Gordon got in four games with the Ravens last season, rushing 26 times for 81 yards and a touchdown. It was the first time in his career he did not have more than 300-rushing yards in a season. Gordon is 31 years old and just trying to keep a roster spot at this point of his career. Gordon can still help as a backup. Gordon has just one 1,000-yard rushing season for his career but more than 900-rushing yards three times. Gordon is a big-play threat at running back with good moves and top speed. He can get to a next level in a hurry. Gordon catches the ball well and can serve as a top three-down back. He has lost a step in recent seasons, though, and isn't the same back from earlier in his career.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Gordon is trending down. He is not even worth a draft pick anymore. He might be worth grabbing off waivers if he starts getting consistent playing time once again.

The Baltimore Ravens re-signed running back Melvin Gordon III to their practice squad on Friday and also elevated wide receiver Dan Chisena and linebacker Josh Ross from the practice squad to the 53-man active roster for Saturday's Divisional Round playoff game against the Houston Texans. The Ravens waived Gordon earlier this week to make room for Dalvin Cook on the active, but he's now back in Baltimore as extra RB depth. Cook will serve as the No. 3 back behind Gus Edwards and Justice Hill this weekend, while Gordon will most likely be a healthy scratch. Chisena, 26, was cut from the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad just under two weeks ago and now will give Baltimore extra receiver depth for the Divisional Round.

The Baltimore Ravens are likely to re-sign running back Melvin Gordon III to their practice squad after waiving him on Wednesday to make room for Dalvin Cook, according to a source. The 30-year-old had been limited to a reserve role since signing with the Ravens before the start of training camp in July and finished with only 26 carries for 81 yards and one touchdown during the regular season behind Gus Edwards and Justice Hill. In the Week 18 regular season finale, Gordon fumbled for the 19th time in his career, the most by a non-quarterback since 2015. The former 15th overall pick in the 2015 draft by the Chargers, Gordon has rushed for 6,543 yards and 56 touchdowns in nine NFL seasons, but he'll be nothing more than RB depth for the Ravens for as long as they stay alive in the postseason.
From RotoBaller
The Baltimore Ravens announced on Wednesday that they have waived running back Melvin Gordon III. Gordon's departure makes room on the active roster for Dalvin Cook, who could be a pretty big part of Baltimore's backfield as they look for more production in the postseason next to Gus Edwards and Justice Hill. The 30-year-old Gordon saw action in just four games for the Ravens during the 2023 regular season and had only 26 carries for 81 yards and a touchdown and added three catches for 46 yards. Cook, who didn't look good at all earlier in the season with the New York Jets, will most likely serve as the Ravens' No. 3 running back behind Edwards and Hill during the postseason. With quarterback Lamar Jackson also gaining big chunks of yards with his legs, Cook won't be very appealing at all in fantasy playoff lineups.

Baltimore Ravens RB Melvin Gordon rushed for 10 yards and one touchdown on six carries against the Miami Dolphins in Week 17.
From TheHuddle
The Baltimore Ravens signed running back Melvin Gordon III from their practice squad to the active 53-man roster on Tuesday and placed rookie running back Keaton Mitchell (knee) on Injured Reserve in a corresponding move. Mitchell tore his ACL in Sunday night's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, which will put an end to what was quickly becoming an exciting first year in the NFL. The 30-year-old Gordon will now provide backfield depth behind Gus Edwards and Justice Hill for the rest of the regular season/postseason. The former first-rounder from Wisconsin has only seen action in two games for the Ravens in 2023, rushing the rock 13 times for 53 yards while catching all three of his targets for an additional 46 yards through the air. Gordon remains off the fantasy radar for now as long as both Edwards and Hill are healthy.

Baltimore Ravens RB Melvin Gordon was signed off the practice squad and added to the active roster on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
From TheHuddle
Baltimore Ravens RB Melvin Gordon III will be signed from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, per ESPN's Jamison Hensley. Gordon will take the roster spot of RB Keaton Mitchell (knee), who was injured during the team's Week 15 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fantasy Spin: Gordon has been carried on the practice squad all year as an emergency option, and now the Ravens will use it. He certainly has the pedigree to deliver, and he'll have fresh legs, but at this stage there's no reason to believe he'll be anything but a tertiary back behind Gus Edwards and Justice Hill. Such a role equates to zero fantasy value.
