the first half but rebounded to zip a pass to receiver Anthony Miller for a score to make it a game. But despite some promising drives, the Bears offense failed consistently to convert them into points, unable to convert on three fourth-down situations. Trubisky was able to post a solid fantasy day but questions still remain moving forward about his ability to consistently operate an above average offense.
Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky will try and stay red-hot against a tough Packers Defense in Week 15. The Bears season is on the line and Trubisky has delivered in recent weeks, averaging 286 passing yards and racking up nine total touchdowns (two rushing, seven passing) over his last three games. Trubisky now will go up against a Packers defense that is allowing the seventh fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks, surrendering only 10 touchdown passes over their last nine games played. Only one quarterback (the Cowboys Dak Prescott) has posted more than 20 fantasy points against the Packers but they haven't faced a passer with the ability to run like Trubisky. The third-year quarterback's arrow is pointing up but fantasy owners should hesitate throwing him into starting lineups during the fantasy playoffs. Trubisky has an decent chance at top-12 numbers among quarterbacks for Week 15.
Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky finished with 244 yards on 23-for-31 passing while adding four touchdowns and an interception during the win over the Cowboys on Thursday. Trubisky shook off an early interception by tossing three touchdowns on the night, two of which went to Allen Robinson in the second quarter, before running one in off of a 23-yard attempt early in the fourth. While turnovers have been an issue (at times) for the 25-year-old, he has now compiled seven total touchdowns over the last two games. Nonetheless, things will get tougher in Week 15 against Green Bay, with Trubisky going 26-for-45 for 228 yards and a pick against the Packers back in Week 1.
Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed 23 of 31 passes for 244 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in a Week 14 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. He also ran 10 times for 63 yards and a score.
Fantasy Spin: It was relatively easy to dismiss Trubisky's Thanksgiving performance against the Lions, but it might be time to take another look at the much-maligned trigger man. Trubisky looked decisive and aggressive Thursday night, including the return of his long-absent running ability. He'll travel to Lambeau Field in Week 15 to face a team that hasn't exactly locked down QBs this season. It'd be a risk to plug him into your lineup, but it's at least something to think about depending on your other options.
Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky is playing his best football of the season but will have a daunting matchup against the Cowboys on Thursday night. Trubisky has scored multiple touchdowns in three of his last four games but will face a Cowboys Defense that is allowing the 10th fewest fantasy points to opposing passers. Dallas has allowed multiple touchdowns to quarterbacks in three of their last four games but are allowing an average of only 208.5 passing yards a game over their last six played. Trubisky is slowly beginning to salvage a disastrous first half of the season but cannot be trusted to deliver top-10 numbers in Week 14.
Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky finished 29-of-38 for a season-high 338 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in Week 13 versus the Detroit Lions. He added four yards rushing on four carries.
Fantasy Spin: While the numbers say Trubisky was on his game, the fact of the matter was he got a lot of help from his talented supporting cast - especially Anthony Miller - and benefited from playing against a poor pass defense. Of his 2,196 passing yards and 13 TD passes this season, 511 of the yards and six of the scores have come against the Lions. In the off chance owners played the matchup with Trubisky, congratulations. He should go back to the waiver wire in most leagues.
Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky completed 29 of 38 passes for 338 yards, three touchdowns and one interception as the Bears edged the Lions 24-20 on Thanksgiving. It was, by far, Trubisky's best fantasy effort of the season and hit his receivers up for some huge gains. Trubisky delivered a strike to Allen Robinson in the first quarter to get the Bears on the board early and then connected with tight end Jesper Horsted and running back David Montgomery in the second half for two more scores. The matchup was kind to the third-year quarterback and Trubisky came up huge to bring the Bears back to .500.
Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky will face a Lions Defense for the second time this season on Thanksgiving to kick off Week 13. Trubisky tossed three touchdowns against the Lions in Week 10 and Detroit's defense is allowing the fourth most fantasy points to opposing passers this season. Trubisky has been one of the worst starting quarterbacks in fantasy this season but has posted 20-plus fantasy points in two of his last three games. The third-year quarterback will have excellent value in DFS leagues but is not playable in standard formats for Week 13.
Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed 25-of-41 passes for 278 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 12 against the New York Giants and he also rushed for a score.
Fantasy Spin: Trubisky saved his stat line with the rushing score, but overall he was just so-so. It's a quick turnaround for Trubisky and the Bears, but they'll face a favorable matchup in the early Thanksgiving game on the road against the Detroit Lions.
Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky completed 25 of 41 passes for a season-high 278 yards, two total touchdowns and two interceptions in the Bears 19-14 win over the Giants. It was another ugly performance for the Bears offense but Trubisky came to life in the third quarter. He was able to make some deep connections with receiver Allen Robinson, one for a touchdown, and added his first rushing touchdown of the season. But the third-year quarterback threw his third red zone interception of the season, tied for most in the NFL, and the offense again struggled on third downs. Trubisky is not a fantasy starter but will have streaming appeal this Thursday on Thanksgiving against the hapless Lions.
Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (hip) does not appear on the team's Week 12 injury report after practicing in full Friday, Nov. 22, and is expected to start Week 12 against the New York Giants.
Fantasy Spin: It's a good news/bad news scenario for the Bears' offense which has struggled mightily this season, particularly of late. Still, it's a plus matchup Sunday against the defensively-challenged Giants so feel free to plug in Trubisky in deeper two-QB leagues.
Chicago Bears TE Adam Shaheen (foot) and LB Danny Trevathan (elbow) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 12 against the New York Giants. LB Isaiah Irving (quad) was upgraded to a full practice Friday, Nov. 22, and is listed as questionable. DT Bilal Nichols (knee) popped up on the injury report and was limited in practice Friday, while QB Mitchell Trubisky (hip) and OL Bobby Massie (back) continued to practice in full; all three players have been removed from the injury report.
Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (hip) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 21.
Fantasy Spin: Trubisky is on track to start this week as long as he does not suffer a setback. He should have a favorable matchup this week but probably should only be a possible starting option in two-quarterback leagues.
Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy said that quarterback Mitch Trubisky (hip) had a good practice on Wednesday, but he's still "day-to-day." Nagy called Trubisky's practice on Wednesday "a step in the right direction." Unless Trubisky has a setback in practice, he should be in line to start under center in Week 12 against the Giants. The matchup is a good one, but Trubisky needs to be far from starting lineups as one of the worst QBs in the league in 2019. He ranks 28th in the league in total yards (1,580) and is also tied with the likes of Teddy Bridgewater, Andy Dalton and Case Keenum with just nine touchdowns all year. Another bad game and we could see Chase Daniel starting in Week 13 or sooner.
Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (hip) had a 'good' practice Wednesday, Nov. 20, head coach Matt Nagy said Thursday, adding that he expects Trubisky to practice in full again Thursday.
Fantasy Spin: The Bears' offense has hit the skids, averaging only 14.3 points over their last four games, and there is much doubt about Trubisky's Chicago future following this season. For now, though, he remains the Bears' starter, but he is usable only in deeper two-QB leagues.
Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky (hip) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. Trubisky said he's feeling good after suffering an injury in the Sunday night loss to the Rams. The signal-caller has taken a big step back in 2019, though, and he has very little upside in fantasy, even as a QB2. If he's healthy enough to play this weekend against the Giants he will, but even in the good matchup not many fantasy owners should be relying on him. Another bad game or even a bad couple of quarters and the Bears could go to backup Chase Daniel.
Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (hip) practiced in full Wednesday, Nov. 20, and is expected to start against the New York Giants Sunday, Nov. 24.
Fantasy Spin: Trubisky hasn't thrown for 200 yards in three straight games and is a low-end QB2. He should receive a slight boost against the woeful pass defense of the Giants.
Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy said that quarterback Mitch Trubisky (hip) is dealing with "a right hip pointer" that he suffered in the Sunday night loss to the Rams. Trubisky was injured at the end of the second quarter and was then benched before the final drive with the team trailing. The third-year QB has taken a step back in 2019 under Nagy, going 176-for-282 (62.4 percent) for 1,580 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions in nine games played. He's yet to go over 253 yards passing in a game this year. His injury doesn't sound serious, but Trubisky will be a low-level QB2 in Week 12 if he plays, despite the good matchup against the Giants. If Trubisky looks bad again, backup Chase Daniel might take over the gig to close out the year.
Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (hip) suffered a right hip pointer when he was sacked at the end of the second quarter in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Matt Nagy. Trubisky was pulled from the game late in favor of Chase Daniel, but Nagy insisted the move was made due to the injury. 'Every decision that was made, it had zero to do with his play. It was completely based off his injury and where he was at,' Nagy said.
Fantasy Spin: Trubisky was not particularly good again in Week 11 even before the injury. His play across the board has deteriorated from last year, and one of the biggest differences in his game in 2019 is how little he has scrambled (and how ineffective he has been at doing it). Trubisky has two good upcoming matchups against the New York Giants and Detroit Lions, but it will be difficult for owners to start him in fantasy at any point the rest of the way.
