Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson will play in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers. Head coach Sean McVay hinted that they could deploy three-running back sets. Henderson lined up wide as a receiver several times in the preseason. The third-round pick will play, but his fantasy value hinges on the health of star running back Todd Gurley (knee). In the event something happened to Gurley, Henderson would share work with Malcolm Brown. That uncertainty keeps the rookie as someone to own, but he doesn't figure to see enough of a chunk of work to be a contributor while Gurley is active.

Los Angeles Rams running backDarrell Hendersontook the first snaps of Saturday's contest against the Denver Broncos. With Todd Gurley and Malcolm Brown sitting out, Henderson struggled as the leader, as his 11 carries were only good for 28 yards. With a string of lackluster preseason performances (overall 23 carries for 57 yards), odds are that Brown will receive the bulk of the work if Gurley goes down. On draft day, Brown's ADP of 199 may be of better value than Henderson's ADP of 83.

Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson has been heavily involved in the offense during the first two preseason contests. Henderson has 12 rushing attempts for 29 yards and seven receptions for 33 yards through two games. He's listed as the third string running back for the Rams going into the season. However, he could play himself into some real game action this season. Todd Gurley is going to be the workhorse, so unless he goes down, Henderson likely won't have much fantasy value.

Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay consider running back Darrell Henderson as a change-of-pace back to Todd Gurley. McVay called Henderson a unique playmaker, but the pick was made more for Henderson's skills and not Gurley's knee. The Rams took Henderson with the sixth pick of the third round (70th overall). He's a home run hitter with the ball in his hands and has comparisons to Denver's Phillip Lindsay, but he won't see consistent touches in 2019 as long as Gurley remains healthy. You might consider him as a handcuff to Gurley because of the issues surrounding his knee.
