Los Angeles Chargers TE Hunter Henry (knee) is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks because of tibia plateau fracture to his left knee, according to a source.

Sep 11 3:20pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry (knee) suffered a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee in the Week 1 overtime win over the Colts. He'll continue to be evaluated, but there is no current timetable for his return. Henry missed all of last season with an injury, too, so he's quickly developing the injury-prone label. The 24-year-old had four catches on five targets for 60 yards in the opener. Fantasy owners will need to keep him benched until we have a better idea on when he might return. Virgil Green should fill in as the primary tight end moving forward, although he excels more as a blocker than as a pass-catcher. Keenan Allen and Mike Williams might be peppered with more targets now.

Los Angeles Chargers TE Hunter Henry (knee) suffered a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee during the Week 1 game. There is no timetable for his return.

Fantasy Spin: Henry likely will miss multiple weeks and could miss the rest of the season depending on the severity of the injury. Fantasy players should monitor the situation to have a better timetable for his return. Virgil Green is the No. 2 tight end at this time, but the Chargers may look to sign Antonio Gates again. Gates probably will not make a big impact on fantasy rosters.

Sep 9 2:40am ET

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry didn't do anything flashy in Week 1, but he was just what Philip Rivers was missing. Rivers is surrounded by guys who can take any touch to the house, but ever since tight end Antonio Gates hung up his cleats, he's needed someone who could be depended on to just be in the right spot down the middle to pick up a first down when the team needed it. Henry did just that on Sunday. He finished with four catches for 60 yards, averaging 15 YPC but with a long of just 22 yards on one play. He got almost no yards after each catch, but each time his number was called, he was there to swallow the pass and move the chains. If Henry can stay healthy and is on the same page as Rivers, he could have one of those quietly amazing years that tight ends seem to specialize in.

Sep 7 10:20am ET

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry has been one of the guys lost in the shuffle a bit during the offseason. With running back Melvin Gordon taking center stage by holding out, Philip Rivers getting attention by not playing in any preseason games for the first time in nearly 15 years, Keenan Allen showing out and then sitting out due to an ankle injury, and the two-headed monster of Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson trying to figure out how the backfield is going to work, Henry's return faded into the background a bit. Henry's return from a torn ACL officially happened in the team's final postseason game of 2018/19, but this week will really be his coming out party. This could be Henry's season, and he could remind everyone why he was considered a great 2nd-round pick just three years ago.

Aug 25 5:30pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry did his job again on Saturday as he hauled in both passes thrown to him. Henry only racked up 13 yards over the course of the game, but he was also only on the field for 21 snaps in total. The Chargers have had to play it safe with Henry because they have wanted him to get some game experience again as he comes back from injury, but his injury history leaves everyone leery about putting him on the field when it isn't absolutely necessary. With Keenan Allen dealing with an ankle injury and Melvin Gordon holding out, Henry has a real opportunity to become one of the team's primary offensive weapons.

Aug 10 10:00am ET

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry brought in both passes thrown his way in the team's preseason game against the Cardinals, showing that he was healthy and ready to be a regular target. Henry was heavily hyped coming into last season until he tore his ACL, but a pointless performance in last year's playoff game and an offseason filled with drama about other Chargers seems to have caused him to slip under some peoples' radar. He's still just as valuable a tight end, his team now has one less weapon with Melvin Gordon holding out, and he's still got Philip Rivers throwing to him. Henry should be one of the league's top TEs this year.

Aug 4 8:53pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers TE Hunter Henry (illness) returned to practice Sunday, Aug. 4.

Fantasy Spin: Henry is healthy and heads into the season as the clear No. 1 tight end for the Chargers. He should be a safe TE1 for fantasy owners, and he has a chance to finish as a top-five option at the position.

From TheHuddle

Aug 3 9:33pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers TE Hunter Henry (illness) exited during practice Saturday, Aug. 3, because of an illness.

Fantasy Spin: Injuries and Antonio Gates have prevented Henry from showing his full potential, but Henry is in line for a big role heading into the 2019 season. Target him in the middle rounds as a TE1 after the top options at the position are off the board.

From TheHuddle

Jun 23 9:23pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers TE Hunter Henry has been making impressive catches during spring practices, according to head coach Anthony Lynn. 'Hunter is just doing what Hunter Henry does,' Lynn said. 'He makes plays.'

Fantasy Spin: Henry's ability has never been questioned, but an injury derailed what was supposed to be a breakout 2018 campaign. A year later, his upside hasn't changed, and Henry should be viewed as a low-end TE1 candidate.

From TheHuddle

Apr 16 11:20am ET

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry (knee) said he's feeling good after missing the entire 2018 regular season after tearing his ACL last May. I'm pretty much full-go, Henry explained. Everything feels good. It still gets sore every once in a while, but it's nothing too bad. It's nothing that's crazy. It's just a workout soreness. The tight end worked with the other players during workouts on Monday and should be fully ready for Week 1. The 24-year-old should be the team's top pass-catching tight end in 2019 after he caught 45 passes for 579 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games in 2017. Henry has the chance to be a high-end TE1 if he stays healthy.
